David Barnes; phony SEAL

| November 1, 2017 | 25 Comments

Our partners at Military Phonies send us their work on David Barnes because you can never have too many phony SEALs. He claims that he was a SEAL in Vietnam;

Military Phonies summarizes his duty with the Navy;

Based on Dave’s summary sheet, he did just over 3 years, 11 months, 9 days of active service. Dave was discharged as an E-4, SK3 (StoreKeeper). His service record shows No BUD/S, no SEAL Team.

So if you remember how he stated earlier about being in China Beach on Christmas Eve in 1969? Let’s look at his record, on 10JUL1969 he was in Treasure Island San Francisco in “A” school for Radioman (which he failed) and then was sent to Assault Boat Coxwain school in Coronado, CA for 3 weeks of schooling. He didn’t go to Vietnam until 16MAR1970 Naval Support Activity: Danang, Republic of Vietnam (navsuppfac crb for navsuppact danang)

    What’s the deal,
    With all the phone SEALs”?
I can not begin to understand,
    The only combat
    These fakers have ever seen
    Is hand to gland.
    The End.

  2. Combat Historian says:

Oh For Fuck’s Sake, another phony SEAL…

  3. Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 says:

Looks like the phoney Seals are in the lead again. Is he from Florida?

  4. Graybeard says:

Can’t these phonies even be creative?

They are so stupid they make stupid people shake their heads at the phonies’ stupidity.

David Barnes is not a SEAL, he was a friggin Store Keeper, and probably couldn’t even stock the shelves properly.

  5. 1610desig says:

I don’t know how “fit” those early SEALs looked but the dude in the alleged China Beach photo doesn’t exactly “fit” the image I would expect…doesn’t even look like he was stocking groceries (consistent with his rate) with that upper body

  6. Claw says:

Learn something new everyday from the NPRC FOIA’s.

Reserve start date of 29 February 1973.

    Didn’t know 73 was a Leap Year.

  7. Atkron says:

Every new ‘awesome’ SEAL themed movie or TV show seems to bring a new batch of these pricks into the open.

  8. Ex-PH2 says:

That beach photo with the surf board looks an awful lot like SoCal to me. I’d bet money I can find it without too much effort.

    • AW1Ed says:

Can’t be from Viet-of-the-Nam, ’cause Charlie Don’t Surf!

    • 26Limabeans says:

If he was at Da Nang during 1970 he would have access to the beach. Yes, China beach.

The sand is not that color.
      The water is crystal blue.
      His haircut is ridiculous.
Are those dog tags on the board or a lifeguard’s whistle?
Yes, there was surfing at China Beach.
He could have made a real photo while he was there but the one shown is bullshit.
And he should have 3 bronze service stars, not the one listed if he was there most of 1970.

  9. IDC SARC says:

Barnes been shot seven times and he ain’t dead. Does that mean anything to you, huh? Barnes ain’t meant to die. The only thing that can kill Barnes is Barnes.

  10. RM3(SS) says:

Yawn. Yet another one who enlisted when many would not and even was in country but it wasn’t enough. His facebook is full of “SEAL Team 1” stuff.

A slight correction to the entry though Jonn, Radioman A school was never in Treasure Island, he failed out of RADARMAN A school-looking at blips on the scope.
We have had enough humiliation with the Senior Chief phony SEAL this week. 🙂

  11. REMF says:

You guys never heard of Secret Squirrel Storekeeper SEALS? They issue the bullets that real SEALS use to shoot the balls off a fly. Give this man the respect he is due.

  12. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

    Cocksucker.

  13. Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 says:

Looks like a real Barnes stormer.

  14. Mr. Pete says:

    Yes, those damn death threats.

  15. Green Thumb says:

I bet he was working balls on that beach….

    Felcher.

  16. The Chief says:

    He deleted his facebook. Coward!!
