Paul Benevente1

Scotty sends us his work on this fellow, Paul Benevente, who for some reason thinks that graduating from the Army’s electrician school makes him an Army Ranger.

Paul Benevente 2-1

Dude spent more that 5 years in the Army, 3 of which were in Hawai’i, he got four Army Achievement Medals and wants to flush it by calling himself a Ranger. He got out of the Army as an Army Specialist, but he was an Engineer Officer;

  1. MrBill says:

He was in the Army; he once drove a Ford Ranger; therefore, he’s an Army Ranger.

He has an advanced degree from the Rev. Dr. Colyer Seminary of Embellishment. (“I’m a veteran; I’m disabled; therefore, I’m a disabled veteran.”)

  2. Smitty says:

Its good to see a phoney Ranger once in a while, seems the SEALs have been getting all the phonies lately

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

Agreed. There have been too many SEAL stories in the media. When the media spotlights are trained on the Rangers, I’m looking forward to seeing one of these clowns who claimed to be a SEAL suddenly decide he was actually an Army Ranger–highly decorated, of course.

    • Twist says:

I remember when that horrible eye bleach inducing movie “Hurt locker” came out, all of a sudden there was a whole bunch of phoney EOD guys.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

I have seldom seen a movie as boring as ‘Hurt Locker’. And frankly, I’ve spent more time roaming the cornfields on my horsey than this dickwick has spent pretending that he’s BTDT.

  3. Steadfast&Loyal says:

That bio on ZoomInfo said he was an engineer officer, but looks like he only made it to E4.

  4. Guard Bum says:

I need to polish up my resume, when I went to ANCOC we did a few road marches which is just like Ranger school.

Maybe I can order a mug or something.

  5. Bobo says:

The Zoominfo bio is interesting. Not only claiming the Engineer Officer when he left as a signal E-4, he’s also claiming an undetermined undergraduate degree from FSU and an MBA from William and Mary. Any bets that, if W&M is contacted, the answer from them would be “who”?

  6. Green Thumb says:

    Another loser.

  7. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

“I wanna be an electrical ranger…
splicing wires is full of danger…
    Fixing fuses and testing amps
Posers tell lies like fucking champs…”

    • TacticalTrunkMonkey says:

You owe the USMC a new monitor and keyboard…for all the coffee I just spit on it.

  8. rb325th says:

My Company pulled OPFOR duty at the Ranger School, guess that makes me just like a Ranger…

    • Twist says:

I was attached to an ODA team in Iraq for four months. I guess they just forgot to issue me my beret and long tab.

  9. MikeD says:

I worked Intel as an E-5, and I had the additional duty (voluntold for it) of “Information System Security Officer”. So does this mean I was an Intel Officer now?

    • Sparks says:

MikeD…You have my blessing Brother. Now get on line and order that suitable for framing certificate!

  10. Mustang1LT says:

WooHoo! A fake Engineer Officer! Now I don’t feel so left out! What a fuckstick!

    • rfisher says:

I was thinking that it was a good thing that none of these posers claimed to be an Engineers, well that’s shot to hell now. At least this loser had one small glint of smarts in picking something he was familiar with.

      • RunPatRun says:

Still no fake Recruiters…”there I was chasing down Cat IVs at the video arcade, one day left in the recruiting month, donut rollers all around. The Navy tried to steal my DEP with a Nuke school billet, and I said BOOM, WOFT packet”

Guess you had to be there. 🙂

        • rgr1480 says:

There I was (1973) … at the St. Louis MEPS after taking the ASVAB. The guy inductee sitting next to me asked my category … I said “Cat I.”

He said, “Hey, I’m Cat IV!! I must be smarter than you.”

          It’s a true story.

  11. 19D1OR4 - Smitty says:

Why not just add Cowboy Astronaut Oil Tycoon Millionaire as well…..”Hey this cowboy hat comes right off, he’s a phony!”

^completely ripped off of Family Guy

    • Sparks says:

19D1OR4 – Smitty…Or an old Ozark hillbilly, ridge running oil tycoon, millionaire and then billionaire with a daughter who’s STILL to this day, in this old man’s mental “spank bank”. Nothing says lovin’ like Ellie May in a mornin’…I’ll stop it there before I have to go DEAL with that imagery in the privacy of my bedroom. What am I talking about! I’m home alone and this recliner feels FINE! Hey, come on over here Ellie.

  12. Sparks says:

Dude was a common electrician for goodness sakes. Nothing wrong with that in honorable service to your country and a great, high paying civilian trade to boot. But, not enough for Paulsie Boy. He had to do it, go full tilt Ranger Battalion with deadly killer written all over him. Now, IF he had been a non-military guy posing as an Army electrician, that would have been original here at least. In fact I think I would have applauded his efforts. Haven’t seen one of those yet though. You know the, “Hey yea, I was Army for 5 plus years. An electrician in Hawaii most of the time AND I was awarded FOUR, that’s right, count ’em FOUR, Big Army Achievement Medals AND a Good Conduct Medal! How’s that for patriotic, high speed service! All you Rangers and SEAL types can take a backseat to ME now”.

I think I’ll be waiting a long time to see that poser verbiage come along.

  13. 2/17 Air Cav says:

I rubbed elbows with a Ranger so, I guess I’m a Ranger by association. Oh–a Ranger yelled at me once so, inasmuch as I was schooled by that Ranger, I guess I can say I attended Ranger School. Cool beans.

    • Sparks says:

2/17 Air Cav. YEA! Work it brother, work it!

    • A Proud Infidel says:

Well then, I attended CDL truck driving school and had a classmate who was a retiring E7 that was an instructor at the US Army Sniper School on Ft. Benning, thus that makes ME a sniper as well? He had also served in SF, so there are my poser credentials. I served on Ft. Benning during my AD days, thus there are my Poser-Ranger credentials,I have met genuine former SEALs in my past, AND I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express a few times, WAAAATCH OUT for me!!

      • MGySgtRet. says:

Sounds totally legit to me. All my fake records of fake special ops burned up in a fake fire. I like to call that my poser tri-fecta!!

      • Thunderstixx says:

I taught Rangers at Huck Creek Mountain Training Camp.
Since I had to teach them I am a Second Class Ski and Rope Ranger.

Which means that I outrank all of you !!!
Half right face pivot, get on down you regular Rangers Dirty Dozen pukes !!!
“I will PT you until you f##king DIE !!!”

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

I have also ridden in C-130s and C-17’s,, sat in the cockpit of training simulators, and looked into the cockpits of Fighter Jets, that’s just the same as being a pilot, ain’t it? YEAH, there’s one more thing i can add to my bogus resume’!

  14. C2Show says:

I wonder if he lied on his resume to land that job. Pretending to be an officer and a ranger too. I wonder if he even graduated from FSU. A lot of lies going on with this guy.

  15. xbradtc says:

B-4-2ITB in ’85 in Harmony Church was right next door to Ranger School.

I guess that makes me CSM of Delta.

  16. Kevin Kenneally says:

SIng this song and you are tehn “qualified” to be a “I-net Ranger”:

    I don’t go out with girls anyymore….
I live the life of danger….
I sit at home and “play with myself”….
    Oh look I’m a Ranger…..

In 1980, while stationed at Fort Lewis, we would sing this song as we ran by the Ranger Barracks at the South end of the Ft Lewis Airfield…. The C Company Commander, 2-75 BN was a class mate of my Platoon Leader (CPT, Aero-Rifle Platoon, B 3/5 Cav) and we would go out to the field and be their “OpFor” when they would be in position. This Ranger Company was a good Company, but we easily penetrated their positions due to poor noise an dlight discipline. All in all, a good time back then. SO does this make me a “Ranger”?

    • Green Thumb says:

      This clown is “Two-hole Ranger”.

He has been around a lot of two-holes, I assure you.

      Just look at the picture.

      • Jonn Lilyea says:

I want to stuff that cap in his two hole. And then offer him cup of warm soup.

        • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Jonn, please ALLOW ME to cook it myself before you serve it to him, I’d cook him some of the cheapest ramen noodles mixed with the cheapest bologna and hot dogs I could find, and suggest it be served to him only after it’s been left at room temperature for a few hours!

  17. David says:

well, when the Rangers in training did their deser school, they transited through one of our hangars at Biggs Field at Ft. Bliss… ah, hell, I can’t even TYPE that crap

  18. SJ says:

I drove by the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Ft Pierce last week. Where do I get my Trident?

  19. C2Show says:

Piece of shit poster did what any coward would do. Deleted his facebook page and trying to hide from people.

Don’t worry, Scotty hooked up folks with that embarrassing video.

  20. cy says:

WTF? 4 AAM’s is quite an accomplishment, especially for someone who was an Electrician. Why do these idiots embellish?

  21. David says:

Check out this site, Ranger, Florida State Alumni, and Blackhawk Down veteran. Almost seems like this piece of garbage tried to steal McKnight’s career.

  22. DSL22 says:

Great to see this lying fraud finally outed. Those of us who know him have done our homework and found out he never attended William and Mary or Florida State. He also told a lot of us he played football at FSU. Kind of hard to be on a team that has no record of you and a registrar that has no record of his enrollment. He always made claims of being in Blackhawk Down and told some of us he was wounded and earned a bronze star for valor. He is a total fraud and can not be believed on any topic. We even found his marriage license to his first wife and he even lied about his age.
