Morally Vicious, Intellectually Vacuous Left, Always With Us

| February 4, 2013 | 101 Comments

It is a sad day in the warrior community when one of our own is slain by another of our own. In the extant situation, the shooting of a genuine hero, former SEAL, Chris Kyle, it seems fairly evident that his killer, a former Marine, is suffering from PTSD. While his mental state will never provide total absolution from his guilt, for those of us here who have seen ground combat, suffered its lingering effects and overcome them over time, our condemnation has to be mostly of the crime and not the man. That said, I fully understand the anger shown in yesterday’s comments here at TAH.

What are harder to fathom or forgive are the rabidly vicious comments bubbling up from the sulphurous depths of leftist fury. To their everlasting shame, some in the liberal media always will resort to this sort of cruel gloating at the death of a man who served his country well. However when reading the truly hateful comments on the social networks, it is helpful to bear in mind who the most likely perpetrators of such venom actually are. Picture some pimply-faced, insecure, unemployed nerd with a degree in humanities, cloistered in his old bedroom at his parent’s home, angrily banging away at the keyboard, venting his self-caused frustration at those who have accomplished so much more with their lives than he can ever hope to. Picture that and you will probably have a fairly close image of your culprit.

Thanks to Obamanomics, our country has far too many of these contemporary cave-dwellers still dependent on their parents; and, unrecognized by them, it is the failure of their Great Leader’s socialist policies to lead them out of their darkened bedrooms into a world of prosperity that has them so frustrated and resentful. What the younger of you reading this don’t realize is how fortunate we are that so many of these trolls are hidden away from sight. When I returned from Vietnam in December 1966, the streets and campuses were full of these effete mama’s boys and their equally deluded female counterparts, all screaming vicious anti-military and anti-American slogans provided by Soviet propagandists who couldn’t believe their incredible luck in having so many gullible chumps available to do their dirty work.

Tens of thousands of those useful idiots, even then as now, unsuited for real work and achievement, eventually migrated into that field best suited for such people, education, and created a huge socialist incubator warmed and fed with our tax dollars, that today continues to perpetuate this parade of know-nothing, liberal twits who mistakenly fancy themselves intellectually and morally superior to the rest of us. It is on such occasions as the death of Chris Kyle that we get an opportunity to see that moral and intellectual superiority for just what it truly is, juvenile emotionalism grounded in insulated ignorance and made manifest in a venomous and frenzied hatred of anyone who disagrees with them.

We had a “Joe” back in my day with a far larger audience than the fool who trolls here. That was John F. Kerry and the vicious slanders and libels he directed at Vietnam veterans makes our Joe look like the minor league putz he his. We Vietnam vets have had to stifle our anger for decades as the liberal Democrats deified this traitor and even tried to make him our commander-in-chief. Now we have to suppress the urge to scream out our frustrations as this fool of a president spits in our eyes by elevating Kerry even further, making him representative to the world for the nation he betrayed. But then, that’s Democrats for you.

While you lefties vilify our dead hero, I will honor one of yours by congratulating the “Lion of the Senate” Ted Kennedy, for now having gone three years, five months and eight days without a drink. What a lady-killer that Teddy, a true liberal icon and hero, right up there in the Democrat pantheon with phony war hero, John Kerry, serial sexual predator, Bill Clinton and Marxist, Muslim skeetster, Barack Obama. It is so predictably perverted how all you morally and intellectually superior liberal elites pick your heroes that it is almost laughable; almost, not quite. Actually it’s rather sad, so you can keep ‘em.

We have a tradition of honoring authentic heroes: RIP Chris Kyle.

But as to the picture, my bet is the Sahara.

  2. NHSparky says:

    it’s not about attention

    (throws bullshit flag)

  3. PintoNag says:

Joe, I want to say one thing here, and then I’m going to stop, because I’m not sure I can have a coherent discussion about any of this today. What I will say here is this: You have no idea of the depths of pain, dismay, and rage you’re poking at with your verbal stick. What happened to Chris Kyle involves a combination of treachery and madness that no amount of debate or discussion can address. It would perhaps be best to let it go for awhile, and let things settle.

  4. NHSparky says:

Pinto–sadly, he won’t. He can’t. He has a bloody shirt to wave, and by God, wave it he will, sensibilities or decorum be damned.

  5. Joe says:

    You’re projecting again Sparky.

  6. Joe says:

I have tried to be respectful to Kyle himself, but not to the situation that got us to this point. I noted that many are genuinely grieving. But where is the grief for the, what, 1500 people killed by guns since Sandy Hook? Tiptoeing around this particular incident, and the broader problem, is not doing anyone’s memory any favors. Again, how can so many be so knoted up about one death, and be impervous to 1500? How?

  7. SteveS says:

    Poetrooper:
Well said. Here’s hoping these peace loving, tolerant Liberals infesting the Comments section take off for HuffPo or The Daily Kos where they’re welcome to post their bile.
Joe… really. In a tribute thread you decide to post your agenda? Geebus. One would think you’d at least have the decency to leave once it was made known that your presence was not wanted. But I guess that just isn’t part of what you’re about now, is it?
There will come a day. Payback will be a motherfucker.
    Carry on.

  8. Hondo says:

No, Joe – NHSparky’s being completely accurate. You did it after Sandy Hook, too, when you used the bodies of innocents murdered by a lunatic as political props.

And that’s actually not the worst. The truly despicable part of your conduct is the hypocrisy. That lunatic was only free to kill those children because liberals like you passed laws shielding him from involuntary commitment. You were waving a bloody shirt stained by blood that came from your liberal brethren’s hands – and using that to try and blame law-abiding citizens for the problem your ilk created.

    How Stalin-esque.

  9. SteveS says:

    Joe,
What part of “tribute thread to a fallen comrade and one helluva warrior” do you not get? What part of “RIP Chris Kyle and God Speed” do you not get? This thread isn’t about the others who have died since Sandy Hook, it’s about Chris Kyle and ONLY Chris Kyle. For fuck’s sake, man, find some ability to comprehend the written word!
You remind me of “Islamic Rage Boy.” Always inserting himself into some situation, screaming. For what, only he knows.
Your presence here is not wanted. Your opinion here is not wanted. Your boilerplate rhetoric is not wanted. You… are not wanted.
    Please go away.

  10. MCPO NYC USN (Ret.) says:

Joe … I can say with 100 % confidence and certainty that our dearly departed Chief Petty Officer (SEAL) Chris Kyle, USN (Ret.) did save more than 1500 lives. So your last commentary does not hold any water with me. Further, the business he created in his post Navy career most certainly would have resulted in savings perhaps tens of thousands.

  11. Joe says:

Well here’s the way it usually goes: Wait to cool down before we talk about someting so controversial. A few weeks later: OK, things have calmed down, no problem here, business as usual. So what’s the problem again?

  12. Anonymous says:

It’s difficult to read this site as a center-left independent voter because in one post there’ll be a good point made about how veterans are unfairly lumped into a ‘dangerous PTS(D)-types’ category based on a few people, and everyone agrees, and then see the same thing done to ‘the left’ – a group which, if you go by political indicators, is slightly over half the country – and everyone agrees that, yeah, those damn lefties sure are screwing things up.

Big groups with lots of people in them have their idiots, and seizing upon those fools instead of the masses is disruptive to getting a real picture of the situation. MOST vets aren’t ticking time-bombs because of PTS, and MOST liberals / lefties are saddened by the passing of Chris Kyle.

How do I know that? The same way you know most vets aren’t about to go shoot people. Because you know lots, and they’re good, decent people who don’t do that sort of thing. Same here.

  13. MCPO NYC USN (Ret.) says:

Joe … you are a Type 1, MOD 0, Class “A” Jackass of the Highest Order. The point is: Things won’t “cool down for CPO Kyle’s lovely wife and children. You don’t get it, do you?

  14. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

@56 But nothing being proposed by anyone addresses those 40 a day you are talking about. Because no anti-gun law will fix 90% of those 40 a day Joe.

You know the statistics, in NYC last year about 90% of victims and perpetrators were black or hispanic. The difficult issues regarding lack of education, lack of opportunity, and limited economic horizon that makes murderous crime a viable option won’t be addressed through a meaningless assault weapon ban. Since there is nothing on the table regarding that issue why would you be surprised at a lack of debate on no issue? If the issue meant anything at all to the dems why didn’t Obama and the dems take it up in the first 4 years of his presidency? Where were you and the other hand wringers when there were more than 40 a day while Clinton was president? Some of us have been working to provide educational opportunities for minorities for 20 plus years, some of us have been providing opportunity to use athletics as a means to get minority youth off the streets and into programs where they can learn there is more to life than a gang and a life in and out of prison. But not the dems, they’ve been working on meaningless assault weapon bans and handouts. There is nothing more cruel to dashing hope and opportunity than making someone beholden to the scraps you are willing to dole out without offering a way out of despair.

Stop using weak rhetorical arguments and get your democratic reps to introduce some legislation designed to correct education and demand some accountability to coincide with free handouts that create generational, institutionalized poverty. I will continue to do the same for both parties and the reps in my area. Offer something besides a weak 4ss ban that fixes none of 90% of the daily murders. Perhaps then your arguments will bear some real merit.

  15. A_Proud_Infidel says:

NO Boy Joe, real life Vets like me and the others that frequent here DO NOT take it lightly when you desecrate the legacy of a Warrior like Chris Kyle. What you said was unforgivable to me and many others, and like I said in that thread, when your time comes, they just need to throw your remains into a septic tank, because that’s where SHIT like you belongs, COWARD!

  16. Joe says:

OK, even I’m getting tired of this. Buh by.

  17. Ex-PH2 says:

Wasn’t it Joey-boy who told us that he was in his 7th decade? And didn’t he say that he had a high draft number?

The draft lottery started in December 1969, which was 43 years ago, which means that if Joey-boy was actually in his 7th decade (his words), he’d have been in his mid-30s by then, and actually was likely to have been called up much sooner, long before the draft lottery ever started.

So he lies like a cheap rug, among his other talents. He only barges in to get attention, and lies about that, too. He contributes nothing to this discussion, other than the same ability a mosquito has to annoy people. And he sticks around because as long as he can keep pickin’ and pickin’ and pickin’, he knows he’ll get attention. He can’t even make a good argument about weapons in general.

Chicago has some of the tightest gun control laws in the country. It also has regular buy-back events. None of this stops the driveby shootings, the gang crossfires in which small children are shot on their own front lawns, the murdering bastards who belong to gangs and get the initiation into the gang by shooting someone like Hadiyah Pendleton simply because she can be picked out in a crowd.

Laws do not stop criminals from committing crimes. Gun control laws will not prevent criminals from getting their hands on guns.

This simple concept is plain to everyone here except Joey the Balloon Bubbleboy.

I repeat what I said previously: don’t ever serve on a jury. Someone with your poor judgment should only sit in the audience.

  18. OWB says:

The very fact that Joe would make any commentary here on this topic shows the inferior position of everything he/she/it holds dear. Lucidity is beyond him and his ilk, so they simply cause as much damage and pain to as many as possible, in every way they can fathom, then excuse their insensitivity with any of a long list of silliness – but you can bet that whatever they come up with, it is not their fault.

Joe – once again proving the theory that liberalism is a mental disease. They are never content to just live their lives. They must destroy any who will not convert to their lunacy.

Hurray for you, Joe. You have been a good little useful idiot today. Well done!

  19. Hondo says:

Actually, Ex-PH2, I think your math is slightly off there.

One’s 1st decade of life is from birth to the day before one’s 10th birthday – or ages 0-9. One’s second decade, is 10-19; one’s third decade is one’s 20s (20-29); and so on.

One’s 7th decade is thus one’s 60s – ages 60-69. If Joey the Draft Dodging Rockclimber were born in, say, 1950, he’d today be either 62 or 63, depending on his precise date of birth. That would have made him either 18 or 19 when the draft lottery started in Dec 1969 (probably 19).

Otherwise, your analysis above is IMO spot-on. And yes – IMO Joe lies like a rug at times. But I don’t think he’s lying about being in his 7th decade.

  20. Joe says:

    Sheesh detective PH-2,

Don’t know why I need to give my bona fides to you, but oh well, here goes. I was 19 when the first lottery numbers were actually drawn in very early 1970 if memory serves (or maybe it was late ’69). I remember itwell – all the male freshmen were glued to the TV that evening, since the college deferment had just been abolished. The DOD said they were gonna draft up to about number 150, and as it turned out, my number was….150. So I spent the next year in suspense. They never did get that high. Even today, I do not know what I would have done had I been called up. I had a number of options, several of which you guys would not have approved of. My suspiscions at the time, despite having been raised on a steady diet of WWII movies, and despite being politically naive to say the least, was that Ho Chi Minh was no Adolph Hitler, and that despite the assertions, the war in Viet Nam did not warrant the same urgency as WWII. To me, the Domino Theory was just that, a theory. Of course revelations since then by McNamara and others demonstrate it was a much bigger cluster than anyone knew at the time, something I am proud to have fought against. So you see sweetheart, I’m am well into my 7th decade (i.e., my 60’s since you don’t seem to be too good at math).

You should leave the detective work to Jonn.

  21. Redacted1775 says:

“The DOD said they were gonna draft up to about number 150, and as it turned out, my number was….150. So I spent the next year in suspense.” –Sounds stressful…

  22. Joe says:

    If you say so…..

  23. Ex-PH2 says:

@70 – And I don’t care what your philosophy was, then or now. You are lazy, self-involved, overly smug, and exhibit no interest in anyone but yourself.

“It’s only the most outrageous posts that get my attention.” Your words, and yet YOU, you Planaria barroisi, made the first post on the column regarding Chris Kyle, who was murdered by someone he trusted.

YOU did that. You jumped right in and started with an outrageous post of your own, so how can you possibly expect me or any other reasoning human being to believe anything other than YOU did it to get attention.

Like a jackal, you fastened on the corpse before it had even cooled. Was that for thrift? The funeral meats not yet cold? Was it to let us all know just how reprehensible you can be, by going in first just to stick your vile oar into the water?

Well, we already know — you’ve done a bang-up job of letting us know. Complete to a shade.

You are so stupid you don’t even know you’re alive.

  24. Joe says:

Whooohoo! At least I’m not a liar anymore PH.

  25. DaveO says:

If you ever want to know what a Progressive truly thinks of non-caucasians, Christians, Jews, women, GLBT+, military veterans (and active service members), and blue collar workers – just post a story about a Conservative person who is any of those things.

There is no hatred like the hatred of a Leftist toward a non-white who’s slipped the bond of slavery.

  26. Gamblor says:

73- Shut up you vapid cunt.

  27. Redacted1775 says:

I apologize Joe, this is just for you, re post #71: /SARC.

  28. Ex-PH2 says:

@74, where did you get the mistaken idea that you aren’t a liar any more?

    @76, it’s a pity you can’t see which finger I’m holding up.

  29. UpNorth says:

“Whooohoo! At least I’m not a liar anymore PH”. Says Joey, the Rock-climbing here. Thanks for admitting what we all knew, Joey boy. You were a liar, and you’re still a liar.

  30. A_Proud_Infidel says:

@76, Joe-Boy = “Gamblor”, that was a fine example of sock puppeting, you lose again.

  31. UpNorth says:

And, Joey, the Rock-climbing hero posted this idiocy in #43, “knowing that, perhaps the criminals will start to shoot first and ask questions later”. Hey fuckwad, they shoot first now. Good grief, you’re so stupid they have to keep you inside during rainstorms, you’d drown if they left you outside.

  32. Joe says:

@78 – well, you called me lazy, self-involved, smug, a jackal, and stupid, all in one post no less, but no mention of lying. I thought I was off the hook. By the way, your free floating hostility makes you a terrific addition to this site.

By the way, when something truly awful happens, what is the requisite period of respect to observe before making observations on said awful event? Seriously. As a practical matter, I want to make sure I get my timing right after the next mass killing or high profile murder. When am I allowed to talk about it?

  33. Joe says:

@ 80 – Huh? Excuse my naivete, I don’t even know what sock puppeting is.

  34. A_Proud_Infidel says:

You posted from the same computer under a different screen name, you used “Gamblor” instead of “Joe”, that’s known as ” sock puppeting”.
    You lose.

  35. Joe says:

@ 84 – I don’t know what your snooping software is telling you, but #76 ain’t me. Not that I don’t agree with him, I just don’t tend to phrase things that way.

  36. Ex-PH2 says:

Aw, people, guess what!!! Joey doesn’t like being told what for. Pity poo. So willing to say nasty things about other people, but doesn’t like having it handed back to him. No respect for anyone, but expects to get it from everyone. Doesn’t work that way.

Doesn’t know what sock puppeting is? As much as he’s been posting here? Like anyone really believes that.

Absolutely no hostility toward you. You are not worth the effort.

    I just don’t like you.

  37. Joe says:

Now that you explain it to me, I can understand the concept of sock puppeting, but not sure why someone would do it.

  38. OWB says:

Well, Joe, there really is no time limit on treating people with respect.

  39. Joe says:

So seriously OWB, if one were to to discuss Chris Kyle in relation to the topic of gun control, a topic he spoke publicly about when he was alive, how long should one wait? I am serious. How long.

  40. Twist says:

@82, You should probably wait until at least the body is cold.

  41. OWB says:

We already know that you are too delusional to grasp simple concepts, but this is as plain as I can make it:

“Well, Joe, there really is no time limit on treating people with respect.”

  42. Joe says:

So I’ll be more specific OWB – if one wanted to RESPECTFULLY discuss Chris Kyle in relation to gun control, a topic he spoke on publicly after all, in minutes/hours/days/weeks/months, what is the appropriate waiting time.

  43. melle1228 says:

    >So seriously OWB, if one were to to discuss Chris Kyle in relation to the topic of gun control, a topic he spoke publicly about when he was alive, how long should one wait? I am serious. How long.

How about you don’t discuss a death in relation to a political agenda at all. Novel concept I know, but when people are grieving; there is no “bigger picture” Joe. And anyone with a half of a brain and a quarter of a heart would know that. Just a hint- you possess neither.

  44. Joe says:

There is always a bigger picture melle. Politics and human events are about people. Don’t tell me what I can’t discuss. Feel free to tell me what you are afraid to discuss.

  45. melle1228 says:

    >There is always a bigger picture melle. Politics and human events are about people

Then take it to a Democratic political fundraiser. A military blog that is grieving for a fallen comrade is not the place.

    >>Don’t tell me what I can’t discuss. Feel free to tell me what you are afraid to discuss.>>

I didn’t tell you anything ignoramous. I gave you some friendly advice; something that most decent people learn growing up.

  46. PALADIN says:

@ Joe the Bizarro…Joe you are one strange dude..you’ve come here and ran your mouth and all you’ve done is make people hate you more.
Your a typical Liberal , you talk about things you have NOT A CLUE ABOUT, and expect the world to follow your lead.

Well Joey here’s some news for ya ….we don’t give a shit what you think, your an irrelevant piece of dogshit…sooner or later you ‘ll dry up and blow away
This is a MILITARY BLOG ASSHOLE, you and your kind are’nt valued here, especially you being a Liberal/Socialist turd.
When you’ve “toted the ruck’ and actually have a clue about what your talking about, then maybe, just maybe , people will lsiten to ya, and respect your opinion.
Till then be a good little turd and keep your mouth shut.

Educate yourself…your doing nothing here but making an assdouche of yourself.

  47. WOTN says:

While I will not defend the idiotic s*** Joe says, I will defend his right to say it, and note that the Ron White quote does apply. I will condemn his disrespect of the dead, just as I do that of the Westboro Lawyer Gang’s, for it is the same nature in which both do what they do.

Joe says the offensive things he does here, because this is where he gets attention, unlike in the mass of sites like-minded to “his” point of view.

His ilk have either fallen for, or actively practice the art of Goebbels, i.e. that if a lie is told often enough, it will be believed, no matter how outlandish. His ability to “doublethink” has reached professional level capacity that “Big Brother” himself would find admirable.

Just as, in Orwell’s novel, a party man could say and believe the opposite at the end of a speech, than he did at the beginning of a speech, Joe’s ilk will parrot the party, even when it contradicts the earlier dictates.

What is dangerous is not that there are those with the (lack of) morals of (Uncle) joe, but that their tactics are effective at silencing many dissenters, thereby allowing their less offensive allies convince so many that pay less attention.

The Post-American Century is arriving upon us, not because Americanism has failed, but because the citizenry has given up the rights of citizenship, i.e. as sovereigns to the government, for the lure of the free stuff and “protections” a sovereign of govt doles out to its subjects. And as the American values of God-Given Rights subsides, so too does the economic results of prosperity wain.

  48. Joe says:

I thought long and hard about it last evening. To me Chris Kyle was a very public figure, someone who sought publicity. To some of you he was a friend. I sincerely apologize for jumping the gun. I still think his situation merits discussion, but I do apologize for jumping on the “story” without really thinking about your feeling for him. I do apologize.
