Dead Fred

Fred Phelps

I heard this earlier today, but I have no interest in generating another lawsuit. But since you guys are blowing up my inbox with links, I figured, I’d better write something about the death of Fred Phelps. I think it’s remarkable that Fred Phelps was able to influence both sides of the war issue to unite against him and little band of inbred cultists. He capitalized on the emotions over the two hot button issues of the period and built himself a little career being the most hated man in America. So that’s his place in history – being a uniter.

As my old Drill Sgt used to say t- “Him him”..

    Platoon:

    HIM

    HIM

    &uck HIM…

  2. David says:

When and how large will be the protest that disrupts his funeral?

    • Hmm says:

Now, that’s a darn good question! Won’t that be a sight!

    • ExHack says:

Margie Phelps-Roper, his chickenshit coward of a daughter, has announced no funeral. They are, I can only conclude, determined to avoid the inexorable hand of Karma in repaying them for the comfort they’ve brought other bereaved individuals over the years.

    • PSR Pete says:

I’d love to see a huge PGR presense at the asswipes funeral but the Church said no funeral because they don’t worship death. They don’t worship God either!@

  3. OWB says:

Any odds on there being a demand that his funeral/burial be completely private and quiet, free from outsiders disrupting things?

    • ExHack says:

      No bet. Already so announced.

      • streetsweeper says:

I’m going to gear up and go on a scouting mission. I hear Kansas is flat, you can see forever there and when I find the location of the enemy encampment, it will be my duty to secure said enemy encampment and pop smoke, thus marking the exact location of the camps headquarters. Once that is done, I may feel the need to relieve myself and let someone else stand at my post. They in turn will be expected to relieve themselves after a set period of time as well for the next changing of the sentry.

    • NotAPilot says:

I hope is it quiet and uneventful. Any protest will just be giving them the attention they so crave. Anyone with a website titled “Godhatesfags.com” isn’t doing it for the message, they’re doing it for the reaction. Pinto Nag right, they are bullies. If we don’t give them the satisfaction of a reaction, eventually they’ll go away (or more likely try even MORE heinous things).

  4. The Lurker Formally Known as Curt says:

    Fuck that guy.

  5. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

As you point out Jon he was able to unite a diverse group and he certainly proved the Chekov quote: “Love, respect, friendship, do not unite people as much as a common hatred for something.”

His hatred allowed disparate groups to find common ground in despising he and his followers….Bernard Shaw spoke about hatred being the only way a coward could find revenge, thus the coward Fred Phelps who was so terrified of gay men and women he had to express a hatred towards those people at the funerals of others…

I hope Fred’s last moments were spent in agony as his life breath slowly slipped from his body, he should hope my theory on religion is correct otherwise i suspect the rest of his eternity will be a bit warmer than he expected.

  6. rb325th says:

We should sing him a Hymn
    Hymn, Hymn, fuck him..

  7. A Proud Infidel® says:

Good riddance, and I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if most of Topeka as well as Shawnee County, KS celebrates with a Good Riddance party!!

I wonder how soon his inbred flock will collapse?

  8. David says:

My sentiments remain unchanged – I would like to visit his grave. And yes, to be sure, I will drink a very large beer or two first.

    • ChipNASA says:

Just like Psul and Dennis’ Mothers.

      • Valkyrie says:

Will other “condolences” be shared? AS TO the ones Chip was accused of doing to a certain Ball Sac’s Mother Dearest?

    • A Proud Infidel® says:

I’ll wait a while before I do that because I HATE WAITING IN LONG LINES! I hope a crowd of LGBT’ers noisily picket its funeral, anyone wanna bet some of his inbred flock will be demanding that the Police and Sheriff’s Departments keep people from picketing that dead shitbag’s funeral?

  9. CB Senior says:

It was said that he was excumincated from the cult he started by his own kids. I guess his hate was just not up to par with his spawn.

Count me in the Chorus singing the

    Hymn, Hymn, Fuck Him.

  10. OIF '06-'07-'08 says:

Good riddance you gnarly old goat!!!!!!!!

  11. Jonn Lilyea says:

I’m pretty sure that the “ex-communicated rumor” has it’s roots in The Duffel Blog.

  12. nbcguy54 says:

Now this is a Thursday Feel Good Story.
I also read that there will be no funeral. Reckon that can dish it out, but can’t take it – typical.
Wouldn’t it have been great if it was an old retired Combat Medic working in the hospice that tied a knot in his IV to hasten his demise….

    • UpNorth says:

Geez, nbcguy, don’t give the rest of the Phelps family any ideas. They’ll sue at the drop of an anti-military sign.

  13. islandofmisfittoys says:

The ironic or funny part depending on your view was the family asking for no protests and to respect their privacy and allow them to mourn in peace. Funny how it is when the shoe is on the other foot.

  14. MrBill says:

He probably helped hasten the acceptance of gay marriage as well.

  15. Flagwaver says:

I wonder if Bikers will be at the Funeral to show their respects with Harley’s roaring at the legal distance?

  16. T1B says:

Anyone who spews as much hate for his fellow man as Phelps did on behalf of God will certainly have some explaining to do when they meet him face to face.

I wonder how that’s working out for him…

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

Satan had his soul before he left this mortal coil. For some people, Judgement Day is a mere formality.

    • MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

He won’t be greeted by Saint Peter … he is going in the opposite direction!

But Lucifer will have a bag of Hell Swag to hand him at check in time!

    • ExHack says:

I truly hope Phelps realized what he had wrought in this world and asked God’s forgiveness. If he did that, and if the Judeo-Christian God is in fact the true God, then he could rightly expect to be welcomed into Heaven. And I have no problem with that. If he truly realized how much suffering he caused, including amongst the wife, kids and grandkids he abused for decades, that realization would be penance aplenty. And if he asked forgiveness, and meant it – the J/C God will forgive. If God can forgive, we can forgive.

It’s just like $h!tbag posers. If they turn in their fakery finery, stop posing, and ask for forgiveness, most of you fine real vets (and we who support you) here seem inclined to forgive. Of course, forgive and forget are two very different animals.

      • streetsweeper says:

Current intel is, Phelps is posing but, in the horizontal position? Forgive? Sure… Forget? Ain’t happening. 8-)

      • ExHack says:

        That be REposing, ‘sweeper.

Forgive, if a $h!tbag repents, of course. Forget, when $h!t sticks to the moon.

  17. Pinto Nag says:

The heading it’s under says it all: SHITBAG.

Maybe the Air Force could arrange some maneuvers at tree top level for about an hour, right over his funeral. A bombing run would be even better, but we’re not that lucky.

  18. 2/17 Air Cav says:

Know what pisses me off? Yeah, everything. No, it’s videos with a “Skip This Ad” notice BUT, DAMMIT, YOU HAVE TO WATCH HALF THE AD BEFORE IT CAN BE SKIPPED! Whew. That felt good. Anyway, Fred is dead, eh? I hope he is buried and that the grave is marked. Many of us would very much like to visit it. You know, to pay our respects and all.

  19. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

May he rot in hell for eternity!

I have no more to say about this dead animal!

  20. Enigma4you says:

I met the crazy ass man and his crazy ass daughter. I had the honor of being their hit list for a period of time. I knew when I was I was doing the right thing. I have no use for him. I hope he got to spend to minutes in front of God and time eternal in hell.

I also hope that their was a line of Soldiers and Sailors, each holding a child that he had to pass thru and look in the eye of his way to see god.

    Burn in Hell Fred

    • Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

In his realm there is hatred — secret hatred: there is disgust — unspoken disgust: there is treachery — family treachery: there is vice — deep, deadly, domestic vice. In his dominions, children grow unloving between parents who have never loved: infants are nursed on deception from their very birth: they are reared in an atmosphere corrupt with lies … All that surrounds him hastens to decay: all declines and degenerates under his sceptre. Your god is a masked Death.”

Fred Phelps has much to atone for, as do those who follow in his footsteps and his evil church….

  21. blkhwks says:

The hatred will still be published and promoted by his inbred offspring. Hell they even kicked him out of his own church. I guess the clan eats their own.

  22. Just An Old Dog says:

I wonder if his buriak will be in a public cemetery?. I would gladly contribute to a fund that placed rainbow flags and little statuettes of gay and lesbian couples kissing on his grave a few times a year.

  23. Eggs says:

As Butch Coolidge would probably say – “Fred’s dead baby, Fred’s dead”.

  24. Sapper3307 says:

    Burn in Hell with Osama.

  25. 2/16 says:

Has anyone spoke of plans yet to protest his funeral?

  26. H1 says:

Fred Phelps will suffer the most ignoble fate of all.
A media whore who will not even rate a footnote in the history of the world.

  27. MrBill says:

    Curtis Mayfield –

  28. B Woodman says:

Even if we can’t be at the funeral, at least find out where the gravesite is. Then have a bunch of LGBTs (etc) doing their horizontal mambo on top of the site. Afterwards, the rest of us can water the grave with recycled beer (no sense in wasting otherwise perfectly good beer). Lather, rinse, repeat.
Maybe we can come to a schedule.
Vets with beers, one day per week.
LGBT, another day of the week.

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

How ’bout if I had Beer & Pizza the night before and had to “Bomb Baghdad” while I was paying my respects?
Meh, it’s tha thought that counts, ain’t it?

  29. Valerie says:

I was raised not to speak ill of the dead, but this is a special, special case.

This family does not deserve privacy nor silence, nor kind words, upon the death of this evildoer.

I’m not going to bother picketing, or making noise, but I certainly will not stop, or criticize, anybody who wants to do that. This evil man, and his family deserve to be on the receiving end of a unique event.

    • Just An Old Dog says:

The big thing is, its not like he was a raging prick and his family were just regular folks or victims of his also.
When some pieces of shit die they leave behind family that griee them for what they could have been, and try to make peace with how they turned out.
His family were just as bad or worse, so screw them. I hope thousands of people line the route to where he is being planted, jeering all the way.

  30. NHSparky says:

Here’s hoping Satan is fucking him in the ass with a pineapple as we speak.

  31. MSGRetired says:

Ding Dong the Dick is Dead !!!

I’m sure he will be right next to Hitler, he will be the one getting the larger Pineapples!

  32. Richard says:

Meander over to blackfive, find the article about Fred, and look at the artwork on the bottom. Most appropriate.

This prick caused a lot of pain and, as far as I can tell, did not good in this world. Some people are born just to be an example of how NOT to behave. Fred found his calling and I sincerely hope that he pays for it.

  33. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

I just friended someone on farcebook that I haven’t seen and heard from in at least twenty years. Great guy both then and now, he’s also a Priest. On his page, he told about the first funeral he presided over. It was for a young boy, a hemophiliac that had contracted HIV via a blood transfusion.
Phelps and his hate cult were there spewing their usual venom. It’s not just military funerals, his inbred cult spreads hate wherever they can!

    • 68W58 says:

Yeah-he knew how to play the media to get attention, and he would use any tragic event for his own vile devices. Case in point, there was an accident where some coal miners had died in W. Virginia and WBC announced that they were going to protest because the deaths of those miners showed-I don’t know-something about God’s vengeance.

If you are so inclined you can see some ideological basis for their protests of GIs and gays (twisted though it may be), but really they are just opportunistic media whores and that was Phelps’ wretched plan all along.

  34. Ex-PH2 says:

    Who?

    End of story.

  35. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Actually, it was a young man (19, years old, not 9, mea culpa) and here’s the link:

    http://www.socialjusticesolutions.org/2014/03/20/fred-phelps-new-hope/

  36. Green Thumb says:

    Later.

  37. Roger in Republic says:

I say give Fred’s sons, daughters, and supporters exactly what they gave the mothers and fathers of our fallen brothers and sisters. After all, when you exercise your rights don’t you have to respect others right to exercise theirs. Our right to free speech trumps their right to privacy. That according to several court cases they instigated so they could disrupt veterans interments. There can’t be a GOD. If there were, there would be sulfur and brimstone belching up out of Fred’s grave.

    • The Other Whitey says:

Oh, there most certainly is a God. He’s the one that judged this sack of shit for all of his sins in this world, all the pain that he caused, the lies he told, the heroes he slandered, and then sent his useless ass straight to hell.

I don’t believe in karma, but I definitely believe in comeuppance. And ol’ Fred is getting his up the ass as we speak.

  38. Enigma4you says:

Dude, What The Fuck? Said God to Fred as he opened the trap door to hell

  39. Jim Legans, Jr says:

I’d have to say Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church have done good in this world and I thank them for it.

They started protesting funerals of dead American Service men in early 2005. American Legion Riders from Legion Post 136 in Mulvane, Kansas heard of it and were appalled. The good men and women of that Post and Riders Chapter gathered at the funeral of Sgt. John Doles in Chelsea, Oklahoma in August of 2005 to stand between the WBC and SGT Doles family. Within a couple of weeks they founded the Patriot Guard Riders.

The PGR went viral in a matter of weeks to become a nation wide group of people who honor fallen service men and women, police, firefighters, and first responders. They do a lot more than just that.

Without Fred Phelps and the Westboro baptist Church, the PGR might never have been.

    Amen.

    • Enigma4you says:

      Jim,

All fact what you said. As a Member of the PGR I regret that the Primary function is to shield the family. This would not have been needed it it were not for him

      • Jim Legans, Jr says:

        Enigma,

I share your regret for how PGR was started. Yet, I’m glad it was, and I don’t think it would have been without him.

P.S. I don’t like him or his church any more than anyone else here. I just wanted to point out that God can use the devil as His errand boy.

  40. Tom Huxton says:

His grave will become a cult destination

They will return home with pink and purple t shirts that say “I pizzed on Fred’s grave”

  41. Roger in Republic says:

According to Wikipedia the family has announced that there will not be a funeral for Fred. His daughter said, “we don’t worship death”. No shit? What the hell have they been doing for the last nine years? You can’t make this stuff up.

    • B Woodman says:

The family may not have a full blown official funeral, but the azzhat has to be buried at sometime, somewhere. Even if they manage to sneak him into the ground without notice, someone will eventually find out the “where”. After that, it’s GAME ON!.

      • Old Trooper says:

Not necessarily. They could have him cremated. I don’t want to think about what that ugly bitch would probably do with the ashes, though. Yeah, I went there. I’ve been within 3 feet of those bastards several times and the very first time I saw them up close, I thought “inbreeders”. They have all the classic signs cooking i.e. sloped forehead, crazed, clueless look on their face, eyes too close together, etc. Probably play the banjo and pork farm animals, too.

  42. Old Trooper says:

As Curly Bill would say: Well; bye.

  43. jonp says:

I ran across this shit sucker and his circus freaks at a couple of PGR missions.
Good riddance and enjoy your time in hell

  44. RunPatRun says:

Email that went to PGR member list.
    ——————–

    Patriot Guard,

Let’s first remember our Nation’s true Heroes. Those brave men and women of our military and first responders who gave their life so that we may enjoy the freedom to express our differences.

While it is hard to find anything good to say about his views or actions, we do give our condolences to his family during what must be a painful time for them. We take no joy in the sickness and death of any man. We do not celebrate the death of Fred Phelps. Patriot Guard Riders hope that Mr. Phelps somehow found the peace that seemed to elude him in life.

It is true that the PGR grew out of a response to protests at funerals. That’s a fair statement.

However, that was 2005 and the PGR quickly learned that there was something powerful in a gathering of Americans who would simply stand and hold flags and let a family know that they were not alone. That powerful thing became our mission.

We are neither a protest nor a counter protest group. We honor fallen Heroes and those who have honorably served this free America. The presence or absence of a protest does not alter that mission.

If it not for this man and his family we might not have heeded the call to regularly honor the sacrifices of our nation’s true heroes and their families. Nor would we have come to know the brother/sisterhood that has become the Patriot Guard Riders.

    Respectfully,

    Robbie

    Robbie Smart
    President
    Patriot Guard Riders
