Meet Sgt. Major Ronald Mailahn, the youngest Marine SGM
Yeah, that’s Sgt. Major Ronald Mailahn who claims to be the youngest sergeant major in the Marine Corps. He’d have to be with only nine years in the Corps, according to his hash marks on the sleeve. The good folks at POW Network decided that he needed broader exposure so they sent him to us.
They tell us he’s a 43-year-old car salesman who lives in his mother’s basement. He was a fireman until he ran up the firehouse phonebill with more than $800 in telephone calls to phone sex numbers and they fired his horny ass. According to his own profiles, he graduated from high school when he was 20 years old – a real over-achiever.
Did I mention that he was arrested for embezzling over $12,000 from the Barrington New Jersey girls little league association? Well, he did – that over-achiever thing working for him again. his defense in that case? He’s a Marine and he’d never violate his code of ethics and do something like that.
Well except that the NPRC has no record of him ever serving. Ever.
He has a philosophy that the more websites that he posts this information, the more credibility he has. So here’s his information posted on yet another website. let’s see how that philosophy works for him.
Oh, by the way, he just sent the good folks at POW Network an email threatening to…guess what…sue if they don’t remove the information from their website that he himself posted on the internet;

I honestly do not understand how these people screw up the order of awards. There are websites that can build racks for you, in the appropriate order, with the appropriate accoutrements for the relevant branch of service.

Why do so many of these phonies embellish “careers” that lasted only weeks or months? Sadly, a family member of mine fell into the phony category years ago. About fifteen years ago I was hanging out with him after he got off work and listened to him tell his coworkers about his experiences in Granada. I was young and never was good at math, but do recall that he didn’t enlist until ’85. Around the same time he was known as a former “recon” guy (scout, maybe?), and IIRC he claimed service in 75th Ranger. In actuality, he was Infantry at Benning, did a few years in Berlin Brigade, and was discharged after almost six years as an E-1 (never made it above E-4) after his wife left him and he lost it. His service was admirable enough, and I haven’t heard any outlandish claims since, but I’ll always remember his drunken braggadocio that one night.
A former brother-in-law almost got smacked down at the same relative’s house one night. One of my relative’s friends (the stereotypical big drunk brawler type) started getting on the former BIL about his choice of a Halloween costume. The brawler has a son who is an AD Marine and the former BIL deserted while on mid-tour leave from Iraq three years ago (he had it so tough working supply in an air conditioned building). Anyway, the latter decided ACUs would make a good “costume” and the brawler took offense to a coward deserter with a BCD wearing a uniform. Of course, the former BIl took the coward’s way out and tried to get my relative to intervene.
It must be a sad life that these phonies live in. Either they served and couldn’t hack it, or they never did serve, and now they attempt to pass themselves off as something they never were. Of course, there are the minority that actually had honorable service and decent post-military careers, such as the relative mentioned above or “Rock” from last year. As a Recruiter, I told young men and women that I always hear older people talk about how they wish they’d served, or had stayed in the service. I guess it’s just the next illogical step for some of those people to don a uniform or a title and spread tales of their “service” later in life–or in the case of Barwan and super-special “Ranger” guy from today, while they are still young enough to join (of course, most younger phonies have criminal records or already messed up their chance to enlist).
Occasionally, I’ll Google a couple of my former Soldiers as well as my former brother-in-law to see what I find. One former Soldier hasn’t crossed the line yet–online at least–probably because he’s FB friends with many Soldiers. Checking his FB, though, he’s always all over the US Army Infantry page (he got booted 3.5 years ago) and has pictures that could mislead some civilians.

When you have had to pop the blisters on your feet after a a 20 mile ruck march because you didn’t want to miss the next day of training by going to sick call, when you have Pushed yourself past a charlie horse because you weren’t completely hydrated for a PT run but didn’t want to fall out or fail, when you have sprained your ankle multiple times in the field buy have kept on pushing yourself because your squad was counting on you, then… and only then, can you wear the uniform.
Before that, you are nothing more than a pathetic wimp who thinks it is fun to play dress up to get attention. So, get off your ass, go out there, and do something that earns you some actual honor rather than trying to live off the honor of those who are clearly better than you.

Dimbulb sent me some pictures of a MUCH younger him in BDUs and wearing a 2d ID patch. I didn’t know that Marines wore the Army 2ID patch. He sent me a picture of a yearbook for BCT at Fort Lost-in-the-woods. I didn’t know Marines went to BCT at Leonardwood. The fact remains, even if these pictures prove anything, he’s not a sergeant major in the Marines which was our original contention. Everything on the internet says “youngest Marine sergeant major” not “oldest PV2 Army Engineer in Korea”. And I don’t know why he just doesn’t send us his DD214 – because those pictures don’t look anything like him now, so I can’t be sure if it is indeed him or not.
Oh, he also sent me a picture of a turd in his toilet bowl, so I guess that’s some sort of proof, too.

- Pic in blues has no pistol badge. All SNCO’s are all required to be pistol qualified and uniform requlations state that all badges are required to be worn on blues, including marksmanship badges (unless medals are worn). Been that way since Gen Conway was CMC.
- Pic in blues has a missing button for fuck’s sake.
- Pic Charlies has badges are pinned to pocket. Forget the whole 1/8″, that’s not even close to correct.
- Ribbons are completely in the wrong order.
- There’s no way a SgtMaj would only have 1 Good Conduct Medal.

WOW! Things have really changed since I was in. We had active divisions 1, 2 & 3 and division 4 was the Marine Reserves. The closest thing we had was the 2nd Marine Division. Oh, and we didn’t wear patches. The only thing that identified us was the Eagle Globe and Anchor on the left breast pocket on your utilities or on the lapels of your dress green blouse or on the collar of your blues. Geeze, all he needs is the Air Force and the Navy and he’ll have hit for the cycle!?

I also spotted the difference in spelling of the name in the yearbook (“Mailaln” compared to BT’s spelling, “Mailahn”), and the fact that the face of “Mailaln” in the yearbook is NOT shown in that pic.
He also sent me a face pic of him wearing a garrison cover and sun glasses (he has “Dumbo” ears, by the way, if that’s really him…he would need air traffic control clearance to take off if a high wind hit him).

The third pic is of a jacket with a big Marine Corps emblem on the back of it, draped over a chair in front of a table with some fast food and some other shit on it (the table). Jonn, if you want that one also, let me know.

4) BTW a USMC buddy informed me that like all the other uniformed services a SGM must have at a minimum an associates degree, but to accomplish the impossible and get picked up as young as you claim, would have to at least have a lengthy valorous combat service record and a bachelor’s degree. We do have a heart, but you are treating him as an innocent. Though, I must ask, which part did he attempt suicide over? Was it the comments he was receiving over his Stolen Valor act or was it when things got real and his Parole Office number was posted and called with the felony charges related to them?
If you encourage behavior, you cannot be held innocent if the behavior gets out of hand. You cannot claim to be an innocent if you encourage people to assault you, not that we have. In fact, he did not even have to post here, but he did.
As for God having mercy on me, He did. When I was caught in an IED blast, He saw fit to only give me a screwed up knee that needed replacement and healed me of the moderate internal injuries I received. Spoke to his parole officer on Friday as well as filed a complaint with the Mantua NJ police department about threats he made. The police department was also going to contact his parole officer. well from all that I have heard of the legal actions in New Jersey if you are a criminal and want to get away with out paying child support that is the state to live in. I don’t get it! About 15 yrs ago, here in Maricopa county, they instituted a program where EVERYONE paying child support was garnished! I hadn’t missed a payment, hell, even been late in two years and I got garnished! They went after everything. Unemployment, SSI, any type of payment you were recieving, they got your kid’s child support first.

I am also a resident of NJ albeit currently deployed. I have given 19 years of my life so far in service to my nation. I never attained the rank of Sergeant Major; before I pinned on a bar, I was only a lowly SFC
- I have been gone for all but 9 weeks of my son’s life because of my current deployment.
- Due to this deployment alone, I have missed a year of my daughters lives this is not counting previous time away from home.
-I have missed countless birthdays and anniversaries.
-My absence has added stress to my marriage and required my wife to give and do more than should ever be asked of anyone. (I am lucky to have her,and to have the opportunity to try to be worthy of her.)
-I have suffered my fair share of bumps, bruises, breaks, and contusions.
In return for what I have given, I ask nothing of my nation in return other than respect. Respect for what I and hundreds of thousands of others like me have given. I give the same respect in return even to those who disagree with what I do. Then I come across someone like you.
You clearly have made some major mistakes in your life and have shown no remorse. You have taken advantage of others and use every opportunity to blame others for your failings. You resort to name calling and empty threats. You continue to attempt to live your lies. You use your daughter in an attempt to gain sympathy. You take advantage of your role in her life to fill her mind with the same lies you tell yourself. This is unforgivable and shows that you may possess the XY chromosome, you may be male, but you are clearly not a man.
Then you put on a uniform. You claim rank and decorations and show complete disrespect for those who have earned the right to wear it and, most importantly, for those who died wearing it. You are the worst kind of charlatan. You are beneath contempt. I have met others like you before. Most were just sad Mitty’s who were desperate for some sort of meaning in their life. Some were young and stupid and could be shown the path to earning true respect. You though, seem to be beyond redemption.
You take pride in thumbing your nose at the law and anyone else who sees you for what you are. You seem to think that no matter what you can convince everyone else of the same lies you tell yourself. You think you’re smarter and quicker than those around you. Based on what I have seen, the only thing you were quicker than was a coat hanger. Since your PO and local LEOs are busy, I offer the following to you. I have relatives in Collingswood. When this deployment is over, I will be visiting them. I’ll send you a message on FB and you can come meet me and show me how you earned that rasslin’ belt. Or, I can make arrangements with the MACP guys at Dix for use of the mats for an hour or two. Or, I can find a martial arts instructor or gym near you for the same purpose. (There are several, I’m sure someone would be willing to accommodate.) If my not being a Marine isn’t good enough, I am sure there are some Marines in NJ or in the MCL willing to fill in.
I know you read this thread. I know that you, in some perverse way, enjoy the attention being given. I am offering you the opportunity to have attention lavished upon you. Bring your DD214 and some PTs. Pack a lunch too, it’s going to be a long day.

Not that I’m defending the doucher in any way. Obvious poser is obvious, but in my 24+ years, I’ve worn my marksmanship badges on my Service B/C’s on a few (VERY few) different occasions. It is legal to prescribe “with badges” with the service B/C’s etc. Also, in boot camp, way back when, I THINK I remember a service B (or maybe it was C) inspection that we had to wear our badges as well. Maybe the Company Commander’s inspection??
Just saying it’s legal, but certainly not the norm.

I may hve only done six years & got out as a SSgt but I did serve and would not dishonor any other vets by saying I did something I did not. To earn & wear a uniform for any branch of the military is an honor and those who have earned it hold it sacred. He says he has served- BULLSHIT. As a fomer Active Duty Marine, I served as an Amtrak Crewman (MOS 1833) with 3rd AABN from 1991 to 1994. It was my second MOS, having not done so well in my first MOS. My point is, that even though I left with the rank of Lance Corporal and only 2 ribbons (MUS and Sea Service Deployment) and the National Defence Service Medal, I recieved one hash mark and an HONORABLE discharge. It does not take a rocket scientist to look at Ronnie’s uniform and see all the fuck ups on it. I think maybe he has delusions of grandeur. HOwever even that would not excuse his obvious disrespectful act of douchebaggery. I, like so many before and after me, EARNED my title of United States Marine and the right that goes with that title to wear the uniform. It takes a big man to admit that his was not the most stellar of service, but I can at least honestly and truthfully say I served. What can this douchebag (I am sorry for insluting true douchebags everywhere) truthfully say?

Depends on what uniform you’re wearing. Service uniforms have green trousers, and you wear the green barracks cover or green garrison cover (also known as a piss-cutter) with them. With dress uniforms you wear blue trousers and the white barracks cover only, even whilst wearing the khaki quarter sleeve (Deltas) or khaki long sleeve with tie and clasp (Charlies).

I cannot believe how this liar keeps saying he served. I worked with this jerk off and saw it first hand how he pretended to be a Marine. His job assignment was a shuttle driver. He would stand proud in his Marine League jacket and red hat with the Sgt. Major chevron on it. The Marine League jacket also had the stripes of a Sgt. Major along with a multitude of shoulder patches showing all his duty stations. Whenever a “real” marine would say him “Semper Fi” he would respond “Who Rah” When asked about his service record he would always say that he could not talk about it because he was Spec Ops and his records were sealed. One day last summer before he got fired a couple of plainclothes cops came in and placed him in handcuffs and hauled him away. The following day he told everyone that he had talked about something that was top secret and they took him in for questioning. Later we found out he was arrested for not making restituion payments to the fire department.
Eventually he got reassigned within the company because the customers he drove were complaining about him. He was no longer a driver and became a lot boy.
I go to the NASCAR race at Pocono each year. Thanks to my daughter she is able to get me a hot pass for the weekend. This gives me unlimited access for the entire weekend. Before the liar was transfered we would talk about NASCAR. He told me his favorite team was Logano and the Home Depot #20. He knew I was going to Pocono and asked me to bring him back a Home Depot hat. Friday s the best day because there are not many people in the garages and the drivers are usually just hanging around between practice sessions. Prior to the start of practice I went to the Home Depot hauler and bought the hat. Between practice I went to the Home Depot garage and was asked Joey Logano to sign it. I returned to work and present the hat to the Liar. I explained how difficult it is to get a hot pass and because of it I was able to met Logano to have him sign his hat. He told me he would give me the money at the next pay day. Several weeks went by and I asked him and he told me he was short and he would have my $30.00 soon. In October I asked again for the money as he was walking thru the parking lot and he responded that he had put the hat on my desk and someone must have stolen it.
I became so enraged at him and told him no one would ever steal anything like that period. He kept insisting that the hat was stolen. Just like he keeps insisting that he served.
I would dog him every time I saw him and that he must have needed the money more than me.
The thing that got the Liar fired was he was suppose to install rear license plate frames on the new cars when they came in. He must have installed over a dozen frames off center and crooked which resulted in every car having to go to the body shop. The following day he was fired. So rightly so.
I was so pissed about being lied too and was trying to find away to get even. I did a google search and found the article about him embezzeling the money also found his twitter account which lead to his Facebook page. We all saw the pictures of the Liar in his dress blues with the missing button. Looking close you can see that he photoshoppped the background. I also saw the other pictures of him in his khaikis where it looks like he is sitting in front of a web cam.
One of his favorite sites besides anything FemDom is Uncle Grunt’s military surplus. Where it looks like he gets all his marine corp wanna be uniforms and badges.
I give thanks to all that have “really” served and the “Liar” should come clean and admit he had never served and apologize to those who did serve.

I was with 1/6 briefly in 1992 before going on recruiting duty and again in 1995 – 1999.
My second tour with 1/6 I served as the platoon sergeant for 81s, when we were pulling migrant ops in Cuba and then flew down to take over Bravo Co’s weapons platoon after the mass hazing incident in Panama.
Got a rifle platoon in Bravo after that and was moved to Charlie 1/6 for Urban Warrior. After being promoted to Gunny I was moved to weapons platoon.

I find it extremely disheartening that this “person”(and I will use that lightly) is from NJ. As a proud veteran who served in the Army as a MP, to see this pos parading around like he did something is horrible. If you served in any branch of the military, you are proud of your service and will not hide it. The fact that he ha now chosen to hide his so called illustrious marine career, and personally If I was able to become a Sergeant Major in nine years or twelve years in everyone would know it. I would be on Good Morning America so the world can see. But he sits back in small town NJ, and presents a lie, that unless you knew him all your life, you will accept at face value, until the discrepancies start to stick out like a clown at a funeral. I pray that I never actually run into him while I am in NJ, I may temporarily forget all decency and manner.

I’ll start with the fact that you claim to have been in the Marine Corps for 12 years and have miraculously “earned” the rank of Sgt. Major. This guy looks like he got the uniforms from a retired Sergeant Major who’s wife accidentally donated it to the Goodwill. The name tag thing, that’s for DI’s and recruiters (I wore one as a recruiter). He probably saw some at the mall and figured all Marines did it. What a tool. I checked out the link to his facebook page and apparently, he has removed all of his Marine pics. Now, he’s wearing a cowboy hat and jumping on the “Dallas” train. As a former Marine, married a Marine, parent of 2 Marines- I am offended and I hope he never does it again. If he does, maybe he will learn the error of his ways by some Marines home on leave:)

What happened? I messaged you a few weeks ago that I was coming to Collingswood and you never replied. You missed a great time. I got to hang out with family I hadn’t seen since before my deployment, bounce my godson on my knee, and enjoy a sunny day in south Jersey. It would have been made complete if you had responded to my message and met me with either a 214 or you ready to back up the tough guy image you’ve worked so hard to create. Oh well, your loss. I really hope you win this competition though, for once you’ll be able to brag about something you’ve truly earned.

I know him and his ex-wife. Dude weighs about 80 lbs and was never in the military. They wouldn’t accept him. Those are uniforms he bought at a flea market. He doesn’t pay child support yet he loves his kid, he claims to be a wonderful dad. All he cares about is himself, video games and teying to act like he is 21 and god’s gift to women. He is a LOSER!

you know what cracks me up he calls the police on everything and everybody,he threatens people and then misuses the police, if the person he is harrassing gets mad he calls the police and tells them that there is someone who is harrassing him best part is they believe him,he just did this a couple days ago,right now he thinks he is untouchable that he can do what he wants threaten people the way he wants and that the police will protect him and maybe lock up the innocent,the most recent town that he called the police is collinswood, yes i guess the police also love him wow,maybe he can steal money next from the collinswood little league,and also not have to pay it back, ron mailahn can i have your autograph

Good morning everyone. I don’t know if i am late but i do not know where to start on how a person could do this. This is fucking low i would give my damn nuts let alone my fucking ability to have children to be back in a condition where the all loving and killing, ground shaking United States Marine Corps would let me fight again. but due to my health i cannot, i would even go through boot camp again. So for you ron you shit stain you do not even fucking rate to look at let alone smell any of my covers.
