Ron Paul is not clever

| February 4, 2013 | 30 Comments

Funny how the most irreligious people take to quoting the Bible when it suits them, isn’t it? Ron Paul conquered Twitter today to send out the most often repeated Leftist smear I’ve seen against guns and Chris Kyle over the last few days;

Ron Paul tweet Kyle

Yeah, that’s the guy I was supposed to vote for in the last election because he was the only veteran in the race. See, that the danger of thinking that an OB/GYN in the Air Force is actually a veteran worthy of my vote just because he wore a uniform.

First of all, people who suffer from PTS (no D, please) don’t normally become violent. that’s the Rambo myth – y’all are confusing it with Hollywood’s diagnosis. you’d think a real doctor who had been in the military would know that, wouldn’t you? Secondly, blaming Chris Kyle for his own death is the height of ignorance. Obviously he’d done this before without it ending like this. Range time is what keeps me sane, and I’m sure a poll of this group here at TAH would get some light applause for the idea.

As I’ve said in the past, Ron Paul makes a lot of sense sometimes, but then there’s the times that dementia kicks in and we get things like this. I guess we have to blame anyone but the guy who pulled the trigger, and Paul is no more than another anti-gun, anti-veteran moron clinging to his empty platitudes. I think the best response comes from Iowahawk; “Grandpa’s talking to the furniture again”

By the way, for the sharpshooters, the quote is from Revelation, 13:10: “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”

Or Matthew 26:52 “Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword”.

But me, I like Luke 22:36 “He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.””

    “True conservative” my dying ass.

And hate to say it, but Herr Doktor Nutz makes a lot less sense once one digs into his “ideas”. Yes, that includes his domestic policies as well.

    Good riddance.

  2. Cobalt-Blue says:

    Iowahawk is something special.

  3. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

I didn’t need to see this twit(ter) to know Ron Paul is a serious 4sshole. It is interesting to note that he consistently reaffirms the reasons why I find him a distasteful egocentric POS.

He has been one for decades, he was just able to bamboozle a bunch of young people who weren’t old enough to be cognizant of world events while Mr. Paul was proving what kind of human he was. Regarding Mr. Paul making some sense from time to time, a broken clock is right twice a day, and even a blind squirrel can find a nut on occasion. Mr. Paul falls nicely into either category in my thoughts. A few good ideas wrapped in a batsh1t crazy wrapper are not enough to change my opinion.

F#ck Ron Paul, now and forever.

  4. Twist says:

You have to wade through a metric shit-ton of crazy to get to the parts where Mr. Paul makes sense.

  5. MAJMike says:

As I recall, Christ instructed His followers to buy swords if they didn’t own them already.

  6. Susan says:

If living by the sword means dying by it, well, I can accept that so long as it means I went down fighting rather than being slaughtered like a defenseless lamb.

“Dr. Paul” is an idiot who, like Jimmy Carter, should just shut his senile mouth.

  7. MAJMike says:

Whoops, missed the last Bible quote as I speed read the posting. Sorry to be redundant.

  8. A_Proud_Infidel says:

The democrats had Lyndon LaRouche, we have Ron Paul. They and their flocks are nuttier than a dump truck load of squirrel shit!!

  9. FatCircles0311 says:

    Wow, what a scumfuck.

  10. David says:

And those that beat their swords into plowshares shall plow for those who kept their swords. (As long as we’re all abusing Scripture)

  11. Reaperman says:

Okay. I’ll fess up to it. I voted for Ron Paul for president once. The ‘Louisiana Taxpayers Party’ got him on the ballot back in 2008, and I threw my vote away on him because the party I usually throw my vote away on went missing for some reason.

He was one of the very few that stood against the ban on my cigarettes a little after that. I’ll still give him that.

  12. Anonymous says:

That confirms it Ron Paul is a FAG.

  13. NR Pax says:

Oh lovely. More bloviating from RON PAUL: COMBAT GYNECOLOGIST!

Wasn’t fond of the man back when he was trendy. Like him a lot less now.

  14. PFDRbrendan says:

Forget Ron Paul. That douche tried to compare our fight in Afghanistan to Texas being invaded by the Chinese.

Why do we as a country tolerate this kind of disrespect to our heroes such as Mr. Kyle and his family? I think the systematic lack of respect surging throughout our society is only reinforced by idiots like Ron Paul making such rude and disrespectful comments.

  15. AndyFMF says:

I have always been partial to Romans 13:3-4…especially 4.
For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil….But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.

This a reference to the Roman soldier and since joining the military, our mission has been to bring wrath on the one who practices evil. I found the connection to be well made.

  16. Tom says:

I posted earlier now I’ve had time to think about it and I’m pissed off. Who dose this wrinkly bag of shit think he is? Making a cold fucked up statement like that. What a sorry asshole.

  17. RaptorFire22 says:

Speak like a fucking moron, look like a fucking moron.

  18. Smaj says:

The man is either insane or in full-on dementia.

  19. Eagle Keeper says:

I’ve got a hunch this wasn’t from Ron Paul.

That’s all it is, a hunch. It doesn’t sound like him, for some reason that I can’t put my finger on. (And yes, I’m a “Paultard.”)

Until he either personally admits to, or disavows, the tweet, I’m not convinced.

  20. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

@19 Right, maybe it was written by the same folks who wrote the Ron Paul Survival Report.

  21. DaveO says:

Why does everyone claim to be Christian when they want to grab the moral high ground? Or, make claim to Christian morality?

On that note, Ron Paul has had one good idea: audit the Fed. Might as well audit Treasury while you’re at it.

    That’s it. The one idea.

  22. NR Pax says:

@19: Over at Twitchy, they have a link to Buzzfeed indicating that Ron Paul is in charge of the Twitter feeds. So far, it’s sounding like those words were his. And I hope the decrepit bastard chokes on them.

  23. PintoNag says:

I hate to nit-pick, but have to in this case. Don’t let the word “Disorder” (as in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) throw you. It’s the same type of medical term as “Disease.” As in DIS – EASE. We have two types of responses to any event, ordered and dis-ordered. Ordered responses allow us to continue to function normally. Dis-ordered responses cause us to react in ways that dis-order our lives. We don’t function normally. If and when that happens, it signals the need for treatment. That’s all. It doesn’t mean there’s a permanent mental, emotional, moral or spiritual kink somewhere. It’s not the mental equivalent of mange.

  24. Athena says:

@23 I just posted a link of the affadavit involving Routh. In it, he allegedly told his sister and BIL that “He sold his soul for a truck”..(sic) I take it at face value that Routh murdered two men in cold blood for Kyle’s vehicle, not because he was disordered so much as he was just a low-life skank.

  25. melle1228 says:

Rand Paul has started to impress me, but and this is a big but- the fact that he is the son of this douchebag makes me have serious reservations that his nutty side won’t come out at some later date.

  26. Dave Thul says:

#19 You can give the man the benefit of the doubt all you want, but at the end of the day it is his twitter feed with that insulting crap next to it. If it wasn’t Paul that wrote it, and that is a tremendously big if, then it is his responsibility to deny it.

The good news is that as a FORMER congressman and FORMER presidential candidate, I don’t feel the need to get worked up over a guy who just wants attention.

  27. jordan says:

I don’t get it. The past two elections, Ron Paul supposedly got the highest level of military donations.

  28. Murdoc says:

I pulled up that scumbag on MOL today, he’s a 2111. An armorer? PTSD from doing weapon sight counts and replacing to many sear pins? I hope he gets his “sword” from a gun he built, on the end of a midget firing line, cut down at the knee caps, then bled out.

  29. Wrench Monkey says:

    To: Ron Paul
From: Family, friends and brothers-in-arms of Chris Kyle.

Sir, your unsolicited thoughts and opinions have been read and duly noted.
    Fuck you very much.

  30. Ex-PH2 says:

@27, Ron Paul claimed that things published under his name and approved by him several years ago (don’t remember the exact date, but a while back) were done without his knowledge.

He can claim whatever he wants to now about those tweets, but they have his name on them which makes him responsible for them, regardless.
