Randy Ray Ward; phony Marine

| November 23, 2015

Randy Ray Ward cap

The folks at Military Phonies send us their work on this fellow, Randy Ray Ward, who claims to be a survivor of the Beirut bombing in October 1983.

Randy Ray Ward claims

He has a still-growing rack of ribbons, probably because the Marine Corps is still discovering his derring-do years afterward;

But, no, he spent about a month in the Marine Corps, according to the National Personnel Records Center from January to February 1982;

No combat, no awards, pretty much no service. But he beats the PTSD drum a lot and he blames it on his non-existent combat service, I’m guessing that he does that for a reason.

    Florida. Yet again.

  2. Hondo says:

    Yet another fake Beirut vet.

    A guy named Hardin ain’t gonna like this . . . .

  3. GDContractor says:

Well at least he wasn’t hanging around the local high school.

  4. Ex-PH2 says:

I just got the gigglesnorts again. I doubt this person could have made it through WAVES boot camp.

    • Green Thumb says:

And even worse, in all of those pictures there appears to be numerous folks cropped out.

JROTC, HS, parade photos, memorial photos, etc.. There are going to be some sad and disappointed people. Plus this turd appears to have had easy access to young kids.

      • Dave Hardin says:

You have no idea how true what you said actually is. His actions will be devastating to some. This makes me sick, seriously, I want to vomit sometimes.

Those around him that do take pride in their service and have achieved great things should continue to do exactly that. They are honorable people who should be given every ounce of support the deserve.

        • Nick Mottola says:

          Semper Fi brother

          • Dave Hardin says:

I am so proud of you Nick, you didn’t use a bad word and spelled everything correctly.

If these people only knew how lucky they are. Semper Fi brother, Here I will say it for you……Fuck Him.

            • LIRight says:

I’d be willing to throw a “party” for Mr. Ward and you’re all invited.

Could one of you guys bring an old blanket to properly welcome this scumbag?

              • Instinct says:

You’ll also need some bars of soap and tube socks.

Tube socks work best since they are longer and allow for more swinging power.

  5. Skippy says:

Holy Crap !!!!! I’ve seen fake marines at airports in Reno, Nv that had more class then this ate-up train wreck…. holy s:@! please do a better job on the ribbons Lol…

  6. Dave Hardin says:

Mr Ward and his wife had infiltrated the very heart of Beirut Veterans. They had been active in the groups for years. Creating Beirut memorial merchandise and selling it was their biggest effort. This is what happens if people do not do a FOIA on someone they have questions about.

This particular situation is worse than it even appears. Many things uncovered during the investigation were not posted to protect the integrity and sacrifice of fallen Marines and their families. He was active in several PTSD support groups. There are individuals that actually do suffer from it in those groups who have shared with this individual. Betrayal does not adequately describe their reaction.

At first I thought his family and friends were completely unaware of his deceptions. They very well may have been in the beginning. The continual addition of awards to his uniform makes me believe they had to know at some point.

He often used a fallen Marine to make his embellishments seem legit. Cpl Walker was an outstanding Marine. He started his service as an 0811 Artilleryman. Tested for and became RECON. He was a hard charger that loved the Corps. He was sent home on emergency leave to attend the funeral of a family member. Wanting to stand with his brothers and serve he flew back to Beirut at his own expense. Two months later that family had another funeral to attend.

To this day Cpl Walker’s mother maintains her sons bedroom as a shrine to the honorable sacrifice her son paid to the great country, to the Corps, and to his fellow Beirut veterans. Semper Fi Cpl Walker and to your family as well, you are not forgotten Marine.

Now, to those who get offended when someone does a FOIA on you or anyone else…….I don’t give a shit how offended you get. Get over it. You may pin medals you earned to your ass stand on your head and walk backwards for all I care. People like this shitbird got away with his nonsense because people were afraid to question his service. Attacking someone in public is never the right way to go about it. Doing weeks of research is.

    • Former11b says:

Eat me, Dave. You’re only doing a FOIA on Hughes because you don’t like the way he reacted to being harassed in an airport, or the way he chose to display his medals. It was already verified that he had been a Marine in Vietnam, and had earned at least one PH. Your reasons for looking into his record are based on thin bullshit, and are an insult to service that you have no real grounds to disbelieve, service you’ve already shit on by questioning the man’s courage. This clown, on the other hand, has done plenty of questionable things like his the deal with his ribbon rack, which is an adequate justification for pulling his information.

      • Dave Hardin says:

You are right, I didn’t like the way he reacted or the way he displayed his medals. I hope Hughes turns out to be totally legit, and when he does no one will ever question his honorable service again.

As for this guy, he didn’t wear that uniform around other Marines. He would have instantly been called out if he did. All of that was found after a few subtle comments seemed odd.

More often than you know I am asked about someone that turns out to be totally legit. It’s because of scum like this one that veterans have to get over being offended when a FOIA is done.

Come up with a better plan and I am all about it.

        • Former11b says:

Oh, so when Hughes turns out to be legit you’ll take back the stuff you said about him being a pussy, and his weight as an old man somehow being indicative that he wasn’t a real Marine?

          Fuck off.

Again, you didn’t like how he chose to display his medals and his reaction to being harassed by guys that are probably located somewhere close to you on the douchebag spectrum. The real reason you’re running that FOIA is because you came off looking like a complete piece of shit questioning the courage of a twice wounded combat Marine, so you’re grasping at straws in the hopes that you’ll be able to continue to fling shit at the man.

          • Nick Mottola says:

Hey former go fuck a bar stool asshole.

            • Former11b says:

              Well fuck you too, asshole.

            • Dave Hardin says:

Its ok Nick, he got his opinion. He doesnt know me. He doesn’t understand that his size 13 shoes are too small for me and if he actually is 6’3″ he wont be looking down at me.

He is upset because I was disrespectful to a guy with two purple hearts, he may have a point. We shall see.

              • Former11B says:

6’3″ huh? Sounds to me like you should’ve had a couple of those surplus inches added to your dick, maybe then you wouldn’t feel compelled to act like a keyboard commando and shit all over the service of a 66 year old vet.

                • Dave Hardin says:

Well, like I said you may have a point. I got no problem being called out, or admitting if I fuck up.

If it turns out to be the case I will humble myself in front of him personally.

                  He deserves that much.

      • Hondo says:

Sadly, these days an old Russian proverb is unfortunately apt:

Доверяй, но проверяй (doveryai, no proveryai).

The translation is “Trust, but verify.”

        • Peter the Bubblehead says:

I thought that was a Reagan proverb.

        • 11B-Mailclerk says:

This Polish saying is quite useful:

Nie mój cyrc, nie moje malpe.

Not my circus, not my monkeys.

          • Hack Stone says:

You just blew my mind. I was talking to a retired Navy guy at my job at an undisclosed location (undisclosed because the DRC has a bounty on me, not because it is a SCIF), and he used that exact same expression. I told him that I never heard it before, and with his permission, would like to use at an appropriate occasion.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

Listen, Hardass, I want to know more than just what service this jackwagon had, if any. I want to know where he was born and when. If he’s who I think he is, I knew his mother and his father, and I knew him when he was a kid.

      Don’t argue with me.

  7. Bobo says:

I’ve never worn a Marine uniform, but I’m pretty sure that I could do a better job of pulling it off than this guy.

  8. HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

Couldn’t make it a month at MCRD and was out… guess the umbilical curd couldn’t reach that far for him.

As for using the name of a REAL HERO as his “battle buddy”, there’s a real special place in Hell for Randy Ray Ward… and the barbed cock of Satan waiting for him.

  9. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

So if I’m right, Ward has less time in service than John Giduck!!

  10. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

I have more time in the waters off Beirut than this POS had on active duty:

24 June 1982: In the Mediterranean – A port bow view of Valdez underway. The Valdez, part of Task Group 6, is taking part in the transfer of Americans and third nation personnel from Juniyah, Lebanon, to Larnaca, Cyprus. (U.S. Navy photo DVID #DN-SN-82-08216 from the Defense Visual Information Center)

  11. AverageNCO says:

An E4 with a Defense MSM? I’m sure he’ll say it was for battlefield heroics. We know why that makes no sense, but I’m sure he doesn’t. I was going to say there is no way an E4 would ever rate that decoration, but I’m sure it’s happened somewhere. I’m happy to hear the scenarios where it did occur. Somehow I’m envisioning a horny flag officer who enjoyed the way a female E4 made coffee in the morning…other than that I don’t see a corporal/specialist/PO3/senior airman getting that medal.

    • CLAW says:

And in every picture of him in a dress uniform, the Combat Action Ribbon is upside down.

Yep, one of my pet peeves,(and I’m Army) but it’s the very first clue to whether a POS Scumdog poser/embellisher is legit or not.

  12. Ex-PH2 says:

When and where was this douchewad born? If he’s who I think he is, I knew his mother and I will ream his ass a new butthole the size of Green Thumb’s left foot.

    I mean it. Find out!

    • Hondo says:

No POB, possible DOB (search the doc for “longwood”).

    • Puppee the Bounty Hunter says:

Ex-PH2 – Ward’s background is sketchy. His previous addresses were IL and St. Louis, MO. He entered the USMC in San Diego, but it is unsure why. Not sure of Home of Record at time of entry, but he was just a few months over 17 y/o. He has ties to Los Angeles CA and has a brother in Australia by the name of Harford. There still seems to be some connection to Los Angeles but not sure why/who. With this limited information, there is probability that there was a broken family and they went with separate parents. Maybe he went in the USMC at 17 to escape a bad family situation – who knows? Hope this helps.

      Brother: https://www.facebook.com/john.harford.520?fref=ts

  13. Silentium Est Aureum says:

I’ve got more time on the shitter at a backing bell eating strawberry ice cream that this guy had in the Corps.

Doesn’t even rate being called Marine, since he couldn’t even hack boot.

  14. j says:

Missing a button on his uniform? And one hash mark, already an E-4??? What’s missing from this picture? The folks in the Longwood, Fl. area can be expecting some Longtalks from some of the posters on this site.

Isn’t it about time to form a United States Phony Corps for this and all other posters?

  15. Daisy Cutter says:

How come Ward does not show up at the top of Stolen Valor listing? Does a switched need flipped?

    • Dave Hardin says:

Damn, and I am the one called an asshole around here. Give the man break, you can sure be a Daisy sometimes.

      • Daisy Cutter says:

Can you fault somebody for trying to save a few mouse clicks?

Laws of nature mandate that there can only be one asshole. Unless you are a frog, then you have a cloaca. There are no assholes in the frog world.

        • Dave Hardin says:

Well ain’t that some shit. 3 holes in one. WTF kind of evolutionary mishap was that? It just doesn’t have a ring to it.

Cloaca Hat, nah sounds like an over priced drink you order in a gay bar.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

          • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Well if it gets her tipsy enough to say “yes” I bet you’d..
AAWW SHIT, ME TOO, that was me in MY younger years… 😀

  16. Daisy Cutter says:

Ward self-identifies as a Recon Combat Marine.

Maybe the world should try and appreciate his inner self wanting to emerge and express itself?

You can’t get to a butterfly without a little pupa.

  17. MrBill says:

Ward has now thoroughly scrubbed his Facebook page. Only one photo (non-military) and a couple innocuous posts from 2013 are left.

    • Daisy Cutter says:

Mr. Mom’s Attic store on ebay seems to have purged all of the Beirut items since last night.

      I wonder what that means?

  18. Dalton Coldiron says:

Why does a corporal have a DMSM? What a douche bag! I would not let fefe anywhere near this douche nozzle!

On a serious note this guy is a chode.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

He’s a chode and you aren’t, bunny sniffer?

Are you still claiming to be a world-class bull rider, when in fact, you’re only a potato-peeling bull-shitter?

      • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

Ex-PH2…. dude is a bunni felcher… sucks bull semen for fun at the local gay bar. Here is his favorite song (Possibly NSFW – may cause gastric reflux and spewing at keyboards/screens)

      • Dalton Coldiron says:

Ex-Ph2 you know want my iron stick.

Please leave my bunny fefe out of this. I honestly don’t get why you are attacking me or my bunny? I’ve never done anything to anybody….except giving the ladies my hot iron rod 😉 they seem to enjoy it.

        • Ex-PH2 says:

          Iron stick?

Damn! Hot tea through the sinuses is not exactly pleasant!

I have needles in my sewing box with more girth!

Happy to tell you this, rabbit molester: I’m used to REAL men. Mow go call your mother and tell her she wants you.

        • CLAW says:

          Dude. Bunni-Boi. Dipshit.

See what you get when you poke the Lioness.

You say “Please leave my bunny fefe out of this.” So, straight up question:

Is fefe a buck or a doe? Just wanting to figure out your orientation when it comes to bunny love.

But why is it every time I hear The Great Pretender by the Platters I think of you?
Or when I hear Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison all I can think of is you whispering sweet nothings into fefe’s ear late at night under the covers?

          Once again, where’s that DD214?

        • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

HEY ya bunny-fluffing dingleberry on an inbred SwampDonkey’s ass, are you gonna cough up a DD214 anytime soon, o little bunny-fluffing foo-foo?

    • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

OH REALLY, my little bunny fart-sniffing pile of poodle crap?

    • CLAW says:

I’m thinking Bunni-Boi has learned a new word because he has now used it on three different comments.

I admit that I had never seen or heard of it, so I looked it up in the Urban Dictionary.

Seems to mean the same thing as a deployment sock or some other sort of a vagina substitute.

I actually think that “fefe” is the name of his pet rabbit and he uses the bunny for that purpose, late at night, in the dark, under the covers, and after he has received his warm water enema from his Mee-Ma.

Anyway, Bunni-Boi, have you laid out the .62 cents yet for an envelope w/stamp to mail that “proof” DD214 to Jonn yet? The ball is in your court. We await your answer.

    • Hondo says:

      Where’s the DD214, bunni-boi?

      • Ex-PH2 says:

He doesn’t have one. Never did.

      • Dalton Coldiron says:

Dude, I’ll send it to you when I get a chance. I’ve been real busy lately. I told you I don’t own a scanner and my computer has a virus, and the nearest kinkos is far away and I do get out of work at a reasonable hour to get to the library. I went to Walmart and they said they don’t sel thumb drives anymore and that is so 2006.
Brah I am trying I might be able to use a friends scanner but he’s out of town u til after thanksgiving. I asked to use one of my friends computers and scanners but he can’t pick me up and I don’t have a car this week. I’ll get it to you soon. My dd214 will be legit so legit that it will be 2 legit to quit.

        • the Al says:

Yeah, I’m going to have call bullshit on Walmart not selling thumb drives, considering I picked some up from them a couple of weeks ago. Keep trying, bunny molester

          • Dalton Coldiron says:

Hey brah al Wal marts sell different stuff. I went to mine and they didn’t have any. I am also on a budget right now a very tight budget and can’t afford one right now. Don’t worry I will get it to you soon.

I asked a buddy of mine to pick me up and he has a flat tire but my other buddy said I can use his computer when he gets back after the Holidays. I will clear my name soon enough.

I’m not computer literate I’m sorry I ride bulls for a living and I rodeo. I live a very simplistic life. I also plan on using my gi bill to attend Oklahoma state university GO POKES!

Also it’s weird you guys are bringing fefe into this?!?! I own a bunny what’s the big deal! It’s a normal pet. I like bunnies, booze and bitches. Also who ever said I had a small penis that is uncalled for. We are all soldiers here and we show each other respect. Remember the army core values. Also the ladies in Perry OK call me Dalton longiron if you catch my drift. I use the longiron all night getting a hole in one.

On a serious note I did try to go get a stamp but the grocery store ran out and the post office is closed and I will go tomorrow but I don’t want to send the originals so I need to find a copier. I’m trying to clear my name and really want to. This is a bad time in my life and I would appreciate some support.

            • the Al says:

So they were sold out or they didn’t have a slot for them? I bet I know the answer- if you even really bothered to look at Walmart

            • Jarhead says:

              O. K. Coldiron. Finally you ran into someone with a couple of friends in the rodeo business. Do you use your own name? Give us the list of the last three rodeos you participated in, as well as dates. This will be a lot easier than having to rustle up a D D 214. You surely wouldn’t mind having comments aired from your rodeo friends, would you?

            • HMCS (FMF) ret. says:

            • Ex-PH2 says:

You want to clear your name?

Stop being an asshole, a liar and a walking ad for birth control. And you really should consider having surgery: get your mouth sewn shut.

            • Hondo says:

You say you’re not computer literate, bunni-boi? No problem.

The Post Office is open today and tomorrow, as well as Friday and Saturday. The Post Office will sell you a postage-paid letter sized envelope for 62 cents.

I’m sure you know how to use a photocopier and mail a letter. So here’s what you need to do.

              1. Find a photocopier.
              2. Photocopy your “DD214”. Make sure you copy it normal size – e.g., on letter or legal paper, without reduction or magnification.
              3. Go to the Post Office and spend 62 cents on a postage-paid envelope.
              4. Address that envelope to Jonn. His address is found under the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of this page. Make sure you write legibly and copy the address correctly.
              5. Put the photocopy of your “DD214” in the addressed, postage-paid envelope you bought in step 3 and addressed in step 4.
              6. Seal the envelope.
              7. Drop the sealed and addressed postage-paid envelope containing the photocopy of your “DD214” in the outgoing mail box before you leave the Post Office.

Of course, that means you’d actually have to have a DD214. However, you’ve lied in the past about your military record. I’m guessing you’re lying about it again now, and you “no gots” a DD214 showing anything other than you’re an IET washout – if you even have that.

Put up or shut up time, fefe-forker. Put up or shut up.

        • Ex-PH2 says:

Wow, lapinoiditis, you just do not know when to quit with the lies, do you?

WalMart has SanDisk 8GB drives for $7.62.

Try harder. Some of us know how to use computers. You barely know how to use your two working brain cells.

        • A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Dalton Coldiron (GH! :D), PUT UP OR SHUT UP, o bunny sphincter-sniffing pile of poodle shit!!

      • Green Thumb says:

        On Phildo’s nightstand.

    • MrBill says:

One ridiculous excuse after another. This kid claims he knows less about computers than us middle-agers. Right.

Are we sure this isn’t a parody account?

    • Airdale USN says:

Doesn’t matter what rank you are to have a Defense Meritorious Service Medal as long as you where in a Joint activity. This guy is a loser didn’t even finish boot!!

  19. LCpl Nelson says:

this latest dickweasle wanna be Beirut Vet
Is just as pussified as the rest of them.
Mr. Mom’s Attick??? That shoulda been a red flag itself. He appears one day and claims he’s suicidal. Some legit Beirut Vets that were on the ground that actually suffer from PTS symptoms offered/tried to help him. He appears a few hours later wanting to sell some Beirut related coins or some shit. He’s called out on it only to disappear once again. Supposedly real Beirut Vets defend him. The ones called him out are vilified and called finger pointers and accused of turning their backs on a “brother”. He slithers away unscathed while the rest involved are left to deal with the aftermath.
Since wearing a CAR and profiting monetarily while posing as a Beirut Vet are covered under the SV laws we will see to it that he pays for this shit. Removing any references to Beirut from his profit driven trinket website won’t save his sorry ass now.

  20. Cpl/Major Mike says:

“Battle Buddy”, who in the hell came up with that term, somebody from Sesame Street?

  21. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

    I am not tracking!

  22. OldManchu says:

    That missing fucking button though….

  23. Jarhead says:

Getting easier and easier to find these frauds. Enter Anywho on Google and up pops his name, address, and phone number in Longwood, Fl.
Now why am I thinking this asshole is going to become VERY popular in the next day or so?
Regrettably, it’s easier to locate a phony POSER by name, address, and phone number than it is to find someone in the media with the balls or interest in exposing psychopaths like this.

    • Jarhead says:

Here we go again. Those interested, please email this reporter named Tom Sweeney at television station News 13 in the immediate area. Email address is newsdesk@mynews13.com Enough emails and he will feel obligated to run with this story.

  24. Hack Stone says:

Has Daniel Bernath appointed himself as legal counsel for this fine upstanding citizen yet?

  25. Tim Behling says:

First I’d like to say thank you to all who have served, and/or are currently serving. I asked, and was accepted into this group awhile back in support of my neighbor and friend, who up until Monday morning, was a Beirut Veteran in my eyes.

When you have a friend or family member that tells you things, you tend to believe them. If you’re not military, like me, you don’t always look at the ribbons and medals. I don’t pay attention to the dress, but the individual. Call me naïve, but I don’t. So reading the posts about his friends and family should have known, or his friends and family are just as guilty, to me is very disheartening. This is all a shock to those of us who call Randy our friend. I know my first thoughts wtf, and then after it sunk in are now, what about his family. I can’t even imagine.

I’d like to take a moment to ask you all to refrain from sending messages, or talking bad about the family. Whether or not you think the man deserves it, his wife and kids most certainly do. They do not need to be brought down by comments about how they should have known. We have all been lied into, and some of us have been the liars in the past. Maybe not to this level, but it has happened. Please show the rest of the family the respect that I know you all have. Do what you feel you should to the man, but please keep the family out of it.

Thank you again for all that you have put on the line, lost, and served.

    • Daisy Cutter says:

Sounds like a theme of “this family is going through a difficult time, please respect their privacy at this time.”

Strikes me as a little bit of a straw man argument as I don’t think anyone advanced the notion that people should go after Ward’s family. I could have missed something, though.

If the metaphorical hostiles are circling the cabin and it is taking a lot of metaphorical flaming arrows, maybe the man of the house should step outside and draw any potential attention away from his family? Just a thought.

The rule of thumb with a lot of these types of situations is to get out front and take control of the situation. But, hunkering down, wincing and hoping it all goes away soon is also a strategy.

      Well said Tim

I appreciate your apparently heart felt sentiments. There already had been a huge effort to keep family members out of the public exposure.

There are those close to him that have perused a military career in their own right, I have nothing but respect for that and hope they continue to achieve great things.

There are those who have dedicated a good portion of their lives to support Beirut Veterans that were caught up in this. This has take a toll on them and their families. I honor the great things and sacrifice they have made for the entire Beirut Community over decades. They are good people, with a compassion for helping others.

Randy has had ample time to respond in some manner. Deleting your Facebook account and deleting Beirut items from your store is not an apology. Sadly he appears to be one of these guys that will fad off into obscurity and make no attempt to admit his dishonesty.

His family is not the only one devastated by his lies. You see only his, I see many more of them. This particular case hurt them. It hurt the entire community. Good men, better men than I, who served in Beirut were treated poorly for even bringing the matter up. They too deserve an apology.

Great care was taken to leave the family members and those who were taken in by his lies out of the blog.

Tim……Regrettable for you that you were one of how many that believed an apparent good liar. No one on this site ever intends to hurt family members of an exposed PHONY POS. Keep in mind most all on this site have suffered the experiences your former friend imagined, for his personal gain by the way. If the media were not to print stories of thugs who steal, abuse, molest, murder, etc. then I suppose no family members would be affected. But the media, just as this site never attacks the family members, unless they were part of the deed. We’ll likely continue going after this former friend of yours until he ends up where he belongs….in the slammer. Meanwhile, you can rest assured the family of this turd will never be attacked. this is a class web site with class posters. You might have confused us with National Enquirer for some unknown reason.
Lest I forget, FUCK that piece of shit neighbor/friend of yours. May he rot in HELL for disgracing the many who gave their lives in Beirut, and ANY other conflict this country has ever been involved in.
When his family ends up on food stamps, don’t blame us or this web site.
