PSY-Wars

| December 9, 2012 | 27 Comments

Quick now, what do you get when you cross a potty-mouthed, semi-talented, little weasel with an Asian lounge lizard? Ah, correcto, amigo, such a mixto (just trying to maintain my diversity bonafides here, brothers and sisters) yields an opportunistic entertainer from the mysterious East who is rising atop a few, fleeting moments of fame. I speak, of course of PSY, the latest bit of superfluous foam and flotsam on the dying curl of the wave of his fifteen minutes of celebrity which is about to carry him over the normal cultural breakwaters and into the Inner Lagoon of the White House where anything remotely redolent of Hawaiian good times becomes instantly well received. He could only enhance his welcome by showing up in a 1980’s vintage van emitting that unique aroma of Choom, Choom, Baby, Choom, Choom.

So what’s the beef with some second-rate Korean entertainer, sort of a Wayne Newton east, really east, being invited to the White House by our reality TV prez? What? You don’t think Gangnam Style has a place at the top levels and inner reaches of American government? Well, while you’re mulling that over, you déclassé flyover rubes, try these quoted lyrics from PSY’s musical repertoire back when he was just a tad unhappy with America’s role in the disestablishment of Al Qaeda in Southwest Asia:

“Kill those f–ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives.”
“Kill those f–ing Yankees who ordered them to torture.”
“Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers”
“Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

Ah, well, certainly, as PSY now reminds us, those lyrics have to be subject to interpretation If you think they mean what they clearly state, then you are no doubt some knuckle-dragging conservative Neanderthal with no appreciation for liberal nuance. Good grief, you probably live in Kansas or one of those other nameless states of little consequence because of your lack of minority voters. And one thing is certain; as long as you continue to maintain that irrational, conservative, bull-headed tendency to believe your lyin’ eyes:
You are absolutely nevah, evah gonna get invited to the White House, Bubba.

  1. 2-17 Air Cav says:

Last year it was “Common” and his cop-killin’ celebratory rap “poetry.” It’s art, right? Sure it is. After “All this for a flag?” is there anyone who expects more from Mr and Mrs Peoples’ Choice?

  2. 2-17 Air Cav #1: Ya beat me to it.

  3. Just an Old Dog says:

Sorry, gungyumyam or whoever the Fugg you are, those lyrics weren’t Anti-war,,, they were plain anti American.

  4. Beretverde says:

Even mentioning Wayne Newton in this diatribe is plain wrong.

  5. If I haven’t said this enough times….”somebody should tell this assclown that if it wasn’t for the Yankees” coming to the rescue in 1950, all the South Koreans would be speaking North Korean….”

  6. Ex-PH2 says:

CI, I don’t think he gives a crap.

  7. OldSoldier54 says:

    @5 CI Roller:

Only those that survived the pogroms and re-education camps …

  8. RunPatRun says:

Along the line of #1 and #2, PSY performing for Obama and the petition being removed (per the video) is really not a surprise, all things considered. smh

  9. DaveO says:

First it was Hillary with the Macarena. Now it’s SCOAMF Gangnam-style.

Yes, there is a sense of humour in the Universe.

  10. NHSparky says:

Gee, another no-talent hack says stupid and outrageous shit for a few bucks and fleeting fame?

And three guesses where this douchetool will be in a few short years.

  11. hyperon says:

Something to add quickly here, PSY has been extremely popular in Korea for almost ten years now. Many of his albums and singles were number one in Asia. This doesn’t change that these lyrics are reprehensible and anti-American, but to say that PSY’s fame is fleeting might be a little inaccurate. PSY rose to fame in the West with Gangnam Style, but he was still famous in Korea before Gangnam Style.

When you look at PSY in the lens of him being a fairly famous figure in Korea, his words take on different meaning than if he was simply “a piece of flotsam”. Perhaps they become even more reprehensible and problematic in view that PSY does have influence over the young consumers of K-pop, which is–especially with the debut of this piece–increasingly popular in America. The fact that he is a well know artist within his genre doesn’t change the appropriateness of his lyrics, but it does change the impact.

  12. PALADIN says:

God Bless you Debby, and thenk-you for the wonderful son you raised.
We shall ever remember and honor his sacrifice.

  13. PALADIN says:

I was gonna put my sound off on the previous post, but it does’nt belong where we post honor

This Psy turd should never be allowed to perform at the white House, but how much ya wanna bet Obamugabe will allow him to ?
If anything it shows where this Presidents heart is, and it sure as hell is’nt with the men and women who keep us free.

Yep he’s a cool Prez all right, invites this TURD because he’s so cool ! , with little or no discretion on what this Dog Eatin asshat has said about this country.

    PATHETIC !

  14. dnice says:

This is buckin fullshoot – a trip to the White House. Cuz if they were talkin about – fill-in any Union in these lyrics [“Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers … Kill them all slowly and painfull”] there would be 1000 cruise missiles up this guys ahhhh….But since it’s just a 1% voting bloc well then you aint sh**.

I guess i shd let it go but i cant. Too many have sacrificied too put up with this.

  15. Roger in Republic says:

It ought to be illegal for this jerk to enter the U.S.! People have been denied entry for less. He has a right say anything he likes but to advocate the murder of US citizens is a terrorist threat and he should be denied entry based on his aid and comfort to our sworn enemies. Screw the fat little girly man.

  16. TheTrueAnalyst says:

His “Dance” is a complete rip-off anyways, it’s nothing more than what we as kids did when we pretended to gallop around on horses, lol.

  17. Poetrooper says:

I am surprised to say, at the least, at the thrust of the comments here. The target of this piece wasn’t this insignificant Asian performer, but rather the Obama Administration, which has given him such undo recognition and prominence.

That the president of the United States would endorse the “Yankee killing” beliefs of this twerp by inviting him to the inner sanctums of this nation’s, our, White House, is an excellent example of the contempt this president has for most of the people he supposedly represents.

The Godfather of Gangnam isn’t jerks like PSY, it’s the jerk in the White House and his clueless, classless wife, who have so debased the honor and dignity of this country. I look at all the failed nations in Africa and all the failed cities in this country like Washington, D.C., Detroit, Newark, etc. and say, there’s a message there, America, and you’d better wake up and read it before this entire country looks like Detroit.

  18. Jon The Mechanic says:

There is a meme going around Facebook about how Psy stole his “dance” from Monty Python.

  19. Doc Bailey says:

Well if he doesn’t like the US that much he can enjoy our new Meme: JDAM Style

  20. Hondo says:

Poetrooper: I think virtually everyone who comments here regularly regards the current administration as either (1) absolutely clueless, (2) a group of unwitting “fellow travelers”, (3) a bunch of active Marxists, or (4) some combination of the above. Such behavior from this Administration therefore isn’t surprising and doesn’t generate much comment.

  21. streetsweeper says:

Hondo, switch the numbered items around. #3 needs to be first, then edit #2 leaving out “unwitting” because the socialist Chi-town fucks do know what they are doing. They know exactly what they’re doing. Then you could place “absolutely clueless” at #3. And again, they know what they are doing. Make no mistake about it.

  22. NHSparky says:

I think Hondo pretty much hit it. Anti-American asshats going to the WH?

    Yawn. Show me something new.

  23. Tman says:

Ex-PH2 is right, ultimately PSY doesn’t give a darn about this whole thing.

Even his non “apology” shows how little he cares.

And ultimately he knows that this will quickly blow over because we live in an amnesia society and that since it happened a while ago he can just gloss over it.

  24. Medic09 says:

Did I hear right? Turner is the one putting on the show? So, it’s all consistent. No surprise or deviation here. Mr. Obama’s friends are people like Ayres and Dorn. His role models and heroes are people like Jeremiah ‘god damn america’ Wright and Hanoi Jane. So now this bit of excrement. What’s everybody so worked up about? This is who and what the people voted for. No self respect…

  25. melle1228 says:

Apparently he has already performed the Whitehouse Sunday. And Obama greeted him like an old friend:

    http://www.jammiewf.com/2012/aw-obama-warmly-greets-america-hating-rapper/

  26. Ex-PH2 says:

Anyone besides me notice that two words start with the same two letters?

    Oblivious

    Obama

Put them together and: Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious= Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious

    You don’t see it?

OK. Look at this: if there is no hint that the “fiscal cliff” problem is not solved by January 1, 2013, then a stock market sell-off will commence between 12/25 and 12/28 and another nosedive will ensue. Result: another crash of epic proportions. Yes, it will.
That gives the Big Cheesy Birdbrain a very short timeframe to solve the problem, which may be underway now:

    http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/12/10/15814664-obama-boehner-meet-to-discuss-fiscal-cliff?lite

Mind you, I’m not counting on anything, but I’m stocking the pantry and freezer for the next three months, just in case.

Still, just meditate on this for five minutes:

    Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious= Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious= Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious= Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious

Remember, you a known by the company you keep. Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious= Obama = Oblivious = Obama = Oblivious

    Thank you.

Every “artist” has the right to express their views certainly. It’s the response of our leadership to patently offensive and irresponsible “artistry” that is most telling. We have a president who associates with people who despise America in their words and deeds, whether these people are artists or pastors, or POS tenured j4goffs at universities…heaven forbid our cool president risk offending anyone who is not an American. I wish he had as much concern about offending Americans as he does those who care little for our nation and its citizens.

The lazy, non-productive, pablum fed tax parasites will soon find out, metaphorically speaking, what happens to cattle after they have been fed and cared for…it’s not a pretty outcome. The slaughter I am referring to is what happens when a nation no longer controls its destiny because debt has overwhelmed the citizen. The wailing and gnashing of teeth when benefits stop instead of being reduced due to lack of funding for everything.

Nicely done Mr. President consorting with those who like our money but hate us were it done by a Republican would be nothing but outcry reporting for weeks….the talking heads of our MSM however will tell us great it is and how lucky we are to have you, a man of little substance and zero honor as our President. This next 4 years can’t pass quickly enough.
