Timothy Daniel Foley, “Cartel Land” star

| August 6, 2015

Tim Foley

There’s a fairly popular documentary being shown around the country called “Cartel Land” about a popular uprising against the drug cartels south of the Mexican border led by a Mexican doctor. It’s also about a border vigilante group, Arizona Border Recon, on the northern side of the border led by a veteran by the name of Timothy Daniel Foley, but who goes by the name Tim Azbr Nailer.

Foley presents himself as a veteran of the 82d Airborne Division who took an oath to defend the country from foreign and domestic enemies that still drives his life.

Foley in the media

Well, his story of his military career is true, but not to the extent that Foley would like you to believe. He was a soldier, he was a paratrooper in the 82d Airborne Division’s 307th Engineer Battalion, but only for a very brief period. He didn’t like service in the 82d back in the early 80s as much as he likes to talk about it now.

He was in the Army for 19 months and it looks like a portion of that time he spent as a deserter and a military prisoner;

The annotation in his records “USAPCF FOCA” means “United States Army Personnel Control Facility, Fort Ord California” (jail). Since he was in jail in California, I have to think that it’s because he went AWOL from the East Coast to his home on the West Coast where he was arrested or turned himself in for the offense. So, not only is he more enamored with his service in the 82d today than he was while he was there, he also takes his oath more seriously now than when he was a deserter.

Tossed out about the time of Grenada, for which he would have possibly deployed…
Side note; this is why I am so leery of Oath Keepers, and Militia types. So many of them have turned out to be utter frauds and or embellishers, and their elevators don’t even get out of the basement.
So, GFY Timothy Daniel Foley you deserting coward.

    • Nobody’s “elevator” goes all the way up if they sacrafice giving up their personal lives to join the military to defend sick fucks like you! Then again, I don’t see your ass out here doing ANYTHING either? So? GEAR-UP and get your ass out her of just STFU, loud-mouthed pissant.

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Ooh, a new squeaky chew toy! Hey Gregory Romeau, GFY sideways with rusty concertina wire wrapped in asbestos. Most of the TAH Regulars are Vets who honorably served, NOT wannabes like you and Timothy Daniel Foley!

  2. Ex-PH2 says:

Oh, I get it. He didn’t like taking orders. He wanted to give them, but didn’t get to, so he quit, but got caught. So now he’s trying to bust chops on the border.

I’m more than a bit concerned with these vigilante groups.

Hey, is that “Tex (Just keep hitting me, I’m not stupid enough yet) Cobb?

Still waiting for another come-back fight, this time against Frazier over a burger grill.

      • GDContractor says:

Dude looks like Nick Cage in Raising Arizona don’t ya think? That’s why I brought Tex into the mix.

  4. sapper3307 says:

YES! Did somebody say 307th Engineer’s?

  5. GDContractor says:

Two words for Abner here. One begins with the letter “n” and the other begins with the letter “t”.

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

I’m working on it…nothing yet. Can I buy a vowel?

      • GDContractor says:

Sorry. All I can divulge is that if you were an MCPO Ret. you would have already solved it. Play some show tunes on the phonograph and dwell on it, you might figure it out. 😉

    • sapper3307 says:

Nasty!!! the 618 light Equipment company.
They almost always had a squads worth of troops on ED for a little something you cant do in the Army.

  6. Dapandico says:

He has to be legit, Rolling Stones did a story on him.

  7. 2/17 Air Cav says:

Yeah, he blames Mexicans for his construction job layoff and the loss of his house to foreclosure. Okie-dokie. That’s good enough for me. Victim. Not his fault. Not the depressed housing market. Not that he was willing to do other things to pay his bills. Not that he, perhaps, bought more house than he could afford. Jeez. And I wonder who built that house he lost.

  8. CLAW131 says:

Good to see those Stateside Swaps that used to run in the Army Times worked out for him.

Bragg to Ord. Sounds like a sweet deal.

I think they got his nickname wrong, though.

Instead of “Nailer”, it’s supposed to be “Nailee”.

    • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

Probable connoisseur of the “cockmeat sammich” with extra “special” mayo.

  9. David says:

“Nailer” – he think he’s some kindof super-sniper too like “Bob (The Nailer) Lee Swagger of the Stephen Hunter books and “Shooter” movie?

  10. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

    A LITTLE ABOUT US
AZBR consists of former military, law enforcement and private security Americans unified under a guiding principle: service. Our team took an oath, and that oath is taken seriously. Highly trained, highly motivated, we’ve come together under a common goal; continuing the service to our fellow citizens has no greater honor for us.

What part of the oath covers desertion? I’ve no quarrel with their desire to aid in securing the border, but that tripe about their honor rings hollow when the record is reviewed. 19 months and E-1 means he got a shitbag discharge….hardly the qualifications of an honorable man.

I would have a modicum of respect for him if he had been honest and stated clearly he was a lousy soldier as a young man and is now looking to make up for that by serving his fellow citizens as a volunteer to aid in border security.

Hard bitten veteran indeed, more like self destructive assclown looking to get right with karma…tell the truth sad sack and move on. That’s honorable, and that’s infinitely defensible. Lying about what you were and what you did, doesn’t advance your dialogue.

Booger-eating bedwetting candyassed Sparkle Pony of a dingleberry on a Swamp Donkey’s ass! Another wannabe badass you’d see reading a copy of “Soldier of Fortune” in a bookstore while wearing camo thinking it makes him look like some tough guy, fuck that creampuff sideways with a broken baseball bat wrapped in asbestos!

  12. ChipNASA says:

    Everyone follow me closely here….:

    Photo, ENLARGE!!!

Does this dickbag have a tattoo of a Tactical Throat Microphone on his neck? REALLY???

/or is that some kind of Texas, Lasso, BDSM Sub, Broney “I-take-it-in-the-ass”, loser marking for his Bros??

    • Jarhead says:

The tattoo he has on his neck if a pre-requisite for wearing the Elvis sideburns that come down to nearly the mouth on each side. Elvis would not let this poser live were he around today!

  15. Donald Wood says:

You have to wonder about any vigilante claiming to be ex-military. If you have an RE-1 discharge, combat experience, modest physical shape (including minor disabilities), and a clean police record then the government wants you. You could be hired into border police, INS, and customs easily. Most ex-military have adapted well to civilian life that is better paid, no deployments, and calm. This is why we stay civilians. Those that want excitement can still be reserve, NG or Dyncorp.

  16. Eden says:

I guess Gregory Romeu just found out that his boy, Timothy Daniel Foley, is Google famous and now he wants in on the fun.
