From Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota;

A man who was trying to rob a Verizon Wireless store in Inver Grove Heights on Thursday morning was shot by a clerk during an exchange of gunfire, police said.

The man, who is believed to be in his mid to late 20s, has several gunshot wounds and was taken by ambulance under police custody to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Lt. Joshua Otis said. His condition is unknown.

A male accomplice who fled the store after the shooting remains at large.

From DeKalb County, Georgia;

The DeKalb County medical examiner is trying to identify the body of an intruder who was shot and killed last month after breaking into a Lithonia home…According to police, the man entered a home on Beachwood Forest Drive…“The homeowner gave him a warning,” DeKalb police Lt. Lonzy Robertson told Channel 2 Action News at the time. “The suspect continued to approach, at which time the homeowner fired one shot.”

In Joplin, Missouri, Jordan A. Logan, 27, robbed a convenience store, firing his rifle about ten times until the female clerk took his gun from him and surrendered it to police waiting outside. Young Logan resisted arrest, so police had to rough him up a little bit.

    Heh….I know where that Verizon store is…nice to see that the Clerk was unwilling to comply.

    As for Mr Logan; not only did the young lady disarm you, you were met my the Po Po welcoming committee on the way out….nice

    Rough him up a little bit? Very little, from the looks of it. He either got off easy, or was smart (not necessarily intelligent) enough to stop struggling early. I’ve seen worse posted on this site, where the perp’s face was unrecognizable.
