    First!! F5 you Muthas!!

    • HMCS(FMF) ret says:

How many times have you been first??? I’m thinking the Interwebs thingy is rigged by you zoomies or you is running with SATAN!!!

      • ChipNASA says:

My first first of 2017 was two weeks ago and then I think Mick had it last week so this may be my second first.
Usually only when I’m having a late lunch at my desk between 12 and 2 is the only way I’m ever even close.
        Dumb Luck

        • Mick says:

          Chip:

S took the prize last week.

Will he show up this afternoon to genuflect and hand over the WOT crown and scepter?

          • S says:

            Her I is, Mick!
Even though because of a major blunder on my part that only the “S” showed up in the “First” page, I will hereby hand over the keys of the throne to ChipNASA.

Scepter? Damn, I thought you meant “sepulchre”!

Oh well. ChipNASA I extend to you this laurel…….and hardy handshake.

            You da man!

        • HMCS(FMF) ret says:

          Congrats, Zoomie…

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

In my lifetime, The Babe’s single-season HR fell, as did his lifetime HR record. I saw the upstart Jets beat the unbeatable Colts in Super Bowl III. I saw Secretariat destroy his competition to win the Triple Crown in 1973, after 24 consecutive years w/o a Triple Crown champ. And now this, the first ever WOT threepeat. Years from now, thousands—perhaps tens of thousands–will swear they were here this day to witness this event. The record will show otherwise. But I can say: “I was there and saw it happen, the Dickweed WOT Threepeat. ”

  3. Hack Stone says:

Shit! Shit! Shit! Missed it by “that much”.

    • Hack Stone says:

I was going to dedicate my Weekend Open Thread First To Post to the safe return of Elaine Ricci. Now she will never come home.

  4. HMCS(FMF) ret says:

    PRESENT

    • HMCS(FMF) ret says:

Hey… anyone heard from MCPO lately? Seems like he’s dropped out of sight, or is he posting under another name?

      Hope he’s doing well…

      • The Stranger says:

I’m pretty sure he’s posting under another name right now… I think I know the other name but I’ll keep it close to the vest for now.

      • Just An Old Dog says:

Oh, pretty sure he is around. He is probably in the Goat Locker right now working on his third pot of coffee and putting the finishing touches on polishing off our favorite fake CPO.

  5. Ex-PH2 says:

    Accounted for.

  6. Mick says:

    Dammit.

  7. Eden says:

Well, top ten today. Better than usual.

  8. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Physically present and I once again lay claim to Honorary First as I fetch myself some more coffee.

    • OWB says:

Coffee? That sounds good. Could you pass me cup, please?

Oh, never mind. Keep forgetting that there is one of those thermal carafe thingies attached to my coffee maker now. Stays nice and hot all day without being cooked beyond recognition.

Ahhh. Yes. Thanks, API, for the very good idea.

  9. Frankie Cee says:

While a friend of mine is shoveling snow in Larmaie Wyoming today, I am doing some work on a fence around one of the pens here at the place, shirtless, wearing shorts, and sandals. Life is great in the Northwest Florida Panhandle.
And, STOLEN VALORIST/SERIAL POSER KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN is carefully skirting dating sites, and using Instagram to seek out his next victim(s). He uses the User Name of Klutch_Reborn these days. One of those who also keep tabs on him correctly predicted that he would use either Kyle or Klutch as a first name. What a piece of shit.

    • Frankie Cee says:

If anyone who mentions him in comments, here or elsewhere, would use his name, it will go to google, and possibly alert others that he is out there.

      • Wilted Willy says:

Keep up the good work Frankie, we can always have hope the dumbass will hang himself once again! Didn’t they ban him from social media as part of his release? I sure hope they did!!!

        • ChipNASA says:

Yep, I was about to ask the exact question. Isn’t this a violation of his probation or release?

      • OWB says:

You mean we should mention the name KLUTCH REBORN or the name KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWIN, or both names: KLUTCH REBORN aka KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWIN?

Either way works for me. Let’s see what the courts have to say about it. Should be good.

        • OWB says:

Oops – typed BARWIN instead of BARWAN. Then again, his name (or one of the names he uses) is KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWIN, isn’t it? This KLUTCH REBORN is a new alias, right?

      • Skippy says:

KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN Is a Poser
KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN Is a Stloen Valor QUEEN
I just Dumped a KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN in the toilet

    • ex-OS2 says:

KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN is a cocksucker.

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

So is surfing social networking sites in violation of his probation? I’m not surprised, I’m sure that KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN aka Klutch_Reborn will soon again be a part of Bubba & Thor’s little harem.

    • Frankie Cee says:

If KYLE BARWAN, aka KLUTCH_REBORN is sucking air, he is scamming or planning to scam. When I went on Facebook this morning I had a message and a screen shot of a message that a girl sent to Barwan. It read, in part:
“…this morning you defile the memory of our military family and our fallen soldiers by claiming you are on leave, you are about to deploy for 18 months, you are Special Forces, you’ve served 5 or 6 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and you are here on leave to help the homeless? Oh, also you’ve swam the English Channel to France, which is in your millionaire moms backyard because she owns the largest franchise in England and Germany? (This was all spat at me in 10 minutes as I sat with my daughter at the park.)”

      • Ex-PH2 says:

Wow, KYLE BARWAN, aka KLUTCH_REBORN just doesn’t know when to quit, does he, Frankie?
Someone needs to re-educate him in a dark alley some day.

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Day-um, is KYLE BARWAN aka Klutch_Reborn gonna even last a week on the outside before he gets himself arrested for Violation of Probation?

    • Sparks says:

KYLE CHRISTOPHER BARWAN, the cocksmoker that can’t get off his knees.

  10. Ret_25X says:

  12. Roh-Dog says:

  13. Skippy says:

I self identify as FIRST !!!!!

    BHWHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!

    Present and accounted for

  14. Ex-PH2 says:

Okay, I have something to read and critique for someone else. I also have chapters of my own to finish, and I will make a batch of chocolate chip cookies.

Standard Toll House recipe, substitute DARK BROWN sugar for regular brown sugar, and use TWO teaspoons of vanilla instead of one.

    Egg and bacon pie:
9 inch piecrust in a piepan.
Beat 4 eggs and add 1 cup of 1/2 and 1/2 or 2% milk. Season the eggs, don’t overdo it.
Layer the following in the piecrust:
    Minced ham or cooked bacon
    Shredded cheese (any flavors)
any other stuffs you like, e.g., sauteed onion or tomatoes or whatever

Pour the beaten eggs over the cheese filling mixture, put a foil wrap around the piecrust edge, bake for 30 minutes at 350F. (Might be less if your oven runs warm, but test it. And keep an eye on it.)
Cut it into servings, plate it with hashbrowns with onion, crisp bacon and English muffins (lots of jam), OJ/Tomato juice, coffee or tea or whatever.

    Glad the weekend is here!

    • ex-OS2 says:

      Sounds delicious, thank you Ex-PH2!

    • Wilted Willy says:

That sounds so good! What time do we eat??

    • Mick says:

(Mick peeks around the corner in Ex-PH2’s kitchen; speaks in a whisper)

      Psssssssssst! Ex-PH2!

Whatever you do, don’t let this mob of incorrigible knuckleheads know that that egg and bacon pie is the same thing as a quiche!

It does sound pretty darn good.

      Bon Appetit!

      • ex-OS2 says:

But, but….I thought it was egg and bacon pie?

        All these years. Pffttt.

      • Ex-PH2 says:

I have learned to not use THAT WORD around this bunch of manly men, Mick. They probably don’t like the word ‘frittata’, either, but it’s a hash of potatoes and lots of other stuff (including smoked sausage) with beaten eggs poured over them, cooked in a skillet and finished with a little shredded cheese on top.

Or if you don’t want the potatoes, it’s whatever fillings you like with beaten eggs poured over them.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

Helpful baking hint: if a recipe says something is done when a toothpick or broomstraw poked into it comes out clean, use a short length of spaghetti or other long pasta instead. Half a length of an uncooked spaghetti strand will reach the bottom of a cake pan or whatever. The dry pasta will let uncooked wet stuff stick to it.

Dahell happened to MCPO NYC USN (Ret.) anyway?

      • 2/17 Air Cav says:

That wasn’t supposed to be a reply HMCS. Sorry ’bout that.

        • Just An Old Dog says:

Pretty sure he is around. :). The DRG should be the ones sweating. When you piss off a Sr Enlisted and they seem to be laying low its because they are consuming copious amounts of coffee and figuring out how to fix your little red wagon.

          • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Not just MCPO NYC, they decided to screw with The Chief’s Mess and I’ve always heard in no uncertain terms that’s a great way to bring copious misery on oneself!

I’m all stocked up on beer, nachos and popcorn in the meantime.

      • ChipNASA says:

He’s working and lurking I understand.

        • 2/17 Air Cav says:

Good. Good. I miss that crazy mick sometimes. I always enjoyed trying to decode his messages.

  22. Aysel says:

top whatever number…:) supposed to be 70 today here in the PNW, it’s the longest we’ve gone in the spring will our first 70 degree day since sometime in the 50’s….yea…

    • Perry Gaskill says:

Refresh my memory since I haven’t lived in the PNW in a few years. Is a nice day still defined as two hours of sun between the other 22 hours of rain?

    • Skippy says:

We are expecting 100 down here in hell north of the border enjoy the 70s

This 2015 is about a guy in a wingsuit setting a record for wingsuit flight. Yeah, he’s a retired SEAL, and there’s a movie, too. He was doing it as a fundraiser.

I will never understand this impulse to jump out of perfectly good airplanes.

    https://www.wired.com/2015/11/flying-navy-seal-soars-a-world-record-18-miles-in-a-wingsuit/

    • Tallywhagger says:

I didn’t think a Cessna Caravan could go that high.

      Hell YES I’d do that!

    • AW1Ed says:

I jumped out of perfectly good aircraft, with every intention of getting back into it! That being said, here’s my favorite wing suit video, Jeff Corliss in “Grinding the Crack.”

  27. farmgirl with a mosin nagant says:

So for those of y’all who like interesting music and will be in range of Seattle June 2-4, I have made the mistake of displaying competence and been handed the responsibility of promoting a music festival.

Naturally, the first thing I did was to talk them into arranging a military discount (for both pre-sale tickets and at the door) which they’re figuring out how to code up now. I’ll gladly pass along details if folks are interested but don’t want to break any rules by getting too specific in this. Let me know if it’s okay, Jonn et al!

  28. Hondo says:

This just in: per the State Bar of California, Daniel A. Bernath IS STILL DISBARRED.

If anyone is interested, the reason why may be found here.

It also appears that yet another judge has decided to give DAB a well-deserved “kutomba wewe” shout-out – though the result of this latter case appears to be under appeal.

    Yo, Danni-boi:

“Inquisitive fox is inquisitive” is now my screen saver. Thanks, Jonn.

  30. Sparks says:

Well the traveling is over for a LONG while I imagine. April 7th the wife unit tripped up both feet on the leg of a folding table and landed on her left side. Broke her left wrist and the head of her left femur. One surgeon said it was best to go ahead and do a total hip replacement because it canted the femur head and lost blood supply for too long and the hand surgeon put a plate in from her radius to the metacarpal bone on her second finger. She’s up and moving with a walker but the plate has to stay for 90 days for the bones to heal correctly. So she’s a one handed cripple at this point. You know, if I’ve said to her once, I’ve said it a thousand times, “honey, watch your feet, you’re gonna trip on that, or this or your own feet, so be careful please.”

So I am playing nurse, cook, laundry boy, bath aide, butler and ladies dressing aide.

When she heals up, in September I’m sending her off to Ecuador to visit her friend so I can get some relief.

But the in home PT and OT has been good and next week she starts out patient PT. I mean she’s the one who’s all messed up so I shouldn’t sound like I’m complaining.

What was it I said way back when, “For better or worse, in sickness and in health”. I guess it’s one of those times to step up, ruck up and move out towards the mission ahead.

    • HMCS(FMF) ret says:

      You’re a good man, Sparks…

    • Hondo says:

Give your spouse my best, Sparks. Hopefully she’ll have a speedy and full recovery.

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Bummer to hear that, Sparks. I hope for her to have a speedy and complete recovery.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

You’re a good guy, Sparks. Please give your wife my deepest sympathies because I’ve had friends go through replacing both knees or new hip stuff, and it is NO fun, period.

    • Graybeard says:

Real men follow through on their vows when we say the “for better, for worse” part.
      Good job, Sparks.

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

“So I am playing nurse, cook, laundry boy, bath aide, butler and ladies dressing aide.” Cook? Dahell you say!

  31. HMCS(FMF) ret says:

Some more interesting news from the People’s Republic of Bezerkestan… the mayor has some “friends”:

    http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2017/04/21/berkeley-mayor-is-member-of-antifa-facebook-group-that-organized-riots/

I’m wondering if just maybe the mayor can be sued by local businesses for damages incurred during the “peaceful” demonstrations?

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

He’s the Mayor of Berzerkely CA, I’m sure that news will help him get reelected with the liberal freak vote.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

In a righteous world, I would say, yes, that mayor can be personally sued for such damages. However, the Land of Fruits and Nuts is not necessarily a righteous world, is it? It’s more of a Leftious world, which may be coming to an untimely end.

Businesses will not stay in a place where they are under constant attack by mobs and thugs.

      • Ex-PH2 says:

Oh, I missed an opportunity to point out the obvious: if Berserkley the town is bereft of business and the campus of the UC/B is so awash in antisocial groups that no one can attend classes there, what do you think will happen to the whole place? Yeah, it’ll become a ghost of its former self.

  32. Graybeard says:

    Present.
While yall were trying to be first we were enjoying our brand new San Jacinto Day granddaughter. 8lbs 1 ox and 21 inches. Her mother must be Superwoman in disguise because she endured more than 55 hours in constant labor.
Also the Mrs and I were celebrating our 43rd year of wedded bliss.
I’ll give up WOT 1st/Top Ten for that.

  33. Ex-PH2 says:

Here’s a video regarding the upcoming first round of French elections this next week. It appears that Marine LePen has the Big Boys a bit scared. It will also give you a chance to practice your French skills here and there.
The other side of that coin is that LaFarge, the head of the IMF says that if LePen is elected and proceeds with Frexit, it will ‘destroy Europe’ or something to that effect. She’s upset because there hasn’t been a war in Europe for 70 years but doesn’t seem to have a real good grasp of history, either.

  36. 2/17 Air Cav says:

“[NYC]Mayor Bill de Blasio is proposing free, full-day pre-kindergarten for all 3-year-old children in New York by the fall of 2021. The new plan is referred to 3-K for All. It will get youngsters into an environment that supports their academic and social development a year earlier when they are young, impressionable and ready to grow.”

That’s sick. Three-year olds in school? Yeah, the earlier they can be brainwashed, the better for these sick phuks. ‘Okay, boys, girls, and undecideds, let’s watch Bert and Ernie’s Honeymoon. Afterwards, we’ll watch an old but really important film called An Inconvenient Truth. Tomorrow, we have a special fun guest from something called Planned Parenthood. And, remember, guns are bad. Guns are very, very bad.”
