Johnnie Ivan Massie; Marine phony

| January 31, 2015

Johnnie Massey

Scotty sends us his work on this Johnnie Ivan Massie fellow who claims to be a mighty Marine with his Combat Action Ribbon, his Purple Heart Medal and his Bronze Star with valor device. Here the DD214 that he flashes;

img018

Yeah, I’ve never heard of a .60 caliber machine gun either. Or a sarpshooter bage. And his primary occupational specialty was an oh-three hundred Marine boot. So I guess that’s all legit, isn’t it? His service on that DD214 is entirely during the Jimmy Carter years, you know, that war-monger Carter who had us involved in shooting wars every other day.

Well, the National Personnel Records Center says differently;

Johnnie Massie FOIA

Johnnie Massie assignments

Seven months and a week. Now almost 40 years later he is wearing this bullshit.

Can’t even fake a good DD214. The use of whiteout is pretty obvious. Not going into how the dates of his awards don’t add up. The good one that I caught, which most people overlook: block 9f- DD 257. That’s General Discharge cert vs a DD256 which is an Honorable Discharge cert.
Note to idiots: know your form numbers when forging documents.

    • Hondo says:

Hmm. Attended training at Pendleton for about 2 weeks, then got transferred to a holding company and received a general discharge less than 60 days later.

I wonder if someone might have gotten caught with “contraband”?

    • James says:

Hell, try using a damn typewriter. That font isn’t anything like they would have used in the 70s-80s.

  2. Big Steve says:

Yet another phony who did a piss poor job with his research, spelling, and everything on his 214.
That .60 cal machine gun must have really wreaked havoc on the enemy. Or at least the targets he shot at.
F***er can’t spell “meritorious,” can’t spell “badge,” can’t get his weapons right. Unreal.

However, even on the FOIA form, some government dummy couldn’t spell Marines correctly. 🙂

  3. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

From MIL Wiki on .60 Cal:

A weapon used by the most secretive of SPEC FOUR Forces during VEIT NOM War. Called the .60 CAL because it was .1 better than (10 % mathimedically speaking) the .50 cal.

    • Big Steve says:

      Good one!

    • Todd Davis says:

Ask him if he had good dope on the rifle range he will probably tell you he didn’t do drugs lol. I know dope is a Marine term for the most part but any Marine would get what you were trying to say. Btw I shot sharpshooter. But after I got recycled at PI for not qualifying the first time then went to Mtp. And learned a lot. My new DI Bryan Battaglia. Yes the Seac now helped me to qualify and move on

    • Sparks says:

MCPO NYC USN Ret. Master Chief…Thanks now I remember where I heard of a .60 CAL before. Ah the things I forget.

    • Grimmy says:

      MCPO:

      Don’t laugh, Ok?

When I was with 2/7 1st MarDiv at Camp Pendleton, I met an 0331 (machine-gunner, school trained) that swore up and down that the M60 was named the M60 because it shot a .60 cal bullet. Any attempts to correct that numbnut on the issue resulted in a fist fight.

      • SFC D says:

I thought the same thing until a rather large Samoan DS taught me otherwise! Thank you SSG Pitolo!

  4. JacktheJarhead says:

Funny, I was in at the same time and all I have is a Good Conduct. I must have been doing something wrong.

  5. Ex-PH2 says:

Oh, here. He misspelled a few words.
‘sarpshooter’ is actually ‘carp shooter’. The .60 cal is for shooting carp unwilling to cooperate.

‘bage’ is actually ‘cage’. He was a carp shooter and cage operator.

Operating the carp cage is part of that MOS. You herd the carp into it. If they won’t cooperate, you shoot them.

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

.60 cal, SHIT!! Next thing you know he’ll be crowing that he fired the same .85 caliber M666 Plasma Gun I used back when I was an Apollo Mission Door Gunner!

  6. Toasty Coastie says:

Looks like he needs to call Frank Visconti 😈

  7. Mustang1LT says:

Who would name their child Johnnie John? I mean, did his parents not know that Ivan is the Russian spelling for John? The name alone tells me that this guy is “special”.

    • Thunderstixx says:

When he was born his parents knew that he was going to end up being a turd so they named him after the most known name for a shitter…
      TWICE !!!!!
      Johnnie John !!!!!
      BWAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!

  8. Flagwaver says:

Who would have thought the Most Interesting Man in the World would have a poser twin brother Bond villain!!!

  9. Civilwarrior says:

Winner of the award for the worst DD-214 ever typed out on grandma’s old typewriter ever.

  10. Green Thumb says:

Is it me or does that PH look like it has a few stars on it?

If that is the case, then turd is rocking four or five PH’s.

  11. HMCS(FMF) ret says:

I looked the the stuff over at Scotty’s place… dude had a meltdown of some sort and was recommended for discharge the day after Christmas 1978 due to his unsuitability for service.

    Farking bedwetter…

  12. Sparks says:

Okay I off on a rant now. This ass hole is sporting a Purple Heart and CAR, the Marine equivalent of a CIB. Both on my big bullshit radar scope. Anyone else notice that when he “mistyped” his phoney DD-214, he failed to add any appropriate campaign awards? You know those necessary, “I was there” when this happened awards. You sorta have to be in a combat theater to get a Purple Heart, CAR and Bronze Star. This guy is a dip shit with teeth as false as his bullshit stories. You wanted fame and recognition Johnnie well guess what ass hole…now you’ll get all you can handle and more, just not the kind you wanted. By the way Johnnie you are Numbers 1 through 6 on the Google hit parade when I search your name. Good for you.

    • nbcguy54 says:

There sorta has to be a Combat Theater to go into first, doesn’t there?

      • Hondo says:

Interesting question. I don’t believe there does, actually – or at least, it can be declared after the fact.

I’m pretty sure that both Grenada and Panama fall into that category. Ditto Beirut, the Dominican Republic, and El Salvador.

Of course, this dipstick didn’t participate in any of those. Even if his claimed dates of service (1977-1981) were accurate (they’re not), none of those opearations occurred during that period of time.

      • Semper Idem says:

Not necessarily – I believe that the troops killed / wounded at the Pentagon on 11 September 2001 all got Purple Hearts.

Does that count as ‘in theater’ for your purposes?

  13. GDcontractor says:

Per his facebook post of an Astar helo, he works for some sort of care flight outfit in some capacity. I bet he used his false creds to get the job.
    From his FB page.https://fbcdn-photos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/v/t1.0-0/10361452_790927497597178_2491026085946767754_n.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoibCJ9&oh=0777997b9e518f649828dd11bf4f2342&oe=55670001&__gda__=1433309547_a8e1ba53810cf6e53f4093647382903b

I wonder if the folks at Metro Aviation know their boy Johnnie is a phonie?

Meet the team at Metro Aviation Inc. Shreveport,LA. http://www.metroaviation.com/meet-metro.php

  14. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Stupidassed brainless booger-eating bedwetting Santorum-stained dingleberry on a buck-toothed inbred Swamp Donkey’s ass, I wonder if he’ll “lawer up” with a certain critter in the PMW? He appears to be cut from the same cloth!!

  15. JimW says:

They don’t use lower case letters on DD-214’s, And awards are always listed in order for the most part. Awards are not listed in columns. The font and spacing is all wrong. The form was used during the Vietnam period, Block 19-Indochina or Korea Service. Pretty easy to see this one is a forgery.

  16. USMCE8Ret says:

Block 18(a) reads his net active service is 4 yrs, 1 month and 22 days. So does his total active service and total seas service for pay. That means he signed his contract, didn’t go to recruit training nor any schools. He just reported to the ship and went to sea. I guess of all that time at sea, he spent a total of 1 year, 3 months and 3 days on dry land.

    • USMCE8Ret says:

(corrected to read: On his FAKE discharge paperwork, not the stuff on Scotty’s page).

BTW, has anyone called him out on his bullshit on his FB page?

      • JimW says:

Looks like his FB page is down

      • nbcguy54 says:

I sent him a polite question, of which he hasn’t answered yet.
In the words of someone who was more of a Marine than him- “Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!”.

        • Ozzie 11B says:

Damn!!! Now I’m going to have that in my head for the next 3 days. LMAO

        • TheCloser says:

He reminds of the Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket. He makes it through Marine Corps boot camp despite being a fat, walrus looking piece of shit, and then pisses it all away.

  17. streetsweeper says:

He gonna be royally fucked when Metro catches this crap…

  18. Green Thumb says:

With that beard and his medals pinned on, he somewhat resembles a Banana Republic dictator.

  19. Combat Historian says:

Please not that this dingbat’s DD-214 has him “sarpshooter”-qualified with a “60 Cal” weapon; not “.60 Cal”, but “60 Cal”. That would make him a “sarphooter” of a 1524mm cannon, or a 60-inch gun. This doofus is way beyond being a space shuttle doorgunner; he was actually in the Imperial Death Star Artillery Corps that destroyed Alderaan…

    • Hondo says:

What – you mean his weapon wasn’t made in California in 1960? (smile)

    • CLAW131 says:

Isn’t that about the size of the cannon that was used to shoot Arden, Barbicane and Capt Nicholl to the moon?

Seems I remember reading something like that in Jules Verne’s “From the Earth to the Moon”.

  20. Dave Hardin says:

Every once in a while I meet someone I take an instant disliking to. You know, like the guy who gets in the elevator with you, doesn’t say anything, doesn’t really do anything, you just know you don’t like his ass.

This guy, ya well, he’s that guy in the elevator. I didn’t need to know anything about him.

  21. PeteOldABH says:

I like the fact he has an RE-4 reenlistment code on his 214. Probably the only true wording on it.

  22. Big Steve says:

Looking at his pic (side profile) on the TAH homepage, I think we need to add a “v” to his last name. Johnnie Massive.

  23. TheCloser says:

What’s with the picture of a woman holding his dog tags next to her crotch? Creepy…

  24. Ozzie 11B says:

Now, maybe he was a .60 Cal Machine Gunner.

  25. Slick Goodlin says:

At least he was creative enough with his DD-214 to enlighten readers that Parachutist Wings are jump-wings.

  26. John D says:

The .60 cal badge is legit.

He got it for blowing out his ass….

  27. Commissioner Wretched says:

Christ on a crutch … I went to high school with this guy. He was a freshman the year I graduated, and we were both in JROTC. His older brother graduated with me.

    Unbelievable. Just … wow.

  28. Hack Stone says:

I was trying to figure out what event occurred on November 18, 1978 that would warrant a Purple Heart. Thanks to Al Gore inventing the intertubes, there are two possibilities. He either participated in Great Britian’s testing of a nuclear device in Nevada, or he was wounded at the Jonestown Massacre in Guyana.

    #BringElaineRicciHome

    • CLAW131 says:

      That’s easy, Hack.

He broke a finger nail while performing S- P-O-R-T-S on his jammed 60 caliber machine gun.

  29. 1610desig says:

Reminds me of Jack Nicholson in “The Departed”…and just as sleazy

  30. Airdale USN says:

The National Defense Service Medal is authorized for the following time periods:[2]

    Korean War June 27, 1950 – July 27, 1954
    Vietnam War January 1, 1961 – August 14, 1974
    Persian Gulf War August 2, 1990 – November 30, 1995
Global War on Terrorism September 11, 2001 – Present Day
    NOT 1977-78 Idiot!!!

  31. Soon to be this s#! $ head ex wife says:

I spent three years w this loser and I am just cracking up w all these comments. Get em boys. He put me thru hell and I found out after my last hell day w him of how much of a fake he really is and I have the bullet in my back to prove just what an arse he really is ! Much love to those who nailed him. Maybe now the M.C. that he is in will kick his fake fat ass to the curb

    • Green Thumb says:

      Another poser, another MC.

      When will it all end?!?!?

Good for you moving on and good luck.

    • bamagirl says:

I’m still laughing my ass off!!! I apologize yet again for that 3 year mistake!!!!

  32. Disappointed says:

He is my father and the BS he has been telling for years has gotten way out of control. I say make his ass famous I tried to reason with him to no avail. It is a slap in the face to all of us who served not only in combat but everyone who has worn the uniform. I apologize for his lack of respect and am ashamed of his actions.

  33. Tried to help him says:

Mental illness takes on many forms and Johnnie has several degrees of it. He is a very sick man both mentally and phsically sad he chose lying about things to cope with himself. Johnnie you have so many good qualities and Im so sad for you that you could not except the great man you actually are and build your self esteem up with those qualities, instead of being a liar. Jill
