Troy Gilmore, Jr. threatens Ted Cruz & Tea Party

@ArmyVet54

Barbara sent us a tip the other day about Troy Gilmore, Junior who threatened Senator Ted Cruz and the Tea Party in general according to The Hill;

A person identifying himself as Troy Gilmore Jr., posted on Twitter Friday morning: “Take down Ted Cruz, at his home” and listed Cruz’s home address in Houston.

“What goes around comes around CRUZ!!” the person wrote.

The author of the threat uses the Twitter handle @ArmyVet54 and identifies himself as having served in the U.S. Army and Navy.

Here are his actual Facebook posts that he helpfully put on his Twitter page;

@ArmyVet54FB

@ArmyVet54FB1

CBS News calls him a Vietnam Era Veteran. But, according to his own LinkedIn Profile, that’s barely so – Saigon fell on April 30th, 1975 and by his own account, Gilmore enlisted in May 1975;

@ArmyVet54LinkedIn

The US government considers the Vietnam Era as February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975. So depending on the day that Gilmore actually enlisted, he may, just barely be a Vietnam Era veteran for a few days. In the above profile, in his own words, Gilmore says that he served in the Army and the Navy, but you’ll notice in the picture above that I snagged from his Facebook account, he’s wearing BDUs with a Marine Corp tape over his pocket.

His Army career lasted two years and six months, but he also served in the Navy for four years, by his own account, but there was four years between them, so I have to wonder what cut his Army career short. Regardless, I’m not worried about his threats to beat us with his copy of the FM 10-22 (Army Baking Operations) & FM 10-23 (Army Troop Feeding Operations). He doesn’t represent veterans, he’s just a loud mouth punk hiding behind his uniform.

  1. Hondo says:

    Minor clarification, Jonn. The Vietnam-Era period starts in 1961 only if the individual actually served at least one day on active duty in Vietnam between 28 Feb 1961 and 7 May 1975. If an individual never served in Vietnam, the applicable Vietnam-Era period is 5 August 1964 through 7 May 1975.

    Vietnam-Era vet status also requires serving for at least one day on active duty during the period. If this guy enlisted under the DEP prior to 7 May 1975 but didn’t enter on active duty until 8 May 1975 or after, per the CFR he’s not a Vietnam-Era vet.

  2. A Proud Infidel says:

    He’s threatening a Conservative politician, so I assume the left will soon announce that “It’s his First Amendment Right” and that investigating him would be “racist”!

  3. B Woodman says:

    I presume Mr Happy Gilmore Jr (funny, he doesn’t LOOK like Adam Sandler) lives in Texas. If there are any TAH readers who happen to live near him, why don’cha’all just drop on by and give him a little wall-to-wall counseling. In a friendly Texas sort of way, to help relieve him of some of that pent-up stress.

  4. Jonn Lilyea says:

    Actually, he lives in New Jersey.

  5. Hack.Stone says:

    “Actually, he lives in New Jersey.” Please say it’s North Jersey. South Jersey already has its own resident idiot, Gunny Driveway.

  6. Ex-PH2 says:

    Welll, let’s get Gunny Driveway and Troy the Annoying together, so they can bitchalot.

  7. Cacti35 says:

    Well that week of “reception center” was almost like serving in Vietnam. I recall all those lines I waited in, the shots with the air guns, and a lot of tests, so it was almost as tough!

  8. 68W58 says:

    A lefty threatening violence?!? The hell you say!

  9. O-4E says:

    He has US MARINES on his BDU blouse

  10. O-4E says:

    Sorry John I guess you already covered that. I need more coffee

  11. thebesig says:

    This is the same turd that posted a picture of Jesus knocking on someone’s door. Apparently, this turd didn’t answer the door:

  12. 2/17 Air Cav says:

    He is recruiting people to join him at a US senator’s home to “beat the hell out of” the senator. That’s a specific threat against a public official.

  13. streetsweeper says:

    Go ahead and show up at Cruz’s home dingleberry. You will definitely have bitten far more than you could possibly chew or serve in a chow line in Huntsville.

  14. Smaj says:

    Another English major sharing his special brand of public discourse. Physically threatening a US senator- I hope that earns him a visit from the FBI.

  15. OldmanRick says:

    Could this guy be a wannabe? There are a few of those around.

  16. Just An Old Dog says:

    Another bad ass egg-slapper. Note that he put down that he had Military Police Training and is a reserve LEO.
    Wearing a 1990’s era USMC camo blouse as well. Shitbag.

  17. Just An Old Dog says:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleveland_Brown He has his own wiki page too.

  18. OWB says:

    Well, isn’t he just a special little snowflake! One among many. See, he just doesn’t understand that when elected officials lie and threaten folks it is just normal discourse, but when any of us Plebeians out here uses the same words it is call a crime. Yeah, he really needs to know that he, like us, is just another Plebeian.

    Not that the elected officials don’t already know it. They just pretend to not believe that they are inciting hatred and discontent among the masses.

  19. Hondo says:

    Yeah, it’s kinda obvious this guy never heard of 18 USC 115a(1)(B), or read this document.

    Dumbass. Hope the FBI and or Secret Service “invite” him to come down to their office pronto and “discuss” his little on-line tirade.

  20. DirtDart says:

    just let him come calling- he’ll wind up getting the Texas UNWELCOMED greetings. Would be one less turd to keep track of.

  21. Hayabusa says:

    My head aches from trying to decipher his illiterate scribblings.

    Punctuation: How does it work?

  22. Hondo says:

    Regarding this guy maybe being a wannabe: if anyone can come up with his full name, POB, and DOB, send it to Jonn and I’ll be happy to file a FOIA so we can find out. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to find out the tool is wrong about being a “Vietnam-Era Vet” – but we don’t know that for sure.

    — break —

    Ex-PH2: gee. That’s just too bad. (smile)

  23. Just an Old Dog says:

    I’m betting just like any of the other blowhards, left and right, he’s about as dangerous as a nerf football thrown by a two year old. He and others have to realize is that when they post crap on social media they aren’t just venting to a bartender or chatting with their buddies at a barbecue. They are putting up their ignorant threats for the entire world to see. Among the people who may read the rants are LEOs just looking for a reason to justify their position.

  24. 2/17 Air Cav says:

    @22. Good. Thanks. It is no defense to say, “I didn’t mean it. I was just angry.” There are ways around certain charges but he really has put himself in a box. It will be most telling if the feds don’t charge him. Whether a conviction results I don’t much care. For most folks, being arrested, jailed, bailed, and having to go through The Machine is punishment enough for any number of crimes.

  25. Beretverde says:

    Timothy McVeigh esposed crazy ideas as well. Lock this guy up…PC or not. This is NOT free speech.

  26. Joe Williams says:

    Gil more better be glad that Cruz is in Congress! Almost all Texans will go looking for to see if the person making the threat can back it up. Joe

  27. Anonymous says:

    Looked through the guys face book page. Seems like simply a run of the mill democrat who blew up after drinking the Kool aid. He does seem to be proud of his service and country. I think that the advent of social media has put LEOs in a bind as far as determining who really is a threat. This guy is nothing like Tim Mcviegh, he’s just someone who blew up at who he thought was screwing up the country. I have the same opinion of our idjit in Chief, I just am not dumb enough to post idiotic threats on social media.

  28. 2/17 Air Cav says:

    “I think that the advent of social media has put LEOs in a bind as far as determining who really is a threat.” Actually, it has helped because people are serving up the evidence against themselves, right there for all to see. The determination as to who is a threat and whether or not a threat was made are two separate matters entirely. The threat itself is actionable, whether or not he takes or took a step to make good the threat. And Unhappy Gilmore here has left no room for misinterpretation of the words he wrote.

  29. Thunderb says:

    A guy just got sentenced to three years for saying the same things about POTUS

  30. BeachN says:

    Wonder how long the FBI will allow him to be free?? Long enough to follow up on his threats to Ted Cruz?? We shall see huh..The fact that he is still out right now says a lot..anyone else would have been locked up already…

  31. BeachN says:

    Sometimes, with our government, you have to look deeper into what is going on. Never take anything at face value. Is it possible that this man was fictitiously created? Ted Cruz gets bumped off by the CIA and it is blamed on someone that doesn’t exist named Troy Gilmore Jr ? No I am not nuts but these days ANYTHING is possible when they want you gone. I DO NOT trust my government any longer.. Seen too much heard too much..

  32. NHSparky says:

    Bottom line, you don’t go threatening violence on random people in the street, let alone elected officials.

    Stupidity should be painful.

  33. CAs6 says:

    We should just label this as online bullying and the lefties will trip over themselves throwing benefit concerts and stuff to raise awareness.

    Oh wait…

  34. MAJMike says:

    Heh! Texas Tea Party types would be happy to meet this a$$hat. “Don’t Mess With Texas” isn’t just an anti-litter slogan.

  35. JAL67 says:

    Why does anyone have to resort to the threat, implied or directly stated, of violence? If you have to sink to that level, imho you have already lost the debate or argument. I look forward to the day when we can disagree without being disagreeable…

  36. Sean says:

    Hahahah… Did you see this clowns love me wall? BS certificates of Mil Service you could print anywhere.

  37. Ex-PH2 says:

    The FBI and the DC police are working together on this.

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fbi-capitol-police-investigating-ted-cruz-twitter-threats/story?id=20623361

    If you go to the bottom of the article you see that Gilmore is an annoying, semi-literate dork with a chip on both of his shoulders. A degree in Homeland Security and Security Global Management. “I am trying to obtain now to make this world and my country…” This guy is a self-involved dork with a bent toward being a control freak.

    Shooting a politician is NOT the way to get rid of him. You vote them out of office and then afterwards, make them look as ridiculous as possible, so that the best thing they can do in politicis is dog catcher or sanitation truck driver.

    Seriously. It’s better to find a way to embarrass them out of the political ring, as happened with Gary Hart (who?) than anything else. It lasts longer.

  38. rb325th says:

    Freaking dumbass….

  39. 2/17 Air Cav says:

    @38. The ABC story is a study in slant. First, they refer to him as a grandfather. The relevance of that reference? None. The purpose? To put him in the ‘old and harmless’ category. Then there are the quotes. The story used two relatively innocuous lines from Gilmore’s posts. They chose NOT to use his call to beat the hell out of the senator, despite the fact that that was his first line. They also bypassed the reference to the Saint Valentine’s day massacre but were compelled to offer that, “Federal officials often investigate such online posts out of an abundance of caution — they often turn out to pose no credible threat.” I wonder how credible the reporters would regard the threats if THEY or their families had been the target. Reporters? I really shouldn’t call them that, especially when they say that ”Gilmore’s Linkedin page reveals he was a former prison chef….” It reveals? How about that he “claims”? And what do they mean he WAS a former prison chef? He either IS a former whatever or he is not. Idiots.

  40. Green Thumb says:

    Clown.

  41. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

    Dear Mr. Gilmore,

    Grammar would be particularly helpful in making your point as meandering and pathetic as your attempt was….

    Remember this simple phrase to prompt your grammar check:

    Grammar is the differencing between knowing your shit and knowing you’re shit….the latter is particularly appropriate for you, you f@cking Dumb4ss!

  42. OWB says:

    Or grammar might be the structure of sentences while word usage is how one uses words within those sentences. ;)

  43. 2/17 Air Cav says:

    I am keenly interested in how this all turns out. I can only imagine how the ABC story would have been presented had the public official been Reid, Pelosi, or (though not a public official) obama’s dog.

  44. MGySgtRet. says:

    The stupid fat fuck got teh brain damage from inhaling fumes at the french fry machine. He is not responsible for his tirades. If he was going after a Democrat though, STAND BY!!!

  45. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

    @44 it’s dangerous going after the Dems, they’re all packing heat. Even in cities with the most restrictive gun laws, ruling elite Dems have permits to carry or armed guards who can carry….interesting dichotomy there if you think about it…

  46. NHSparky says:

    I can’t wait to see the FOIA on this clown. This oughta be a hoot.
