Occupy terrorists

| December 31, 2012

Old Trooper sends us a link from the New York Post which reports that two Occupy Wall Street supporters were busted for having a bomb factory in their New York City Apartment;

Cops found the stash in the couple’s West Ninth Street home Saturday when they went there to look for [the privileged daughter of a prominent city doctor, Morgan] Gliedman, 27, who was wanted for alleged credit-card theft.

A detective discovered a plastic container with seven grams of a white chemical powder called HMTD, which is so powerful, cops evacuated several nearby buildings.

Police also found a flare launcher, which is a commercial replica of a grenade launcher; a modified 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun; ammo; and nine high-capacity rifle magazines, the sources said.

According to the Post, Gliedman’s baby daddy, and co-resident of the apartment, Aaron Greene, is a Harvard undergrad. But, you know, we have to get the guns away from the Tea Partiers, because they’re dangerous. Damn 1%ers.

  1. 2-17 Air Cav says:

This makes perfect sense. The Occupy this and that effort was an abject fail every which way from Sunday so what’s left? Ka-boom.

  2. Detn8r says:

Too bad they didn’t leave the shit in the window sill. HMTD gets real stabil exposed to sunlight, ;-), not!

  3. Ex-PH2 says:

    Oh, how cute.

They’re trying bring back the 70s and the days of the Weather Underground’s bomb-making factory.

Oh, gee, that takes me back….

    Can we shoot them?

  4. 2-17 Air Cav says:

    @3. Mark Rudd for President!

  5. Ex-PH2 says:

@4 – Now see, the guys who got caught making Molotov cocktails in an apartment during the Occupy protests in Chicago said it was all entrapment, they were just having a keg party. So how come the poh-lease went after them in the first place?

And that Adel Daoud guy in Chicago, back in September — well, he was the victim of a faked ‘sting’ (entrapment) by the feds.

(Snorts with laughter) Okay. Whatever. If it blows up a city block and the bad people don’t get caught, then it’s the poh-lease’s fault for not catching them. But if the bad guys get busted before they can do any damage, well it was an obvious case of entrapment.

Do you tnink maybe some of these clowns got hold of a Wayback machine and went back to the 1960s and 1970s and liked what they saw, so they brough it back here?

  6. UpNorth says:

Ex, don’t forget the Cleveland 5, they just wanted to look at the underside of a bridge, they weren’t really gonna blow it up. Just harmless fun for the “99%”. Not to mention, the fun guys who used their kids for human shields.

  7. Ex-PH2 says:

UpNorth, we should really make a list.

  8. DefendUSA says:

In CT for a funeral and I saw this in the NY Post…effing idiots thinking no one would find this…I just scratch my head and ask, why are these people not being investigated? I KNOW why but…

  9. UpNorth says:

Ex, that would require that Jonn have a separate heading and a thread for it at the top of the page.

  10. Flagwaver says:

More Occutards have been caught with actual explosives and planning acts, but they were not REALLY with Occupy. They were just using Occupy as a cover. Everyone knows that they were REALLY Tea Party plants trying to make the Tuberculosis-creating Hippies look bad.

  11. NHSparky says:

Nice to see that all those state and federal laws worked SO well to keep the shit that goes BANG and BOOM out of the hands of the bad guys…

    (Do I really need a /sarc tag?)

No doubt Bloomy will be on NY1 any minute now telling folks to “keep it in perspective.”

  12. Nik says:

They should make explosives illegal. Then we wouldn’t have problems like this.

  13. Pecos Phil says:

…”Police also found a flare launcher, which is a commercial replica of a grenade launcher;”… Where can I get one?

  14. streetsweeper says:

Thank God that the “Flare Launcher” is US Coast Guard approved!

Breech-loading 37mm flare launcher clamps securely to the bottom rail of any 7″ or longer Picatinny handguard. Lets you use 5¾” U.S. Coast Guard approved flare, smoke, or gas rounds for field operations or training. A single push of the button quickly opens the launcher to remove a spent round and insert a fresh cartridge. STZ pushbutton cylindrical breech lock is far stronger than lever locks typically used on this type of launcher. 9″ Launcher has pivoting tube that swings to the side for loading. 12″ Launcher tube slides forward for rear feed. Mounting hardware and instructions included.

  15. streetsweeper says:

er….the rounds any way. Sometimes I should bang my head on the desk…8-)

  16. OWB says:

I want one. Just because. (The lefties should just buy one for me because it’s what I want. Maybe if I form up a parade and have a couple dozen friends helping me chant, “What do we want?” with the response, “A Flare Launcher!” we could get some attention?) Besides, don’t lefties like a lot of flare?

  18. Old Trooper says:

@15: While it would be a cool gizmo to mount on the bottom of my AR, just to give the anti-gunners a fucking heart attack, it’s not worth the price of admission, along with the $200 NFA tax on top of the expensive gizmo to give them said heart attack. Maybe if I won the lottery…….

  19. UpNorth says:

OT, just buy a tube of tennis balls, empty them out, paint the tube black, and attach it. Same reaction, $12 or $13, tops.

  20. Athena says:

Historically, it’s always been the privileged elite who start terroristic movements. Che, Bin Laden, Marx, etc. We need to monitor higher ed. to ensure that these leftards never get into positions of power.

  21. streetsweeper says:

I like that UpNorth! Always thinking, one of those old school kinds of troop, lol! Athena, you would be correct. Take Billy Ayers and Bernadine Dorne (or doorknob whatever her name is)for a primo example. As for monitoring higher ed, we’d be a little too late for that. It is already upon us…

  22. 2-17 Air Cav says:

“We need to monitor higher ed. to ensure that these leftards never get into positions of power.” See November 2012 election results.

  23. OWB says:

Hey! Wonder how much $$ we could make turning in black tennis ball tubes to the LAPD? Maybe glue on a Leggo block or something, also painted black, which looks a bit like a mount of some sort. Hmmm.

  24. 2-17 Air Cav says:

    @24. UpNorth says they’ll fetch $12 or $13. See cmt 20!

  25. streetsweeper says:

@ #24- Beer Fund, maybe? Aye, aye, aye?

  26. Twist says:

    Did I hear Beer tokens????

  27. UpNorth says:

AirCav, the $12 or $13, was the cost. I’m sure the LAPD would pay the big bucks for them. Maybe $100? How much were expended AT-4 tubes going for?

  28. Ex-PH2 says:

Oooo! The Occutards are protesting outside the Chicago Metropolitcan Correctional Center to support the prisoners inside, because — you know — they’re all such innocent beings, etc., etc., etc., and the Occutards want a world without barriers and walls.

OK, fine with me, as long as it is NOT IN MY BACK YARD. Good old NIMBY. I saw a prediction a few days ago by an astronomer that an Earth-type planet within 50light years of Earth will be discovered and confirmed by 2014. We can send the Occutards there with their prison pals as soon as we can get a ship built. And before anyone points out the time and distance problem, my response is :)P

Who gives a frak? Not me.

  29. NHSparky says:

Hey, AW1 Tim–are you still having problems with unwashed Occutard hippies protesting in Portland? Seems as soon as the snow flies, so do they, straight back to mommy and daddy’s trust fund.

    Gee, what a shocker.
