Glenn Michael Rowe; phony SEAL

| September 11, 2017

Another Monday, another phony SEAL from our partners at Phony Warriors. This one, Glenn Rowe, also claims a Silver Star and a Purple Heart;

His local fire station even included him in a handpainted mural to honor his SEAL-ship;

Yeah, but no. According to his records, he served 30 years in the Navy and retired as a DKCS – an E-8 Disbursing clerk. No SEAL training, no parachute training, just a clerk;

He’s real sorry that he was caught, though;

  1. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

    DK + IC = …

    • thebesig says:

BWAAAAAAAHAAAAAHAAAAAHAAAA! The guy retired with 30 years under his belt. He could’ve stood on that alone, but apparently that wasn’t enough. 🙄

  2. Ret_25X says:

Wow…did 30 and retired as an E-8 and had to make up stories…

He had every opportunity to be a life taker but decided being a clerk was more his speed. Full respect for that…not everyone can or should be a kinetic type.

But in God’s name, stop lying about it! Everyone who matters knows intuitively that the lie is what it is…

  3. OldManchu says:

You dumb stupid ass fucking son of a bitch!

  4. 26Limabeans says:

Will there be door prize for the one millionth fake SEAL to appear on TAH? Gotta be getting close to that day.

  5. Club Manager says:

Nothing to be ashamed of having served as a clerk, they support mission. As for only E-8 in 30, he joined as Nam was winding down and retired before 9-11 and I imagine that was a period of slow rank. If the awards listed span his entire career, that indicates he was a lackluster sailor at best. No MSM, even at retirement but he did receive the prestigious NDSM. I will endeavor to pass this post on to his local fire department.

    • Doc Savage says:

Not being a water warrior; is an MSM considered normal for retirement at E-8 in the Navy?

      • Silentium Est Aureum says:

As a Command Master Chief or such, that seems to be pretty standard.

You would think a 30-year career would have rated at least a couple of Navy Commendation Medals, at least. But whateva.

I would have thought the Chief next to him would have delivered a swift throat punch when he saw the jump wings above the Trident and ESWS all stacked together.

        • IDC SARC says:

am I missing something?…his FOIA contains two NAMs and 2 NCMs

          • Silentium Est Aureum says:

            You’re not.

I cannot brain today, I haz teh fucking dum.

Either way, MCPO is right–you do 30, you better be a Master Chief.

Of course, back when he was in there wasn’t the 26 year HYT for Senior Chief like there is today.

      • Club Manager says:

I received my oak leaf cluster when I retired as a CW2 from the Army at 20. Then again, I was a WW1 (i.e. water walker first class :>) #1 son received a MSM when he retired as a MSgt from the Air Force at 20 and he was an achiever. You would think any salt worth a shit would receive one after 30.

        • IDC SARC says:

The Navy doesn’t give out MSMs to senior enlisted the way other services do IME.

I’ve seen plenty of good MCPOs without MSMs.

          • IDC SARC says:

…in contrast most SFCs and above when they leave here where I work on Bragg get MSMs.

          • Mick says:

In my experience, it was pretty much the same in the Marine Corps regarding MSMs for senior enlisted Marines.

Every once in a while you’d see a SgtMaj or MGySgt with an MSM, but it wasn’t very common, and those who had them had typically done a tour at HQMC or Quantico.

That said, I honestly don’t remember many MSMs being given out to anyone out in FMF units at the battalion/squadron level.

            • IDC SARC says:

True…and my experience, because of my NEC, meant I was around exponentially more Marines than Navy folks anyway…so I concur.

  6. IDC SARC says:

At the fukking graveside?!…..boot to the head!

    Cocksucker

  7. sj says:

    Florida. Again.

  8. AnotherPat says:

The picture of him on the Mural wearing those dark sunglasses? H.I.L.A.R.I.O.S. Why is that song “Three Blind Mice”going thru my head?😎

  9. QM1 says:

Hmmm, was a Senior Chief or an E-8?

    • Ret_25X says:

      definitely an E-8…

      • SFC D says:

Army types would refer to him as a SPEC 8. Couldn’t lead a turd down the bowl.

        • Mayehm says:

          Couldn’t lead a pack o’pedophiles to a pre-school.

        • Ret_25X says:

many of the folks no longer know the reference to SPEC-8….

          • Ncat says:

True. The specialist ranks (besides E-4 of course) went away in the eighties,I think, and, if I’ve heard rightly, there were few if any ever promoted to SP8 or SP9.

            • Ret_25X says:

              I remember meeting one SP5…never saw a SP6.

              A SP8 must have been a unicorn…LOL

            • Claw says:

              Here’s the 411:

In 1958 Specialist 8 and 9 were created.

In 1968 when the Army added the rank of Command Sergeant Major, the Specialist ranks at E-8 and E-9 were abolished without anyone ever being promoted to those levels.

              1978 – Specialist7 discontinued.

              1985 – Specialist5 and 6 discontinued.

              Spec7’s were the unicorns.

              • Claw says:

Side note: I spent five years as a Spec5 (76 series supply) before being promoted to SSG and my brother (91 series medic) spent many years swapping back and forth between SP6 and SSG depending on what job/unit he was in.

              • Ret_25X says:

in 1987 we had one SP5 (2-502 INF) until about March when he got his stripes. I think he was a medic….

He was the only one I ever met….

              • NormanS says:

I enlisted in the CA-ARNG in 1975. Co. B, 2-159th Infantry. We had a SP7 mess steward. Also, I was promoted from Sp4 to Sp5 at the end of my first year in, an inducement to extend for two years.

  10. Green Thumb says:

    Turd.

And this ass clown appears to wearing his phony finery at a funeral.

    Extra turd.

  11. Deplorable B Woodman says:

“I’m just a clerk, just a lowly, lowly clerk.”

  12. IDC SARC says:

Looks like 2 purple hearts..and I see an RVN Vietnam Campaign Medal poking through his fruit salad, so he also apparently claims Vietnam Veteran Status. All sorts of wrong…and a phony tattoo WTFO?

    • 26Limabeans says:

      “Vietnam Campaign Medal”
Yep, right under what I thought was an ARCOM. The Navy award is very similar minus the thin white lines in the middle.

  13. Ex-PH2 says:

He gets to retire as a Senior Chief? Is he the asshole who lost my frakkin’ payroll record twice and refused to look for it?

Was he ever stationed in Philadelphia?

    • Ex-PH2 says:

I should have said ‘WHEN was he in Philadelphia’, not was he? If he’s the asshole that lost my payroll records twice, when I had rent and bills to pay, I should sue his goddam ass into the ground. I had to go borrow money just to make ends meet. That asshole owes me fucking money.

      • sj says:

Whoa! Ex is pissed! Haven’t see that level before.

        • Claw says:

Just wait until she gets to the “I want to kick his gonads to the roof of his mouth” level.

          That’s when shit gets real.

        • 26Limabeans says:

I think she is booking a flight to Lehigh Acres FL as I type.
Irma is not this guy’s biggest problem.

      • PRCS(AW/SW) Ret. says:

This is one arena in which I was lucky – did 23 years without a single pay issue.

That said, I would estimate that 1/3 of the DKs I knew eventually had NCIS sniffing around due to certain “flexibilities” in their accounting practices where their own paycheck was concerned..

    • Mayhem says:

Why yes (slowly backs away from corner) Yes, he is and he said he would gladly do it again. (Takes off at a full sprint)

      • Bill M says:

Mayhem does “The Year of Living Dangerously” at TAH. Will Ex catch him? Is there really a one year statute of limitations? Only time will tell.

  14. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

That pisspants no-load pus-nuts bologna pony riding booger-munching thumb sucking bed wetting glittery gargoyle gonad-gazing bumfucked toad shit needs to have his ass kicked up between his ears.

  15. Daisy Cutter says:

    There I was…

…knee deep in pencil shavings and adding machine tape on midnight before a payday, jamming through last second pay allotments and NJP penalty adjustments.

Suddently, there was a knock at the door. I prayed for a mission, and for my sins they gave me one. Delivered it up like room service. When it was over, I’d never want another.

“SADDLE UP” the general’s errand boy yelled through the door. “Pull up your zipper and grab your flippers, this one’s with the SEAL team!”

  16. Old 1SG, US Army (Retired) says:

Even a crusty old soldier knows that jump wings would not be worn over the SEAL Trident… geezz and he was in the Navy?

    What a douche bag!

  17. lmn0351 says:

getting really tired of these posers.rot in hell you cocksucker

  18. Rock says:

At least he made sure to pin on his ESWS.

Always remember, the Black Shoe Navy is the REAL NAVY. Go Surface Warriors!

  19. Window Licker says:

Anybody notice the SEAL trident tattoo on his right arm? Look closely. This dipshit is into it balls deep. He does not just put on a uniform, he lives the lie.

  20. DefendUSA64 says:

    D-I-C-K.

  21. HT3 '83-'87 says:

30 years & out as an E8 is a pretty sweet deal, and then he steps on his dick with this wannabe SEAL bullshit. Not enough ‘at-a-boys’, back slaps, and free beers coming his way being a pay clerk, so he hit the local flea market & The Internets to buy him his “hero kit”. Fuck you, Chief…just fuck you!

  22. Guard Bum says:

I know it isnt right but I have a particular loathing of disbursing clerks from my Marine Corps days and later USPF&O from my AGR days. I am sure there are honorable men and women serving in those areas…I just never met any of them.

So that may color my remarks but FUCK this guy. Fuck him that fucking fuck and I hope they discover he has been over paid his retirement for the past 15 years and ends up NPD for years and ends up sucking dick in a back alley for $10 a pop just to pay for food.

I also hope his dog rejects him and runs away and finds a new home. Fuck him.

  23. Former Co-Worker says:

I Just learned of this. He used to be the secretary where at a higher ed institution in Michigan. He would tell stories of his days as a SEAL. Sad to learn the truth 🙁
