Adam Daniel Franklin; WVANG phony hero

| July 2, 2014

Adam Daniel Franklin

Someone sent us some stuff on this fellow Adam Daniel Franklin from Charleston, West Virginia where he served in the West Virginia Air National Guard with 130th Airlift Wing. He served as a journeyman loadmaster on a C-130 aircraft. See his perfectly honorable career on his NGB-22 (the NG version of a DD214)

Adam Daniel Franklin NGB-22

Now, how does that stack up to his claims in this video;

Yeah, he claims that he has three Purple Hearts, that he served in Afghanistan and Iraq, that he participated in the raid to recover Jessica Lynch. Folks are telling me that he injured his back on a deployment to Saudi Arabia and was medivac’d out of the theater and eventually discharged. That seems to be supported by the NGB-22.

Screw this damn hillbilly. Has to embellish his service record just to sale a damn diet drink.

    • LIRight says:

I’m a little late seeing this – I was upstate NY at one of my hunting buddies funeral. He happened to be an honorable guy that served in the US Army during peace time. He NEVER found it necessary to inflate what he did in the military.

I am incensed after listening to this scumbag. It’s bad enough reading the crap that these ball-less scum write about themselves, but then when you hear it!!! My God what the hell is wrong with these people? I’m probably 30 years older than this bucket of tobacco spit but am absolutely certain I could and would kick his ass.

Like I said I’m late for this post, but now I feel a little better.

  2. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

Just to be fair, not all people in West Virginia are hillbillies!

I met Jonn in West Virginia and he certainley ain’t no hillbillies!

So there is one fur ya!

  4. Mustang1LT says:

Don’t know this clown, but I remember I caught a ride home from a training exercise on a plane from this unit about 9 years ago. An exaggerating Air Guardsman? GAAAAAHDAMMIT!

    • Climb to Glory says:

Tell me about it. Every Air Guard guy I’ve every met(not many to be fair)has been some air commando killer dude.

      • Maddie says:

        Stereotypes are dangerous things.
I am not an Air Guard Killer Commando or a guy. I have never claimed to be anything but what I am.

      • Mustang1LT says:

Uh, actually I was in the Air Guard at the time. No Killer Kommando here, just a damn good Engineer. And, now 9 years later, still a damn good Engineer, only now I’m Army Guard and an officer.

  5. O-4E says:

Know why he keeps leaning to the right on these photos? Like all native WVs pone leg is shorter than the other to help when running ridges.

  6. Sparks says:

I liked the part in the video when he says his shoulder was reconstructed from injuries sustained during “airborne jumps”. Kinda leaves the door with open to the imaginations of the ill informed of all things military. When you tell most civilians anything about “airborne jumps” they tend to think you were “Airborne” and were jumping out of military planes. Loadmasters…sorta…don’t do that.

  7. John "Faker 6" Giduck says:

All these guys are giving me the ass. This clown is tarnishing the good name of West Virginia which is also the state to which I decided to flee in 1993 after humping my cop killer girlfriend, Donna Yaklich, while I was defending her as my client

That story is like being on the Jessica Lynch raid, isn’t it?

    • Green Thumb says:

Dude, I know you won. I do.

But you will always be in Commander Phil Monkress’ of All-Points Logistics shadow.

Sorry. But that is just the way it is.

  8. O-4E says:

To anyone who has never had the “pleasure” of landing and taking off from Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV I highly recommend it if you ever had fantasies of landing on an aircraft carrier.

A few years ago I went down there on TDY and noticed a big ass C-17 sitting at the far end of the very small, mountain top airport. Apparently it had to make an emergency landing there and they had no idea how it was going to take off from that small ass airport. Solution? Strip out all non essential items of equipment, drain the tanks to the absolute minimum amount of fuel, put a refueler in the air over the airport and a lucky pilot and copilot gun that baby like hell. Luckily it was successful.

    • C2Show says:

While contracting in Kuwait, I made a stop in Charleston to visit some friends. It reminded me of landing at Lajes Air Field for some reason. Just seemed at a higher peak. Picked up a rental car and pretty much drove downward spiral it seemed from the airport. It was quiet unique.

    • Hondo says:

You ain’t lived until you’ve flown in and out of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport, PA.

The airport was built on a mountaintop after the top had been removed by strip mining. Literally.

    • charles w says:

Had the pleasure of our chopper landing at Toncontín International Airport in Honduras. We were there for a couple hours and I got scarred just watching the planes land. The runway had a big hill one one side and a cliff on the other. I do believe they got rid of the hill and lengthened the runway.

  9. Green Thumb says:

This man needs a hearty handshake and a warm bowl of soup.

    Fucking maggot.

  10. C-130J Loadmaster says:

    Another embellishing former C-130 Loadmaster.

Remember Soupy? Former C-130 Load. Sheesh…

    • Green Thumb says:

This dude takes some loads, alright.

Right in his one and two holes.

    • Mustang1LT says:

Who can forget Soupy? Hell, he’s the guy who originally brought me to this site way back when. You always remember your first, right? We oughta start a thread where we all tell about the first phony that brought us to this site. That should be a hoot. Perhaps in conjunction with the Tournament?

      • Dave Hardin says:

LMAO. I first came here to defend a Marine that was in Beirut. I was told this site was saying he was not there and was nit picking his military record. You can not imagine my surprise when I read the accounts of Lawton. Everyone has a right to be full of shit… a point. He went beyond that point by a good measure.

  11. Dave Hardin says:

This woman is the classic Gullible Fuck. She is so eager to support her cause she will spoon up anything this man says. She will spin the familiar cycle; he deceived me, I am outraged and embarrassed, why would anyone do this, I am the victim here. Wrong, she is the problem here. We need to hold people like her accountable for giving this man the forum to spew his nonsense. Willful ignorance does not justify a victimization.

  12. Erika says:

O-4E, 17’s land at Yeager all the time. Get your crap together. You sound like a know-it-all who knows nothing!

    • O-4E says:

Never said I knew it all asshole. You are coming to our site and running your ball washer. I’d start using your inside voice if I were you. I’m just retelling what was told to me by members of the WVANG while I was down there on TDY.

  13. AverageNCO says:

I was working as a Security Forces Augmentee at Ali Al Salem the night of the Jessica Lynch rescue. The two flying units I’m certain were involved were the 160th SOAR helicopters, and the 4th SOS AC-130 gunships providing overwatch. If there were any other 130 airframes involved in that mission I would have to believe they would have been the MC-130’s out of the 919th SOS who were also there. I can’t see a reason for a conventional airlift unit flying H models to be involved in that mission.

  14. 23Alpha. says:

So this bloke is a dip shit, with a liquid brain, and that Sheila must be an easy grab. People of this caliber need taking out on T.V, and let every one witness the demise of these fiction Heroes. The Load masters I met during my career in Cavalierly worked bloody hard and did a dam good job. With out them and their aircraft we wouldn’t have got the gear we needed. I have respect for every bloke or Sheila who pulled on a uniform and did their jobs. But these Wanta-bees and fairtailers, make me sorry for some poor bloody village so were who has lost their local loony and bull shit artist.

    • Mustang1LT says:

And now we have heard from our contingent Down Under. I had an Australian Sergeant Major as an instructor last year at EBOLC. Great guy and knew his stuff. Nothing but love for you fellas. The Ausssies can always be counted on.

  15. Military Wife says:

After watching the video, learning that I actually know the family and Adam to hear that people could actually create a site like this and call names when they have no idea. Yes he may have been in the guard for a short time but he served his time in Afghanistan and Iraq and has documents showing so, not to mention all that he has been through to help keep this country’s freedom! For him to actually be brave enough to do a video for a company that supports helping childhood obesity and get put down for it is obscene! I only wish people had more good to do with their time that to put others down, he wasn’t bragging he was sharing so I’m so sorry for all of you negative people that are so low and thank you Adam for your service, more people should share! He could post his documents to make everyone say sorry but I hope he doesn’t it’s no ones business!

    • ChipNASA says:

      Uh huh….

      and so it begins.

*rolls eyes* *checks off the box*

    • Climb to Glory says:

Lady, the dudes a phony. Best to leave this site before you embarrass yourself. I can assure you it won’t be fun for you if you hang around this site.

    • Sparks says:

“He could post his documents to make everyone say sorry but I hope he doesn’t it’s no ones business!”

If Adam posts his documents and they are genuine and support the claims he is making, this site will issue an apology along with every poster here. You know why he will never post his documents? (By the way, many try posting forged and faked documents and it takes some of the readers here who are experts at document examination about 1 minute to tell if they are genuine or fake. If his are fake, he would be far from the first to try that. Next thing usually heard is, “my records were sealed, classified, etc, and can’t be seen”.) Because his “real” documents are just like the one posted here. They would prove, like the one here, he is a liar. So help him tell the truth or keep being part of his problem.

      • HEY LOAD says:

Adam comes from a good family with a proud military history. He was in KSA for about a month then complained about an old back injury he originally got from a motorcycle injury which got him sent home. Bottom line; he was never in Iraq, Afghanistan, and was never in any branch of the military other than the WVANG. He was a C130 LM. All the other stuff he is pushing is pure made up BS. I was told he was receiving VA benefits too. I guess all branches of the military have snake eater, bullet catching want-a-be’s!

    • Jonn Lilyea says:

What does telling lies about military service have to do with childhood obesity? How is he “brave”? Because parents can’t tell their kids to put down the spoon? I know these are a lot of questions, but they were questions that you should have asked yourself before you touched the keyboard.

    • clamsgotlegs says:

      ADF (a dumb f*ck):
      Honor. He lost it.

      Military Wife (sockpuppet):
      Mind. You lost it.

  16. military wife says:

Looking over the document the idiot who created this site posted and does it seem odd to anyone else that it’s a blank forged document. It says he wasn’t able to sign, there’s no birthdays no blood type and its a flat out fake! Anyone with any common sense can see that. FYI the creator of this site has ridiculed the founder and president of IAVA and also has been investigated for social security check fraud…. might wanna check that out!

    • Jonn Lilyea says:

I removed that information out of privacy concerns for Mr Franklin – I cut out his social security number, too. Should I put that back?

I will continue to ridicule the director of IAVA as long as he steals from veterans and wears medals he didn’t earn. If you’re talking about that website owned by Ron Mahlan, the phony Marine, that says I stole social security checks from elderly people, well, then you’re a very special kind of stupid, aren’t you?

      • ByrdMan says:

Please re-edit the document to include his social security number, mother’s maiden name and birthdate. I need it for a science project.

I am attempting to measure how quickly a lying tool’s identity can be stolen.

      • NHSparky says:

Ronnie is still at it, too? I bet he still rubs one out thinking about that trussed up side of beef…whoops, girlfriend–of his.

No people, do not Google it. You don’t want to, trust me.

    • 3/17 Air Cav says:

Uh, I think you’ve got your fakes mixed up. The only fake is the guy whose name is at the top of the document you mention.

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

      *SNIFF*, *SNIFF*…

Yeah, Milwife smells like a dumbass troll to me!!

    • Sparks says:

Get a clue! The document posted is an authentic document received when anyone discharges from the National Guard. It simply sounds to me like you’ve sat and “oohed” and “aahed” over his stories of Iraq and Afghanistan and three Purple Hearts and basically, drank the Kool Aid he was handing out. If you’re too young to know what “drank the Kool Aid” means, look up Reverend Jim Jones in Google. By the way, if you are a military wife, it means you have a military husband. If so, are you telling me your military husband listens to all of Adam’s bull shit and says, “yea, hey cool, you da man Adam”. If he does then he’s as dumb and naive as you are. You are on a web site and blog of, for and about, veterans and those who support veterans from as far back as Vietnam and even before perhaps. So when we hear bull shit, we call it. Men who go to Iraq and Afghanistan and serve one day and are killed in action, receive only the Purple Heart. It is a medal none want, none brag about or “share about” as you say Adam was doing. All those I have known who have one would gladly give it back to take away the past which caused it. Adam served his country and for that he should have been proud and left it as the honorable service it was. But no, like many phonies and embellishers, it wasn’t enough for him. So he doctored up his story with tales of daring-do and Purple Hearts and rescue missions which never happened. He blew his honorable service with a bunch of unnecessary lies. If you want to believe him, go ahead and help him puff up his little ego. That is what he and all who do what he has done are after. People to tell them how great, wonderful and heroic they are. As long as he lets these lies go on the harder it will be for him to come clean and tell the truth. But this blog and this thread about him are forever. As well as the Google site. Right now if you Google “Adam Daniel Franklin”, the top three Google search results point to three sites of his lies. That does not go away either…ever. If you want to help him, then confront him and demand the truth. Then demand he make apologies here and to all those who gave their blood, lost their limbs and lost their lives to receive a Purple Heart. That would put him on the road to restoring his integrity and some sense of self respect and honor. It will take time but others have come clean and gone on with their lives, much to their betterment and that of their families and friends, deceived for so long. So, military wife, continue to be part of his problem or help him and become part of his redemption. Your choice. But don’t expect sympathy here for him or for yourself if you come and post in defense of his continued lies.

      • Dave Hardin says:

Sparks- Its so nice to see your softer side. You really are getting rather good at all this. Maybe this one will move through the denial phase all on her own. We can always hope.

    • Mustang1LT says:

Yeah, about that no signature part, I have a DD-214 from Iraq that says “Member Not Available to Sign” and my NGB-22 also says the same thing because, being a Guardsman, I’m typically “Not Available to Sign”. Clearly you know nothing of the military there “Military Wife”. Before you go running your mouth, recognize that many of us have years, if not DECADES, of service in the military. And using IAVA as a reference tells me you really know nothing. Those IAVA clowns are nothing but a bunch of fraudulent motherfuckers, many of whom never served in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Unlike those bedwetters, I served in Iraq and am currently IN Afghanistan so fuck you and the horse you rode in on. I will back Jonn and his crew every day of the week and twice on Sunday before ANY asshole with IAVA or a fraud like Ronald Mailahn who was fired from a job as a firefighter for running up excessive phone bills calling phone sex lines while at work and who also stole money from a kid’s sports league. Keep using such stellar references and we’ll just point and laugh. What’s next, you going to reference a blog run by a certain cheese-eating phony or perhaps that of a certain Oregonian/Floridian lawyer/sport pilot? Perhaps the ravings of a purple clown-suited drunk Radiotelephone Operator who disgraces Vietnam Veterans everywhere with his cartoonish antics? Or perhaps you will use a certain shovel-wielding jackass who claims to have worked with Spetsnaz? There’s plenty of folks who have an axe to grind with this blog, however, they all have ONE thing in common, they are ALL frauds, embellishers, and general all-around shitbags who are mad that their lies were outed on this blog. Keep coming back with more of your “references” and we’ll shoot them all down and laugh you off this site. Y’all come back now, ya hear?

    • MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

So you are 10 times smarter …

Just reading your poorly crafted post tells me more about you …

      So here is my suggestion:

Consider getting a job, one that will permit you not to shop at Walmart for your clothes, Sam’s Club for all the Mountain Dew … And one that allow you to go from a rented single wide to a govt subsidized apartment with govt paid edjumication so you can properly construct an intelligent arguement.

  17. OWB says:

Hey, military wife! Adam Franklin did NOT earn a single Purple Heart, much less three Purple Hearts. Lying about that is absolutely disgusting. It is one of the least honorable things a military veteran can do. The only other lie that a veteran can claim that approximates it is to falsely claim having been a POW. Was he that as well?

By the time some of us are finished investigating this piece of trash we WILL know if he was indeed injured while serving in the ME, if he was in fact involved in the rescue of Jessica Lynch, and when exactly he had an opportunity to injure his shoulder while “Airborne.”

Got any other claims he might have made that we can check out? All we have so far is that silly video, but usually embellishers have other fanciful stories to share.

Maybe he was a SEAL, too?

  18. ArmyATC says:

Military Wife (if you really are a military wife), ask your butt buddy one simple question. Why would a Air National Guard loadmaster be on the raiding team that got Jessica Lynch? Doesn’t it seem odd that with all the SEALs, Army SF, Rangers, and Marine Force Recon that were available, the military would choose a ANG airman with no combat skills to raid the hospital in what was essentially enemy territory? Do you seriously believe that story of his? If so then I would suggest getting off your knees and taking a deep breath. Wash your face also. Those short curlies aren’t very becoming.

Damn, some people can be so bloody dumb.

  19. Dave Hardin says:

So Blondie, aka Rhonda Lucero still has this idiots video on facebook. It appears that her husband is an Air Force Vet and they used the homes for hero’s program to buy a house. Is it me or does it sound strange someone that claims to make $1.6 million a year uses a Veteran program to help buy a house. Makes me wonder if he knows wonder child here from his time in the Air Force. If he really is a veteran it seems that he could use hypnosis to convince his wife to take down this idiots post.

With all of their positive energy swirling around maybe they could be a little more pro active.

  20. Roach says:

Embarassingly, this is my “former” nephew and he is a lying POS. He did injure his back in Saudi and played it for a medical dischage. Also plea dealed for assaulting a family member.
(Roach = Army enlisted 3 years, Navy officer 17 years. Honorably retired from active duty.)

  21. Doc P says:

I know it’s been awhile since anyone posted on here about this, however….

I had occasion to run into this as clown this past Sunday at a restaurant that is local to his home.

I confronted him as I was deeply offended by his running from his vehicle (combat veterans license plates ( I have pictures)) in a handicap parking place to the restaurant with his family in tow.

I confronted him and we stepped outside to discuss a few things. He does still claim his 3 purple hearts and defended is “combat veteran” plates.

I have looked into his history and found that he was first injured playing sports in high school and may have aggravated the past injury. No doubt he was hurt while on active duty.

I am going to take my information to the federal prosecutor in my area to be reviewed and investigated.

I hope to find that as he was on video to endorse visalus that he was compensated. He even mentions the doctor that was shooting the video. Perhaps he had a free or discounted visit.

I will have them look into his enlistment paperwork and see if he declared the high school sports injury. If he did not then his enlistment was fraudulent and he should have his veteran status pulled and no longer be able abuse the rights that others have suffered for.

I am a veteran. I have served on deployment (multiple times)to the middle east ( not a few days in Saudi Arabia). I do not have a purple heart nor do I want one.

On the other hand my father US Army Ret. has in fact received 2 purple hearts for his service in Vietnam.

My passion in getting this jackhole exposed for the fraud, liar and thief is to help preserve the honor and dignity bestowed on my father and the thousands of brothers and sisters at arms.

Thank you all for your support and I will update as information becomes available.

  22. HEY LOAD says:

    What a tool!
