It was a half-dozen “Herd” guys in 1983 that trained me as a dumbass lieutenant. They were hard training in the rear, hard drinking in the club, and all business when we hit the woodline. They moved like ghosts at night and scared me to death.

Thank God for the Third Herd Sky Soldiers.
