Jose Qualls; phony wounded Marine

| June 27, 2016

Jose Qualls

Once again, the folks at Military Phony send us their hard work on this fellow, Jose Timoteo Qualls. He claims 24 years of service and, as you can see from the picture above, he thinks highly of his service – two Purple Heart Medals, a Combat Action Ribbon, a “scuba bubble” and jump wings. Here is one of his profiles;

It was nice of the Force Recon folks to let him work in all of those other places (Social Security Administration, the VA, etc…) despite their Optempo during the global war against terror, wasn’t it?

He pays respect to a real fallen Marine with his BS story at an online memorial;

The Marine Corps has a different version of his career than the one he claims;

Jose Qualls Assignments

The Jose Qualls whose records the Marine Corps has did 13 months of service (as compared to the 24 years that he claims) and rocketed up to Lance Corporal, E-3 (he claims that he was a Master Sergeant, an E-8) in that time period. No medals, no special training other than as a field wireman. Not quite as sexy as Force Recon, I guess. No assignments to Recon units. Just that ,45 caliber bullet-shaped cranium and a Marksmanship Badge.

    Jose Qualls – Which conflict were you in during November 1992 where you were awarded the Purple Heart for wounds?

    Quite an impressive company website. Did he copy Psaul, or did Psaul copy him? It is just as impressive as anything that Psaul would put on the intertubes.

  4. Hack Stone says:

    I just took a look at the Maryland Judiciary Case Search, and a Jose Quallstek has quite a few entries regarding criminal, traffic and bankruptcy cases. He must be following the Psaul Business Plan.

    A theft charge in January 1992, October of 1992 pled guilty to marijuana distribution, civil judgment against him October 2000, sued by his condo board about the same time, nine additional criminal cases between February 2004 and October 2012, and eighteen seperate court appearances between January 2011 and February 2015 for traffic violations. Like they always say on this blog, stolen valor is just the tip of the iceberg.

      Hmm. According to MD court records, it looks like someone in MD got a plea-bargained sentence of 5 years (90 days in custody with rest as supervised probation) for that guilty plea to the possession with intent charge.

      Now, I’m not a lawyer. So maybe someone can help out here.

      What’s the term for someone who’s been convicted of a crime having a maximum sentence of imprisonment of in excess of 1 year?

      • Hack Stone says:

        A Justice involved individual?

      • HMCS(FMF) ret. says:

        Bubba, Thor, Julio and Mr. “Tiny’s” Love slave?

        Wide Receiver on the prison’s football team?

        Phildo impaler?

      • jarhead says:

        Not an attorney, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. The proper and correct legal term you seek is:

        A Low Life Piece of Shit

    • Jonn Lilyea says:

      It looks like Qualls has the same problem as Scaletta – his criminal history covers the entire GWOT period. Unless he got his Purple Hearts for fighting terrorists in Prince George County, it doesn’t look like he ever left Maryland. That arrest in 1992 for Possession with intent to distribute wouldn’t look good at a Master Sergeant promotion board.

    • Silentium Est Aureum says:

      And how many of them do you think he divulged to potential employers, hmmmm?

  5. Just An Old Dog says:

    I havent commented on this yet, as “The Cockmole Jose Qualls” has already been thoroughly disected on here.
    What’s really the kicker is he went to a memorial page for one of our fallen and showed his ass.
    “Simper Fi”?
    You illiterate shitstain, go crawl in a sewer and expire.

  6. TheChief says:

    I am very confused by all of this. DD214 says one thing, then he claims in his tribute to a fallen soldier that he got out after 15 years and is a gysgt. Then he blasts us saying he got his master Sgt. At 19 years so he has 4 hash marks instead of five. But then his resume states 24 years of service.

    In my experience when things are so mashed up and confused, it’s not me that is confused but the author who is. I don’t know how you confuse your rank, your years of service, and what a hash mark is for unless you have a TBI or don’t know what you’re talking about.

    I can’t wait to hear this guys story about how he flung himself on a TOW missile to save his buddies, a troop of nuns and a gaggle of homeless orphans that he later adopted.

  7. Hack Stone says:

    Just sending some love out to Jose Qualls. Don’t worry, MSgt, we are still thinking about you. Make sure to touch base with your sponsor, Jared Stern of Rockville. He will let you know everything that you need to be aware of to have a successful career as an exposed poser. First lesson is how to piss in a Gatorade bottle while sitting in a municipal parking garage.

    Ok, here we are almost a month later. Any proof yet from ‘Kill’em all Qualls’?

    I’ll go with, “NO,” for $1000, Alex.
