Shaun Wisemore; Ranger phony

| March 3, 2016

Shaun Wisemore1

Someone sent us their work on this Shaun Wisemore fellow who operates a business in Texas, Tactical Defense Shooting. Of course, because of the nature of his business, he needed to demonstrate some kind of military expertise, so this is what his website used to say about his experience;

Shaun Wisemore claims

Pretty impressive, huh? Well wait until you read his resume;

Shaun Wisemore resume claim

Shaun Wisemore resume claims

Well, he got the word that we were coming for him, so he altered the website;

Shaun Wisemore edit

It’s still wrong, though. Here’s what the Army says about his career;

Wisemore DD214

He had two years of service – it looks like he was injured in training for his military occupational specialty (MOS) 14S – an Avenger crewman. Air Defense Artillery, not Infantry, not Ranger, not “higher units”. The Separation Code indicates that he was disabled somehow and his last assignment was a Medical Hold Company, it looks like he was injured during his training to be an Avenger crewman, because the DD214 says that he has no time working in his MOS.

It’s probably not his fault that he wasn’t able to complete his military service, but it is his fault that he tried to deceive people into thinking that they were being trained by someone who had experience at the practical application of the training he was providing.

He has experience “Handling money,” asking people, “Did you find everything all right?” and, best of all, seasoning chicken wings. Now, I ask you, with a record like that, who needs to embellish?

    • Green Thumb says:

      Word.

From bicycle parts, to chicken wings, to “high risk” security sites to handling money.

Fucking squared away. This dude is a jack of all trades; a one-size-fits-all utility employee. Richard Dean Anderson does not have shit in this clown.

I can only imagine All-Points Logistics is drooling as we speak.

In reality, though, I imagine the only thing this turd handles are balls and the only thing he ever seasoned were some nuts.

    • Usafvet509 says:

Yep, that oughta be all he needs to teach me how to shoot straighter lol

    • USMCMSgt(Ret) says:

Blackwater from 2000 to Present, while working at Home Depot, Buffalo Wild Wings and Cycle Gear in between.

      Fuck yeah!

      • HMCS(FMF) ret. says:

While in the service as a sekrit skwirrl special feces rump riding ranger… dude is all no speed, all drag!

      • Snotcrow says:

Not to mention juggling Blackwater and the US Army side by side for 8 years?! That actually IS impressive. I mean did Blackwater accept him only working 3-4 weeks a year then?

        • HMCS(FMF) ret. says:

He was on sooper sekrit TDY orders written for him on flash paper… so no one would know what he was doing there and they would spontaneously combust when he left the service!

    • Bobo says:

How do you get a gig with Blackwater while simultaneously serving with 2/75(RGR) and “higher units”?

    • Bill M says:

      You want fries with that?

  2. IDC SARC says:

    Kewl duds brah

  3. MGB says:

All these “Ranger Ricks” need to be handed a parachute, loaded on a C 130 taken to about 5000 feet and allow them to demonstrate their expertise. Of course I am joking but these guys are a major reason I rarely tell anyone I retired from the Army. I just say I worked for the government.

  4. nbcguy54ACTUAL says:

    Army push-ups and sit-ups.

    Impressive.

Now drop and give me 20, ya fuckin maggot!!

  5. thebesig says:

Shaun Wisemore, Google hit, just couldn’t be proud of the fact that he earned the Army Service Ribbon. Sheesh, some people’s kids. SMH. 🙄

  6. O-4E says:

Called and left a message about wanting to contract for some “Army KP duty” training

    https://www.facebook.com/shaun.wisemore

  11. HMCS(FMF) ret. says:

Even after the edit, still can’t get the fucking story straight… 30 months service morphs into 10 years? Must be the “Stolen Valor Math” that posers use to make up their “service”.

Bet you guys that he has 10 years of “service” at the local truck stop, IYKWIMAITYD!

  12. Dapandico says:

He includes KP duty in his updated experience and failed to include shit burner.

  13. AskaMarine says:

Is it his shirt or does this guy have “Man Boobs”?

  14. Chris says:

I’m glad this has finally come to light.

    Long overdue.

  15. cato says:

But, but…..he’s got dark sunglasses, a beard and one of those scary black carbines….he’s just gotta be real.

I mean don’t all true warriors start their military careers at Home Depot?

    I could be wrong. 🙂

    • OldManchu says:

There is so much of that beard tactical shot going around it makes me fucking vomit. As for the real vets – do whatever you want. But I have seen some real pussies over the past 5 years morph into these range lizard tactical dress tactical talk “badasses.” Never set foot into the MEPS station but now they want this cool “vet look”. Should have just served your country and moved on when you had the chance.

  16. Skippy says:

Less then 1% at anytime are serving… less 10 % have,
why shit all over what you have done ????

And for God Sake Stop it with the Cris Kyle Look a like pic, on your web page be your self Lol….

  17. Crusty CW3 says:

Here is the Facebook page for his “school”.

    https://www.facebook.com/tacticaldefenseshooting/

  18. gitarcarver says:

Did Clippy help him doing pushups and on KP?

  19. Jack_Da_Fart_Ripper says:

“Cry Stinger,” and let slip the dogs of stolen valor

  20. Jarhead says:

Looks like a damned street begging wino, experience includes pumping up bicycle tires, cooking chicken, and loading lumber in people’s trucks. What could possibly go wrong with him around? Face it, if you are likely to be attacked by 1. A Walmart sporting goods employee 2. A hamburger flipper from Mickey D’s or 3. A Lowe’s lumber loader (LLL)…then this is your guy. I say give him the important job of protecting Shillery. After all, she DESERVES this kind of superior protection!

  21. Brandon F says:

Well his yelp is still up…..tactical defense shooting.

  22. NR Pax says:

I see that MEAL Team 6 lost a good one there.

  23. FatCircles0311 says:

Damn everyone in the US army is a ranger it seems. Beard, check. Baseball cap, check, frog top, check. Sun glasses, check. Confirmed badass ranger!

  24. BrandonF says:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBhgyAZ4-uM

5:18- he is combat effective up to 300yds with a pistol……

    • JH says:

If you drop a pistol from 300yds up and hit someone on the ground with it.

    • teddy996 says:

Holy shit, what a fucking douchebag.

You can tell that the other dude gives him a good wtf face, because ‘ol Shaun says “I am” and then repeats the claim a couple of times while looking at him.

Everyone there probably knows the real reason Shaun carries four pistol mags is because that style of tandem mag pouches were the only ones in stock when he went to Rambo-R-Us to get his rig.

How in the hell did anyone there seriously buy into his bullshit?

  25. Combat Historian says:

Dude fucked up; he should’ve claimed he served with The Avengers (and not go into any more details…)

  26. David says:

funny think, no address on that web site so apparently this is on-line only. His partner instructor claims to be “Metro SWAT”… never seen that term here, just HPD SWAT. I think by the paces they recommend they are NE of Houston in the Kingwood area.

  27. Tony180a says:

Assigned to JTF6 as an instructor of what?? Guess he picked that up when he was at Avenger training at Ft Bliss. He deserves every bit of fame and publicity he is about to get.

  28. Mike says:

I’m glad he updated his resume with his US Army KP duty experience. If I ever need help with my tactical potato peeling, he’s my guy!

  29. Daisy Cutter says:

Full disclosure: I took some training with Wisemore’s company. I’m a better person for it, so I CHOOSE not to think that I got less than professional instruction least I cheapen my experiences.

    • Hack Stone says:

What’s the casualty radius on a peeled Idaho baked potato?

      • Daisy Cutter says:

No easy answer. Wind, terrain, distance all play a factor.

On top of that I’ve had to break out a calculator for onions and farts since you have to factor in Brownian Motion.

  30. streetsweeper says:

Well, well, well…Shaun done been caught. Have fun ‘splaining yourself to Texas Law Enforcement now, asshat. Bwahahahaha.

  31. Hack Stone says:

It seems that a lot of “special forces veterans” gravitate to the food handling industry upon completion of their tours. Who could ever forget the Navy SEAL working at Olive Garden? And that panty-waisted flake from Arizona (maybe New Mexico) that had a career at McDonald’s. These guys proudly serve (hot French Fries) when others are unwilling.

    • HMCS(FMF) ret. says:

Must have been the flick “Under Siege” that has turned so many spec ops guys into cooks. Guess they have this idea that they can bake a cake and some good looking blond with the boobehs will jump out of it…

    • Claw says:

Or they could be like Flemron or Sticky Bums and be in the food handling industry while serving their tours in Special Forces or Force Recon.

  32. texas12b says:

yall need to check out all his high speed videos on youtube feel free to leave comments. I have. https://www.youtube.com/user/shaunwisemore

    • Brandon F says:

He keeps deleting my comments….he has done it all day…

    • Airdale (AW) USN says:

That’s great training by this guy!! Looks like everyone have their finger on the trigger!! I don’t remember that part when I was in security, fingers off until you ready to do a double tap center mass.

    • Steve says:

      Sweet Jesus….

What in the name of Odin’s Raven are they doing……..

    • Bobo says:

What on God’s green MFing earth are they doing? If I were with a shooting instructor who was explain the training evolution as “when you move past me and are between me and the targets, I am going to fire at the target and past you” I’d start packing my stuff up right there.

I’m also wondering about the tactical prowess of someone who trains people to run down a wide open road to move between covered and concealed positions instead of moving THROUGH THE TREELINE to get to the OBJ.

    • thebesig says:

WTF! Was the first impression I had when I saw that video. Some guy, running without a battle buddy, or without a group of battle buddies, without tactically moving towards the objective, in the middle of the kill zone, to hide behind a barrel also in the kill zone, then to take a knee and shoot within the kill zone, when he could’ve conserved his energy and moved quietly through the woods, tactically and with battle buddies, in order to hopefully catch the “targets” by “surprise”.

It also looked like the targets would’ve had cover and concealment from which to kill him and his retarded instructor had this been a real world scenario.

Running with weights was retarded in this exercise, as that’s something that you have to build into and sustain via an ongoing PT program that you could beef up into a PT event that incorporates battlefield movement problems, prior to doing STX and FTX out in the lanes.

The emphasis should’ve focused on basics and worked up so that the basics could be incorporated with the later training.

But again, Shaun Wisemore, Google hit, only had Basic Combat Training/One Station Unit Training, during a period preceding the War on Terror… An event that was going to lead to a bunch of changes incorporating lessons learned from GWOT into BST/OSUT since Shaun Wisemore left the military.

It must pain the Wisemore family that the sap in their family tree isn’t living up to their family name. 🙄

    • spd0302 says:

I know I am over a month behind on this one, but I just watched that video….

HOLY SHIT!!!! That is beyond insane!
I hope this clown is now famous and permanently out of business.

  33. joshdat says:

Well if anything his page is getting veiws now but he can’t un-fuck all the people he duped out of money going to his classes with his fake qualies. Bet that lying leprechaun doesn’t show up to that range again

  34. Smaj says:

How many clueless dolts has this POS conned out of their money? The Army push up/sit up/KP on his website is a put on, right?

    • texasguy says:

No, another person changed that and he doesn’t use the website anymore. He’s made 10s of thousands plus that on free gear

      • J.M. says:

Shit, meant to click reply and hit ‘report’. My bad.

And someone with the screenname TDS2 has been posting class schedules for this company on AR15.com with the link to that website and their facebook page as recent as last month.

I took the liberty of posting a link to this blog over there. Plenty of shooters will see what this guy is really about.

  35. texasguy says:

Everybody can calm down, when I first heard this news a while back I asked him about it, he told me people can think what they want, because he was on TOP SECRET missions with JTF 4 in and out of Mexico and that’s why you can’t anything about him and that would never be on his DD-214 what he really did

  36. Dennis - not chevy says:

Is KP still assigned as a detail? I have heard that KP requires a food handler’s card and is no longer assigned outside of basic training.

  37. Blaster says:

How could be in the US Army and work for Blackwater at the same time? ( check the resume’)

I’d like to see him tell some 2nd Batt. Guys that there are “higher units”. That would be a fun sight to see.

  38. Green Thumb says:

Turd Bolling at Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency in Memphis, TN would hire this guy.

  39. bjs says:

If this guy’s qualified as a KP, I think I’ll stick to MREs

  40. Silentium Est Aureum says:

    Ranger? Rump ranger, more like.

  41. Jdc1980 says:

Sewn a lot of leoe vets included coned by this dude glad to see he finally got what he deserves. I know he lied his ass off to me enough and cond me my family friends both Leo and military and contractors.
Fuck this piece of shit. Wish it would have came out way sooner and saved people a lot of wasted time and money!

  42. Bubba says:

This dude worked at NOV a couple years back and when he could not run a cnc machine he faked an injury( or purposely injured himself) so proceded to collect a check while wearing a sling to work every for months until i think he was finally layed off. Dude is the biggest liar ever

  43. Bfarmer says:

This turd just had my yelp reviewed removed….. Hahahahahaha

    • Green Thumb says:

      Let me guess.

he did not like the comment you left about the way he seasoned his chicken wings…

      • Brandonf says:

Lol yes…I was hoping it would stick on there. Oh well I will just write the same thing as soon as they take it off

  44. Paul says:

Lol, he went from editing some of his lies, to shutting down his website altogether. http://www.tacticaldefenseshooting.com/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi

Couldn’t take the heat after being exposed?

    Look at his Yelp reviews:
    https://www.yelp.com/biz/tactical-defense-shooting-magnolia

  45. CS says:

Huge thanks to Brandon F on here who showed me who Shaun truly was. I am the other guy in most of the videos with Shaun and ran his school for the past 7 months. Full disclosure…I was never LE or MIL and have never claimed to be. Just a regular civilian who enjoys training and firearms. I was looking for an opportunity to get in the firearms business someway which is how I got hooked up with Shaun. I took him for face value and did question him from time to time since some of the stuff he said and did made no sense at all. Wherein he would throw out some “its classified..or, I don’t like to talk about my past” BS. I didn’t really press the issue until this information came out in which I have completely separated myself from him. I have notified all former students and contacts to his true colors in the hopes that nobody will get duped again. You guys got to him bad in which he took down the FB page and let the website expire. I was the one who took down the youtube videos since I was the one making them and didn’t want any type of association with him anymore. He was the one who deleted the comments. and yes, he did in fact make money off of stolen valor.
Thanks to you all for ratting this guy out and exposing him. You Vets already deal with enough shit as it is.
If you do see my again in some youtube videos or social media, please note that I have gone off on my own and am doing my own thing. I still want to get good information out to the public regarding firearms, training, gear etc…
thanks again to everyone who got on his ass and especially to Brandon F for answering all my questions on this fool.

    • AskaMarine says:

      CS,

THANK YOU for your comments and support.

Means a lot to read this. Jonn and others put up with a lot of S$!T from dirtbags such as Shaun as well as their enablers/supporters.

Welcome again to TAH. It takes courage for what you did as well as posting here. There are so many on TAH that have that same courage and fortitude to tell the truth.

Phonies are yellow belly cowards who definitely have a Personality Disorder. And what is worse, they have others who believe their BS and defend them on TAH. Yet, when confronted with the truth on TAH, those supporters go quiet or into the Cricket Mode.

Thanks again for standing up for the truth and supporting TAH.

      Thank you again.

    • TheLoneCivilian says:

And during that whole time, he was collecting unemployment from a common employer. This dude is the lowest of lows.

  46. Sorensen25 says:

Uh oh, he’s the got the operator beard and baseball cap, so you know he had to have been SOF or something.

I will seriously high five and forgive the first Stolen Valor guy who lies about being a cook or some other innocuous yet more believable job.

  47. Smitty says:

KP duty? He listed KP duty as a qualification?

  48. BrandonF says:

Looks like he is popping his head back up!!!!

    • Green Thumb says:

      Then step on it.

This dude is becoming a serial turd.

I am surprised in that I would have thought he a had a “good” job at All-Points Logistics.

      • BrandonF says:

I would love to just step on him but I have a feeling that I would probably go to jail.
