Frankie Starz aka Frank Roberto; phony combat Marine

| September 30, 2017 | 37 Comments

Our partners at Military Phonies share their work on this fellow Frank Roberto who wrestles professionally under the name Frankie Starz. He claims that he served in Marine Recon units and with the elite ANGLICO (Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company).

He claims these awards, including the Combat Action Ribbon and, of course, jump wings;

Even in conversations on social media;

But, the National Personnel Records Center disagrees;

He served a little over two-and-a-half years, he earned the Southwest Asia Service Medal (with one service star, not the two stars that he has on his ribbon in the picture above) because he was in Kuwait after Desert Storm for some reason, so, no, there’s no Combat Action Ribbon.

And, oh, he went AWOL for a couple of days which eventually led to some corrective custody time and probably resulted in his early discharge. But, there’s no record of him being assigned to a Recon unit or ANGLICO, there’s no airborne training – everyone wants to wear the wings, no one wants to lug the parachute off the Drop Zone.

I guess all of these entertainers went AWOL while they were punching their tickets in the Marines.

  6. Daedalus says:

    Wow, another wrestler that’s a poser. At least he isn’t claiming to be a SEAL and then become a Nazi after people called him out. Either that guy was trying to keep the kayfabe going, or he was actually a fucking nutjob.

    This asshole still has his FB comments open too, I think I’m going to expose this taintlicker there.

    • Daedalus says:

      Never mind, the fucking coward closed his comments and scrubbed his FB. Still left the combat vet thing on his bio too. Loves to massage his ego with shit he hasn’t done, I guess.

  7. Scotty says:

    He isn’t very smart either considering a simple google search showed that 2/8 Marines were not deployed to Desert Storm.

    • Guard Bum says:

      2/8 was BLT 2/8 at that time as part of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable)and participated in Operation Provide Comfort in Northern Iraq which was an operation that was after the main war but considered part of Sesert Storm.

      I was the PersO and LegalO for 2/8 when he was there and it would have been me that processed him (there were more than a few so I don’t remember him specifically.

      He also wasn’t in Kuwait, we went into northern Iraq for Operation Provide Comfort and that is where he would rate the SWASM and we also got the JMUA and HSM from that deployment.

      We lost several Marines on that operation including one of my Marines (Sgt Denton)who was killed riding security on a water resupply truck.

  11. Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 says:

    This guy must be a knucklehead. As Comphibron 8, we used to operate in the Caribbean and had a Marine BLT out of Camp Lejuenne (hope I spelled it right) which rode with us many times. we once had Force Marine Recon with us whom were very impressive. These guys used to climb heavy manila ropes from the hanger bay over head, Jump from those 34’s into the water and invited ships company for martial arts lessons if we wanted to learn the art of self defense. These guys also carried those WW2 .45 cal. grease guns which if I remember were phosphate green colored. Great bunch. Is there Anyone out there who was in the same time as I was, and in the same area?

  12. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

    I assume this assclown is what USMC Vets would refer to as “Ex-Marine. I hereby officially motion for The Official TAH Wall of Insults®™ to be raised against Frankie Starz/Frank Roberto/Jimmy Janos JUNIOR.

  13. Skidmark says:

    Had this nice little interaction with him this morning, then he immediately deleted the page. I C&P’d the link here thinking it would show the screenshot I got seconds before he deleted the page, but it looks like it’s just a hyperlink. Any suggestions on how to just load the picture?

  14. Green Thumb says:

    I think a footprint would look good on this clown’s face.

    Another substandard discharge hero.

  15. CWORet says:

    “I think a Bootprint would look good on this clown’s face.”

    “Another substandard discharge shit-bird hero.”

    There, FIFY
