About that “Influx of Children” on the Border. . . .

| July 21, 2014

Last Friday, the Federal government released some data regarding the recent upturn in illegal immigration. Were I a cynic, I might say that the timing was chosen to obscure the story – since the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was the big item that day. And it was released on a Friday afternoon , which is traditionally when data that is unflattering to the US Administration at the time has been released (less chance of coverage over the weekend).

The data that was released is . . . interesting.

The Federal government and the media has routinely characterized this latest round of illegal immigration as being “children”. And in truth, the number of minors unlawfully immigrating without an accompanying adult has indeed roughly doubled – to 57,525 over the last nine months.

However, buried in the data are two facts that prove the characterization above wrong. First: over the same period , the number of persons unlawfully immigrating in family units (child plus one or both parents) has quintupled – e.g., increased fivefold. That total was 55,420.

In other words:  a smaller percentage of those immigrating unlawfully today are unaccompanied minors than was the case nine months ago.

The second nugget: the majority of those so-called “children” . . . really aren’t children in anything but the legal sense. Rather, most are youngsters aged 14-17.  If they were here legally, some of them would be old enough to serve in the military if otherwise qualified.

They’re often not coming here to “reunite with their family”, either. When asked, many make no bones about the fact that they’re coming to the US illegally to look for work.

And don’t even try the bogus claim that they’re “victims of human trafficking”. They’re coming after either they or relatives pay a coyote to bring them to the US illegally.

We must act “in the best interests of the children.”  Yeah, right.  So much for the Administration leveling with the US public about what’s going on here.

Yeah,  they’re p!ssing on our leg and telling us it’s raining yet again.  But given what we’ve seen from the “the most transparent Administration in history” so far –did you really expect anything else?

These folks are starting to make LBJ and Nixon both look truthful by comparison.

I was figuring a lot of these “unaccompanied minors” have been on their on for several years. A 15-17 Year old from Mexico or Central America probably has more work experience and independence than a 25-30 year old American.
The Media always likes to squeeze those shots in of some Mestiza with a baby on each tit and a couple of crumb snatchers hanging on to her leg.

  2. Ex-PH2 says:

    Nixon and LBJ? Truthful?

Oh, crap, Hondo, you need to post a spew warning, for pete’s sake!

You’re right. And I wondered just how long the TRUTH about it all was going to be hidden from us lowly peones.

Nice of you to track that down. Keep it up.

  3. OWB says:

Someone somewhere managed to get out a lot of pics of the “children.” You know the ones – with all that facial hair and tattoos. Many with beer guts as well. Some of them may actually be minors, but they are certainly NOT children.

Seems like a lot of states used to quit calling minors children around age 10-12. All of that used to be tied into accountability and holding youngsters legally responsible for their own actions. Too bad that the feds refuse to apply the same standards to these minors that apply to our own citizens who happen to be minors.

    • Flagwaver says:

Don’t forget about that small “family” of innocent youths that was being lead by the 16 year old with MS13 tatted on his FACE.

  4. David says:

Kinda reminds me of all the “children” killed by guns – they include up to age 24 in that group.

  5. nbcguy54 says:

Honduras and El Salvador present the highest numbers, followed by Guatemala. Mexico ranks a very low 4th.
Stating the obvious here but Mexican immigrants ain’t the problem – it’s their own disregard for their Southern border that’s the issue.

  6. vietnam war protestor aka uss liberty aka deport republicans not the children says:

This is reagans welfare cadillac again. How many of you have a fourteen year old who you think is an adult. And no mention of the unaccompanied under 14 typical. This is why thinking white people(non ignorant white trash) and almost all minorities vote democrat because republicans are EVIL!

    • ArmyATC says:

I don’t have a 14 year old at home. But I do have a 15 year old son who is obviously more mature than you are.

    • Hondo says:

Here’s a message for you, vwp – in case you missed it earlier. (Could be NSFW/around small children, prudes, and clergy.)

I think that sums up how a lot of us feel when we read your dumbass comments here.

    • Pinto Nag says:

I notice you said that Republicans are evil — but you like their money just fine. That’s what is used to pay for all those things you want, VWP. Got news for you: if you kick them out, they’ll take their money with them. And then how are you going to pay for all those bennies you want?

    • 68W58 says:

Of course, when Reagan was describing welfare cheats there was some substance behind what he was saying-http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/history/2013/12/linda_taylor_welfare_queen_ronald_reagan_made_her_a_notorious_american_villain.html

VWP is impervious to facts (and soap), but others should know the truth.

    • Flagwaver says:

At 14, I had a paper route in the early morning hours and worked at a bakery after school. It was 1992 and I was helping to offset the low level of disability income my parents were receiving after my father was released from the military. Then we moved to Oregon where I helped work a farm for six hours a day, making about as much as I did with both other jobs combined in Rancho Cordova (don’t get your hopes up, it’s a suburb of Sacramento).

As for who they will vote for, you are wrong. They will vote for whoever will give them money. Whether it is in the form of cash, benefits, or work. That is the culture they come from; where money is the ultimate power.

  7. nbcguy54 says:

That’s why Texans keep voting in Republicans huh? No minorities down here.

    • vietnam war protestor aka uss liberty aka deport republicans not the children says:

That is why republicans have enacted voter suppression laws in texas to stop them from voting. example you can register to vote with hunting license ‘but not college id! Not for long almost 50% of texas is now a minority! Don’t it turn my red eyes BLUE!

      • Climb to Glory says:

As I said before, you and the rest of the communist are racist. You loons can’t see past the color of ones skins. You see them as just a number and not a person. They are a vote and nothing more. Don’t you have some pictures of Pol Pot’s killing fields to beat off to? Shut your mouth and go away you worthless fuck.

      • Hondo says:

And what, pray tell, is wrong with requiring someone to prove that they are who they claim they they are in order to vote? Or that they’re – gasp! – actually legally registered to vote?

Sheesh – the above from vwp is simply typical libidiot false talking point #37.

      • nbcguy54 says:

Actually I think BLACK and blue would be more fitting, Chrystal….

      • The Other Whitey says:

Voter ID is not the same as voter suppression, VWPutz. Not even close. It reduces election fraud by ensuring that each voter only votes in elections in their constituency, only votes once, and doesn’t vote if legally prohibited.

Regarding the first, it’s a no-brainer. Should I, as a SoCal resident, get a vote in the election that decides who will represent Bronx NYC in Congress? Of course not, for all kinds of reasons. Basically, for me to do so would constitute an attempt to exert political control over another group (political, ethnic, or otherwise) to subvert their right to self-determination and act against their best interests. That’s called Imperialism, shitbird, and we all know that’s supposed to be a bad word for liberals.

On the second point, one person casting multiple votes in a single election pretty much defeats the democratic process. I shouldn’t have to explain this, but it’s been going on a lot lately.

As far as legal prohibitions, it’s so simple even a fuckwit like you should grasp it. The legal requirement to vote in this country is simple: if you’re a US citizen (native-born or naturalized makes no difference) over the age of 18, you can vote. Period fucking dot. What would you say to me driving down to Ensenada on El Día de elección and casting my vote on Mexican candidates and ballot initiatives? You’d shit a fucking brick, you hypocritical asswipe!

You and your libtard kith and kin want to block measures that would curb voter fraud like this. That says an awful lot about your priorities, and the supposed majority you love to claim. Could it be that a marked reduction in voter fraud could reveal that liberals are in fact a minority in America?

I think you know the answer, VWPieceofshit, whether your fragile little turburgling mind will admit or not.

        • Hondo says:

There you go again, Other Whitey – trying to use logic and fact with vwp. Won’t you ever learn? (smile)

      • nbcguy54 says:

Actually, IAW the 2013 census, 56% of the Texas population fall into a minority classification.
C’mon Venereal Wart Packer – at least try every once in a while to actually have some FACTS.
You make it way too easy…..

        • GDContractor says:

I guess the meaning of the word “minority” has changed. When am I going to start getting my free minority shit? (asked the white self-employed redneck)

      • 68W58 says:

I posted this yesterday and you ignored it, but it’s still true and you’re still a moron.

      • UpNorth says:

VWMoron, it’s quite apparent that you know nothing about IDs. To get a valid Texas hunting license, one has to present a valid photo ID, either a driver’s license or state ID. That is not the case with a college ID.

      • Flagwaver says:

I’m curious what voter suppression law he is referring to. It is proven that areas under a Voter I.D. law have a higher per capita minority turn-out than they do a Caucasian turn-out.

Then again, when a people are the predominant ethnic block within an area, are they still considered the minority?

        • Hondo says:

He’s simply pulling talking points out of his rectum, Flagwaver. Just like good libidiots do every day.

You’ve proven time and time again why non-thinking people vote Dummycrat. You can’t even spell and your grasp of history is distorted at best. You are an example of why some animals eat their young.

    • Climb to Glory says:

      That was meant for VWP.

      • Hondo says:

I guess it’s about time to break out this very NSFW video again.

        View and comply, vwp.

By the way VWP fuck face, any comments on the massacre in Chicago over the weekend. Didn’t think so you racist twat. Walk your happy ass into oncoming traffic you pathetic fuck.

      • Flagwaver says:

I feel a great deal of sadness and pity for you. I am open-minded enough to look at both sides of the issue to see the entire issue without the bias of one side or the other. You are spewing blind adoration of your side and seething hatred of the other, without understanding that no one side has everything right.

It is truly sad that you are representative of a block of voters within our country who willfully turns their intellect over to others without thought of outcome. It is akin to those who supported the popular and charismatic speaker, the man who said what they wanted to hear, and asked just one more small concession again and again. In the end, the people happily shackled themselves because it was just one more small concession.

All Men are created equal. The founding fathers believed this, yet you see only what you have been spoon-fed to see. It is for that reason that you have my pity.

    • Delilah T. says:

If conservative Republicans are so evil, then explain the massive vote fraud in Chicago at EVERY DAMNED ELECTION, vwpestilence. Explain the massive vote fraud in Minnesota that changed the actual election results so that Al Franken got a Senate seat he didn’t deserve. Explain just how Lois Lerner’s fucking e-mails suddenly disappeared in a phony hard-drive crash, when e-mails are stored on a system.

Explain those things, you pimple on Satan’s hairy assw, or shut your fucking mouth for good.

      • Hondo says:

You too, DT? Haven’t you learned yet that vwp is impervious to logic and common sense? (smile)

      • Delilah T. says:

Well, I didn’t bring up George Soros’s spending $27.5 Million+++ in his corrupt attempt to buy the 2004 presidential election, did I? Or how utterly devastated Soros the Skank Control Freak was that his money couldn’t defeat the Republicans, after all.

Oh, and here’s the latest update on Gov. Perry’s decision to send 1,000 NGs to the Texas border to support the BP guys. I sincerely hope that this makes it clear to all WETBACKS that they have to go through legal channels, because the back door is closed.

  9. GDContractor says:

Hondo – Over July 4th Weekend, the NY Times wrote an article that claimed a total of 300K illegal immigrants had come across the border. Of these, 57K or thereabouts were children. The article is here : http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/04/us/influx-of-central-american-migrants-roils-murrieta-calif.html but you must have a NYT login to read it (I don’t have one).

Today (I think) Gov. Rick Perry said that only 20% of those crossing the border illegally are children.

Everything including your analyses seems to triangulate that this is not a “children” crisis at all, in spite of what the administration and their willing accomplices would like us to believe.

Oh, and VWP: Fuck you too!

  10. vietnam war protestor aka uss liberty aka deport republicans not the children says:

What should be the penalty for preventing an american citizen from registering to vote or voting. 25 years sounds about right. By the way is this still a christain nation? I haven’t heard that phrase much since the same people hav called for getting rid of the children!

    • UpNorth says:

The penalty for registering multiple times? The penalty for the dead voting? The penalty for voting multiple times? I agree, the punishment is not near severe enough.
Yeah, it’s still a Christian nation. The arrival of illegals has nothing to do with that. But, even in your drug-addled state you know that, don’t you?

      • vietnam war protestor aka uss liberty aka deport republicans not the children says:

Still christian nation then what children would jesus deport ?

        • OWB says:

Which Jesus are you talking about? There have been a bunch of Jesus’ caught sneaking across the border, many with very heavy beards, some with communicable diseases, and others with serious criminal charges pending against them in multiple countries.

        • OldSargeUSAR says:

Well, VWPussy, “Jesus” would start by deporting your dumb ass.

        • Flagwaver says:

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, render unto God that which is Gods.

At no point did Jesus suggest that laws should be broken. In fact, he said that laws should be followed.

Caesar declares a border. So, Christians should respect that border. God declares that children should be helped. So, Christians should help the children.

So, tell me, why should we not simply help the children and then send them home to respect the borders that Caesar has declared?

    • Delilah T. says:

      Preveting an American from voting?

Yes, just when ARE the Black Panthers going to be prosecuted for interfering with voting for both presidential elections 2008 and 2012 in places like Philadephia and Cleveland? That’s a federal offense, isn’t it? Intimidating votgers, threatening them, all the racist crap that went along with that. And what about those places where people whose early vote ballots were oddly not counted at all if they were marked Repbulican? How about that?

Funny you should ask, vwpimpleface, because all the intereference, intimidation and other misbehavior came from the side of the fence that you sit on – THE LIBTARD LEFT, you incredible moron.

I blame YOU and your imbecilic buddies for everything that is wrong in this country right now. It’s all YOUR fault, so go fix it and get back to us before you die of old age.

    • Hondo says:

The actual penalty is up to 5 years per proven instance, vwp. See 42 USC 1973j.

And as DT observes above – yeah, let’s talk about the New Black Panther Party and Philadelphia, 2008. And about this Administration’s DoJ giving them a pass for blatant voter intimidation tactics.

You’re nothing but a hypocritical jackass – and I’d guess you’re not even bright enough to realize that.
