Can I use your line about no patches tabs etc? I was same as I worked with such guys and around a few operators in my day. My problem with the posers is I actually had a so secret job and the first refuge of the posers is secret squirrel story…. while I cannot talk aout my job I can say where I was trained etc and name guys I worked with…Posers cannot!
I often feel that I am a poser when at Walter Reed as when I am with guys who were on tip of spear having served myself way down the handle I am forced to realise how easy I had it as an Intel Dweeb.
I feel guilty about hot meals A/C bunk with sheets and pillows…hell we even had a swimming pool!

What was this scumfuck’s relation to the radio station?
Anyone know the story behind Brian Brawdy? I caught some of Doomsday Preppers last night and up came his military affiliation as “Military Weapons Specialist”. He might be legit, but is he claiming SF 18B? that’s the only weapon specialist I’ve heard about in the military. Just curious because that’s all I can find concerning his military claims.

This is my first time posting so be gentle. First I want to say kudos to you SF, Ranger, and Seal types. You guys are nuts, in a nice way
. I have been Comm for 30 years, love it but its not what is used to be.
Anyway, I want to know why these fakers never mention the ribbons the military never issues and we don’t wear but have to many of in our minds. The ribbons we get for leaving our children, missing special days with our families that we can never get back because we believe in what we do.
I do not mean to demean any military award, the heroes that have them are incredible as are the awards.
I have enjoyed this blog for a year, reading these posts reminds me of the military I joined, old, dirty, and a little deranged but fun as hell.

@37 Before the radio station pulled all this guy’s stuff, he had videos of practical jokes. That’s where my “guess” came from. Not a defense. Alas, I am big enough to admit that it looks as if I was wrong in my guessing. In the end I’m glad he got what he got.

He must have put all his “Military” stuff in his resume on on his employment application. Every place I worked lying on the app or CV was grounds for termination. I worked with one guy who was a couple of credits short of his BSME degree and claimed he had it. Three days after we reported he was gone. We never saw him again. They check, people.

@80 Its been my expeirence that civilians have NO clue about the military, its units, mos’s, nothing but what they see on TV or in a book. There is no evidence available showing the station knew of this turds indiscretions; they’ve corrected the situation and have apologized to the public about this guy. They may or may not be a great radio station but they are FAR better than some dirty Talib, you should be embarassed for making that comparison. Now, put your pants back on; your ass is showing.

I knew him many years ago and was a friend of mine. For the few years I knew him he was a good person. This is sad. His radio career is over and that was very important to him. He is married and his wife will never leave Springfield. I hope he has not fallen to far. Springfield is a small town and his reputation is now toast. People have a right to be angry with him. People also have a right to make mistakes, find redemption and be forgiven. I hope he sees that path.
