Stolen Valor vigilantism

| October 29, 2015

Michael Delfin

Michael Delfin’s wife contacted us the other day about him. He was attacked by a pair of Air Force guys who thought that he was lying about his military service. The story about it comes out of Sacramento, California;

“So, I asked him to read my ID, and he was like nahh stolen valor, stolen valor; this guy’s a fake,” he said.

Since he’s no longer active duty, Michael’s ID is different. But he was accused of lying about serving—stolen valor.

“He’s ignorant. He needs to learn how to read an ID, plain and simple,” he said. “When a vet tells you he’s a vet and he’s obviously wearing a fallen brothers bracelet-doesn’t even recognize that.”

The two Air Force fellows attacked the former Marine in the parking lot outside of the club. They broke his leg and possibly his jaw.

I don’t think anyone in this crowd at TAH would engage in that type of vigilantism, because everyone knows we don’t condone that behavior. We get the records of folks first before we call them out, and physical violence, no matter how tempting, is always frowned upon. I don’t know what was going through the minds of those two Air Force fellows, if anything was working up there at all.

Bulldog at Guardians of Valor has an interview scheduled this afternoon with Delfin’s wife later today, so this isn’t the end of our work to make this right.

If you want to donate to Delfin’s GoFundMe here’s the link.

A disgraced phony SEAL, CPO and former attorney is trying to impeach all of us with the actions of a couple of morons. Make it right for this Devil Dog.

    • E-6 type, 1 ea says:

That certain former attorney left a nice little comment on the Go Fund Me page. The comment, like everything else in that idiot’s life, is a couple hundred feet short of the runway.

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

As well as trying to run on empty!

      • That inept, non-CPO, catheter wearing wannabe glider pilot, couldn’t tell the truth if he was under oath; as evidenced by his 166 page comic book where he told several lies and swore that they were true, has now even told lies on a charity page. Is there any lower that this dope can go? When has anyone, anywhere, ever heard Diane Shipley claim to be a SEAL? Anyone? He is a washed up, no account, useless, steaming pile of dogcrap. He is the perfect poster boy for the old adage: “It is a small person who must shout to be seen.” He re-defines “small person”.
The only reasons that he donated $75 bucks there was #1, to pay for a space to leave his lies, and #2, to match one of “our own” that chose to donate. This moron don’t give a ratzazz about this marine.

    • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

It’s how he rolls… he knows no other way. An angry little man with nothing to show for his pathetic, angry little life.

    • Silentium Est Aureum says:

      Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ, Bernath.

When are you gonna wake up and realize it ain’t about YOU, putz?

  2. ChipNASA says:

Physical Violence is NEVER the answer.
    Never, ever, ever.
I saw a post on Stolen Valor that a fellow veteran has contacted the OSI at Travis AFB and they are also involved (allegedly) in this investigation.

    • USMC Steve says:

They as well as local law enforcement should be. I know how it works in the military, so not sure how the Air Force will deal with it, but they committed multiple felonies and a court martial would most likely be the starting point were they Marines.

    • desert says:

So some pink panties wearing assholes from the air farce reach out to touch someone…..what morons!!

      • Rick Fulton says:

“…pink panties wear assholes from the air farce…” ????? What is with that comment? We were on the ground in Libya in the 1950s and 1960s when no other service was present. We are the ones who gave the ground the air they needed in Vietnam in most of the battles….and we had airmen on the ground at Dong Ha and Hue and Khe Sanh too. We are the service who protected the MACV HQ in Tet. So lay off the name calling.

        • MrBill says:

I believe he was referring only to the two assholes who committed the assault. If the story is true, they deserve the names, and more.

  3. Pinto Nag says:

It seems to me that a beating severe enough to break someone’s leg is out of all proportion to the suspected offense. I think I want to hear more about this story before I comment on it.

  4. Ex-PH2 says:

This is not a good thing. There’s no sense in physical confrontations like this.

I do wish this young man a speedy recovery.

I also hope the jerks that did this get busted, but good.

  5. Flagwaver says:

Please tell me the pair of potatoes are facing SEVERE criminal punishment.

    • UpNorth says:

I don’t know about Califruitsnnutz, it may be a misdemeanor there, or a civil infraction. In Michigan, it would be Assault with Intent To Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder. Punishment is 10 years in prison, max, and a $5000 fine.

  6. Nonner says:

Donated. First that asshat SSgt and now this. And to add insult to injury I saw who one of the donors was. Surprised he had that much scratch to contribute, all things considered.

  7. 2/17 Air Cav says:

A couple of things about this. Anyone who tries to associate what one drunken jerk who, as Delfin says, was looking for a fight with the Stolen Valor that is the stuff of this blog and the subject of federal and state statutes is grossly mistaken. This wasn’t about a legitimate stolen valor concern at all and a local TV story calling it that doesn’t make it that. It was about a drunk or two looking for and causing trouble. I hope the police are actively seeking the SOBs who attacked this Veteran, but this story has nothing whatsoever to do with valor thieves and those who spotlight their lies, embellishments, and false claims. I guess I resent that the word vigilantism is used here as it is. That’s not us and I see no need to say so just because some asshole is banging pots and pans again.

  8. Dave Hardin says:

WTF? His wife is going to be interviewed? That’s not a broken jaw, that’s not a legit cast on his leg either. Is this what the world has come to?

Anyone who follows what I post knows I can not stand these Valor Vigilantes, particularly when the have one of them holding a cell phone camera.

Nah, Devil Dog here was running his mouth in a bar, attempted an advance to the rear and got his ass kicked. Now his wife is going to take up the cause. Oh please, if every time I got in a fight my spousal unit jumped on social media about, well, lets just say she already had enough to deal with.

Ok, fighting with the other kids in the sand box is wrong, we shouldnt drink and run our mouths, and this is a terrible injustice that needs corrected.

Just sayin the guy come off like a bit of a pus…., well never mind. If it makes him feel any better I got the shit kicked out of me by an Air Force shore patrol once. But, they all had to leave a deposit, nobody gets it for free.

I guess the intent is to draw attention to these groups of thugs that think they are doing our cause justice by being morons.

Suck it up jarhead, what goes around comes around.

    • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

Dave, he may have a tibial plateau fracture with a normal alignment, which would be treated with a knee immobilizer:

As for the jaw fracture, it may be a non-displaced or hairline fracture, which could be painful for him to eat.

      • Dave Hardin says:

Ahhh, yep that sounds like taking a ass whooping. I am sure he has a full medical case file in his hands.

To be clear, this kind of nonsense has to stop. I am not justifying what these ass clowns did.

Come on Doc, a few Motrin, a change of socks, and he will be fine.

        • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

I don’t know about the Motrin, but the guy may be looking at knee surgery if there is other damage. May be an high price to pay for three numbskulls jawing at each other:

Full clinical assessment is required, including evaluation of the soft tissues to determine whether a compartment syndrome is present and whether the patient has sustained a neurovascular injury. Gentle stress testing can be performed with the leg in extension to evaluate the stability of the ligaments and to assess any sign of fracture displacement.

Approximately 50% of the knees with closed tibial plateau fractures have injuries of the menisci and cruciate ligaments that usually require surgical repair. Because of the valgus stress at the moment of impact, the medial collateral ligament is at greater risk than the lateral collateral ligament; however, disruption of the lateral collateral ligament is of grave concern because of possible injuries to the peroneal nerve and the popliteal vessels. Dislocation-relocation injuries are more common with medial plateau injuries and carry an increased risk of peroneal nerve damage.

        • Silentium Est Aureum says:

Trust me, Dave, even a “minor” scope job can result in major suckage.

I’m a month out and I still have swelling and minor pain, even with Motrin and physical therapy.

        • Ex-PH2 says:

Just taking a knee-smashing fall on the ice at practice can keep you off the rink for 3 weeks and take months for the nerves to grow back, IF they ever do. And then you have to sit with an icepack on your freakin’ knee for a week minimum to keep the thing from swelling up.

        • Dave Hardin says:

I get it, I get it, It hurts, its painful. What do you think I dont understand pain? Yes, I know its bad.

I was going to count up the number of stitches and broken bones I have had, but then who really gives a shit.

He got his ass kicked. Maybe he ought to just stay out of bars for a while.

    • streetsweeper says:

An Air Force shore patrol?!?!?!?!? Were you drunk on hooch and being a combative devil dawg with USN Shore Patrol maybe? LOL.

    • Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

Don’t matter what the truth is, the media will love this new meme…all stolen valor hunters are a bar fight away from revealing just how fucking stupid and crazy these old cranks are….I can see that meme promulgating itself over and over and never going away like the crazed old Vietnam vet meme…

Them boys lucky they didn’t get shot…somebody’s going to at some point doing this stupid shit. Then the meme will grow a little larger still.

Nicely done assclowns, way to set us all up as giant fucking idiots thanks to your special brand of fucktardery.

  9. Tom Huxton says:

Another proof that you should stay away from bars, drunks and rude people. Rude drunks in company with their buddies are especially dangerous.

    • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

My guess is that all three had a few too many and started getting mouthy… and I agree with you Tom, about staying away from bars, drunks and rude people.

    • Hayabusa says:

A hard and fast rule is that nothing good ever happens in a bar after midnight. Nothing.

I hate to see this shit but Dave H made a comment a week ago about it saying it will be a matter of time before some ass makes a mistake in identity here. We do not have the full story like what happen inside the bar. That is not to say the guy’s that jumped him are in the wrong period.

I had some one last week trying to fill me out but I didn’t give time or day, don’t sit at the bar talking war story’s. I do how ever wear an operators cap that I got when supporting an ODA Team, and it is worn and torn means a lot to me.He looked at me and asked if I was in the military I said “No I am retired” he looked at me and said “I want to thank you” replied back with “thank you but don’t than me we need to thank the Nam Vet’s because we get thanked all the time but they didn’t”. He kind of looked at me and said ” Ya but I don’t see to many of them”. He looked me up and down and walked off. Now I will say this I am not a normal looking guy, still in good shape work out every day, 225lb’s and 5′.10″ and around 15 % body building type. So there could be two reason’s he was trying to get at me. Any way he keep watching me all night. I left when the bar got crowded Sat Night so he didn’t see me leave. I was able to understand that I was being challenged and took myself out of the problem. I think we will see more of this shit.

One side note I am near a big AFB and their are a lot of Active,Retirees and Vet’s in this town. I asked the guy if he was military he said no but he had that military look. We need to educate the young Military guy’s and the public on what real stolen Valor is. It will get ugly as we always use to say.

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

No, it won’t get ugly–or uglier, anyway. There will always be drunks. There will always be jerks. There will always be drunken jerks. But aside from those, long before there was a SV law, there have been challenges and fights regarding false representations among AD troops and Veterans. Boonie cap wearers. Tiger stripe wearers. You name it and if it wasn’t legit, well, it didn’t take an act of Congress to go there.

      • NECCSEABEECPO says:

True, guess I’m older so I now when to get out of shit and your wright I remember do same shit when I was younger.

        • 2/17 Air Cav says:

Exactly–but those were the days before cellphone cameras and twitter and instagram and instant attention. Shit happened. The next day, you looked in the mirror–and then at your knuckles–to get a better picture of what happened.

    • MSG Eric says:

I’d say a bar is the last place you want to call out someone for stolen valor. If you did, probably more than half the men in there would be guilty of it. Not to leave out the ladies, but I’d say they have some as well, just not as much.

That’s both in and out of uniform. Women folk and alcohol equals embellishment to impress. As long as it stays there and doesn’t continue outside then so be it.

I don’t really like bars either. I avoided bars around Bragg when I was there because they were always full of dudes looking to hook up with any woman who had a pulse and competition was high.

      • UpNorth says:

To add my own take on what Hayabusa said upthread, nothing good happens in a bar after 8pm. That’s just the nature of bars and most people who hang out in bars.

  11. Hondo says:

Not saying anything’s “off” here, but I would be interested in knowing what kind of ID this guy showed his attackers. I’m pretty sure that since at least 2003 RC personnel have been issued CAC cards. And it’s virtually identical to an active CAC – you have to look closely to spot the difference.

    • SFC D says:

Would his ID look more like a retiree ID, if he was medically retired? Article was kind of vague as to why he had a military ID

      • Skippy says:

I have the same ID card that any retired service member would have.. it’s blue background.
I think IRR have a Red background on theirs. I was a NG and for some odd reason they IRR’d me even though I’m 100 percent Army and VA
if you figure that one out. please let me know….

        • Hondo says:

Negative. The red “oldstyle” ID (similar to the blue retired military ID) is now used as the “Grey Area” Reserve Retiree ID card. That happened at the same time issuance of CACs to RC personnel began (or very shortly afterwards).

A retired reservist gets the blue ID at age 60.

Hondo, I don’t think he is RC I think he is out that means he is probably IRR and they do not get an ID but he has his VA ID that is what he showed in the news Vid. I will say I know the Navy and Marine Corps do not get attached to RC and I believe the Army does that, now not sure.

    • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

It was shown in the video clip – he has a VA ID card

    • MSG Eric says:

A few years ago, maybe around 2008? They stopped putting “reserve” or “active” on military CACs (for the Army at least).

So if you look at an Army CAC now, you can’t tell anything other than the person is in the Army.

If you had shown me a VA ID card for a vet 2 years ago, I wouldn’t have a clue if it were real or fake. Though I think that’s irrelevant to these two hosehounds who wanted to get in a fight.

      • NECCSEABEECPO says:

I’m with you MSG, I have two ID’S my green retire ID and a VA card did not know what they looked like and if I saw one would say it was fake. GA VA makes you get one don’t know why they just do. The congress just past something they attached to the DOD bill and it was they will issue ID’s to Vet’s when they get out. They want to eventually use this as the DD 214 instead of paper because you can fake paper well I think you can fake ID’s also.

        • Airdale USN says:

Retired ID’s are Blue for all branches.

          • NECCSEABEECPO says:

Mine look’s real green to me, I must be cooler blind.. My bad it look’s real close to the old green cards just checked again it’s bluish. My bad just look’s bluish green but I’ll go with that.

      • Hondo says:

MSG Eric: Thanks. Last reserve-side CAC I had was issued a few years prior to that. Appreciate the info.

    • Dave Hardin says:

On a serious note: I am a Veteran, I have no ID whatsoever. Most Veterans don’t. Most veterans dont use the VA. Most veterans served their enlistment and go on with their lives.

Ask me for a Veteran ID in a bar and I will tell you to check with your mother, she vetted me.

      • NECCSEABEECPO says:

True, that is why I think they want to have this VA card don’t know how it’s going to work more money.

        • 2/17 Air Cav says:

Just got my first Veteran ID. It’s my driver’s license with a teeny tiny image of the country that is filled in to look like Old Glory. The image has the word Veteran” beneath it, in a font that I guess is a -3. Hey, it was free.

      • nbcguy54ACTUAL says:

Same here. All I have to show is a VFW card and a couple of membership cards to vet organizations (11 ACR & 14 FA). Don’t need VA services but I plan on getting a VA card soon just in case I ever need something “official”.

      • Peter the Bubblehead says:

NH now issues Driver’s Licenses with ‘Veteran’ marked in one corner if you provide the proper paperwork when you apply for your license. I ran into a situation earlier this week where a military museum was now free for all active/retired/and veterans, with the caveat “With proper ID.” Normally I would show my VFW or Sub Vets life membership cards, but 50% of the time those are not acceptable (they are looking for official government retired blue card IDs). This was the first time I used my new license as proof of veteran’s status and it was accepted with no question.

  12. MSG Eric says:

A couple of drunks looking for a fight they could win easily. I don’t know if it would be worse or better that they were sober though, if they were.

I hope he remembered the name on that ID card he saw and they get pummeled for it.

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

I think they should get a Field Grade Article 15 with maximum punishment at he very least, “45 and 45” doing every shitty detail anyone can come up with with half their pay taken alway!

  13. O-4E says:

The Air Force gettin all froggy

I seriously don’t know that I’d admit, especially publically, getting rolled by a couple of Air Force guys

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

I am assuming that one of the drunks was a martial artist or something. Two airmen vs. one Marine is not a fair fight. Five airmen vs. one Marine is.

      • NECCSEABEECPO says:

I just think he is a pussy.. He is a Marine I would think MCMAP would have kicked in

        • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Meh, they might have both kicked and stomped the Marine after one of them blindsided him, just sayin’.

        • L. Taylor says:

“I just think he is a pussy.. He is a Marine I would think MCMAP would have kicked in”

Wow. Just wow. There is no limit to the asshattery of some of you.

        • Sorensen25 says:

Wow, you’re such a badass. Can you please tell us how the other branches are so much more badass despite having shorter and more lenient training pipelines?

Two versus one in a club parking lot has nothing to do with service despite what the interwebs tells you.

    • jonp says:

Did you miss the story about the would be thief getting blindsided in a convenience store he wanted to turn his life around in with a gold club? Can happen to anyone.

  14. PFM says:

Yep Hondo early on the Guard CAC were labeled as such, but once they started deploying on title 10 they changed ’em to one size fits all.

  15. Skippy says:

I saw this coming. does anyone think there is something off here ????
first a Air Force guy now this Marine !!!!! my x-files brain is in overdrive LMAO ! ! !

  16. Dave Hardin says:

Quetion, this GoFundMe thing, is it retroactive? If so, how far back can I go? I can get my mommy to start one for me, wait a minute, she kicked my ass a bunch of times, shit.

I need somebody that feels for me to start a Dave’s a Pussy fund.

    • skippy says:

      bhwhahahahahahaha! ! !

    • Perry Gaskill says:

That’s not the key question, Dave. Personally, I’d want to know if the money was a reward for your mom, or if it would go for more strippers and depraved midget acrobats.

      • Dave Hardin says:

Hey, lets not go too far….acrobatics are optional.

      • Dave Hardin says:

We don’t want to be giving mom money. Ever since the knife fight last year she is banned from the VFW. She still dances down at the Bloody Bucket on friday nights though.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

Shouldn’t that be Dave Needs a Pussy fund?

If you’re going to adopt a homeless pussy, may I suggest one suited for your temperament? A Bengal, for instance, is an intelligent active pussy who loves to do things, and could easily be trained to fetch stuff for you, with modest rewards such as bits of tuna fish and mackerel.

DXn ShXXXey and his fake SEAL wife DXXne ShXXXey criminally assault someone they accused of stolen honor. Then they went to his job and did it again there. for the videos This vigilantism has got to stop NOW.

    • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

His FTS is flaring up again… or his cath needs to suckstarted by Queefers again

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

What is that toad snot-headed loser’s beef against Don Shipley (SCPO, USN, Ret) and his Mrs.? Does he have turbocharged penis envy because Don Shipley is a REAL CPO?

      • Hondo says:

IMO he’s simply being intentionally provocative, trolling and hoping Donn will say or do something foolish or threatening.

I’m guessing Don’s already seen right through him, though.

        • MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

          Your guess is spot on!

        • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

I’m sure they both saw right through Lawn Dart Dan as soon as he started his crap with them.

        • Richard says:

I don’t know Chief Shipley. We exchanged a couple of emails over a small matter, never mind. I have watched some of his videos and was entertained and enlightened. In my opinion, the chief doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody. Why dignify the accusation by replying to it? In order to evaluate the accusation we can understand everything we need to know by looking at the person who made it. Sort of like this, “interesting? True? Oh, that jackass. Never mind.”

FWIW, On March 16, 1976 the guy doing my outprocessing said, “officially you owe us three days on IRR but since it will take you three days to get home, we figured – what the heck – so, you’re welcome.” I handed over my ID, said “Thanks” and started life as a civilian. So I don’t have a card. I suspect that there are a couple million more like me. You guys who did the full tour have my respect. Even Hardin.

        • Ex-PH2 says:

I think Senior Chief Shipley could probably hold whatshisface up by his ankles and shake all the ill-gotten coins out of his pockets, mostly without batting an eye.

    • Tony180a says:

      WTF? This guy is nuts!

      • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Bernath is a full-throttle turbocharged IDIOT, but that’s like saying “Fire is hot”, “Water is wet” and “Shit stinks”!

  18. 13B/92S/02M says:

Well he did have his VA card , which the only one that shows a guys a vet who enrolled in the VA…other than that no other card ID shows a guys a vet … Here in California next year drivers licenses and IDs will have VETERAN on them. More to this story I am sure.

  19. JohnE says:

Somewhere in the greater Sacramento area there are 2 AF members laying really low these days. I am ashamed of these brethren of mine, and hope that I do not know either one personally…and they had better not be in my control.

  20. Just An Old Dog says:

Call me a cynic, but I don’t trust anyone’s version of a barfight. Getting beat up over “falsely being accused of Stolen Valor” sounds a lot better on a Go-Fund-Me then “shit talking went south”.

    • Skippy says:

I have a funny feeling you maybe right.. truth is always stranger then fiction… the least I could do was to have fang donate a little. if I’m wrong then karma will tag his ass Lol…

  21. jonp says:

Went to his gofundme page and read the comment by numbnuts. What is a “fake seal wife”? Is douchebag saying that isn’t Don’s real wife? Don is a fake seal? His wife is claiming to be the first female seal? Deep undercover and her records are sealed of course

    • Just An Old Dog says:

Numbnuts somehow got a picture of Mrs Shipley wearing Don’s uniform from their site. She was probably doing it as a part of them outing frauds. In other words, Diane Shipley was NOT running around claiming to be a SEAL and it would be obvious to anyone who had seen the picture in its actual context that she wasn’t.
You have to remember, Bernath is the same toe-rag that took a picture of Mark Seavey dressed in a reenacting uniform and accused him of pretending to be a general.

  22. Jarhead says:

Everything considered, I pretty much have to go along with D. Hardin’s thoughts. If I understood the story correctly, the Devil Dog mentioned something about the two Air Force dudes and their uniforms. Going to ANY bar and bringing up the subject of ANYTHING military is looking for trouble. Much as I hate to say it, the Marine should never have opened his mouth to begin with. We all know how the different branches of service enjoyed ragging on one another. Most all of us were guilty of that back in the day. Liquor and stupidity are sisters, don’t we know? Twins at that. Regrettable that the Marine was hurt, but at least he can say it was done by two thugs. Stay out of bars; if you need to drink, stay at home and piss off the parrot. When out in public, a sober and alert mind (especially when you have a CWP ) will more often than not prevent you from ever getting taken by surprise and getting your ass kicked. Caution never leads to being mugged. Your face will always be the first sign of weakness for the instant thugs. The confidence of a CWP will always be represented by the smile that says, “Does not play well with others”.

So Jarhead here is the scuttlebutt, I have to whisper so everyone doesn’t hear (ok, so numbnutz was in the bar without the spousal unit, the two flyboys were playing wannabe in front of some hot chick, devil pup goes lean and green on them, they get the red ass for looking punked, pup hits the door cause mama is going to kick his ass when he comes home late, drunk, with lipstick on pvt willie. He gets jumped in the lot takes a few for effect, tells mama those mean boys picked on him.) And like I said this is an outrage, those Mighty Air Force Men should pick on people their own size. (wasn’t the Corps birthed in a bloody bar?) Semper Fi.

Dave, you and I might be two of few who see things the way we do. We know how mouthy the Green Machine tended to make us, especially up to probably the first five years after discharge. Likewise, we know that advertising by mouth in a bar that you are or have been a Marine is most always considered by other drunks a challenge to go after with as much force as it takes. The absolute NEED to mention prior service in the USMC while around people you don’t know is mostly received as a threat with bragging rights, which just HAVE to be challenged by a belly full of liquor and a mind that can’t reason with a person bragging. My guess is that neither one of us go into bars alone and want to tell strangers early on what bad-asses we were or still are. Finally, I hope the dude learned a valuable lesson. By that I mean it could have been a LOT worse.

The GoFundMe goal established by Mrs. Delfin is $4,000. She explains that he is out of work b/c of the attack, fight, or whatever it was. I guess his job—whatever it is—doesn’t provide sick leave or other types of paid leave and that, if that’s true, his employer is callous and uncaring not to keep him in paid status while he is recovering. I don’t know. She doesn’t say, nor does she say how $4000 became the magic number. So, Mrs. Delfin, if you are reading this, consider explaining the situation a little better and you just might receive more donations.

On the outside chance that Mrs, Delfin visits, your state may have a crime victims’ fund that may or may not help your situation. It’s worth asking.

Has anyone thought of crowdsourcing to find these two assholes? One of the articles has a lot of tidbits on these guys – here is a quote from Mrs. Delfin:

“I need help ID’ing these guys. We know the one is stationed at Travis AFB. He has a tattoo of a microphone and music notes on his forearm and on his right shoulder something that looked like a Grimm reaper. He is about 6’5″ dark hair. Either from Oregon or an Oregon Ducks fan judging by his clothes. The other guy worked for a painting company in the area. Want to say is was CS painting. No tattoos that I could see. They both like singing karaoke.”

If anyone has connections in that area, spread the word. Someone knows these assholes.
