NCOs fired from White House detail

| November 22, 2017 | 48 Comments

According to Fox News, four Army non-commissioned officers (sergeants) were fired from the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) which runs technical support for secure communications, after it was discovered that, while in Vietnam, they brought women back to their hotels rooms.

The service members, according to The Post, could lose their security clearance or be court-martialed if found guilty.

In August, four other soldiers were booted from the specialized assignment when they brought women back to their hotel in Panama.

I guess they don’t learn their lessons very well.

    DOH !!!!
“Stupid is as stupid does Lt Dan”…..

  2. Sarge says:

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say its B D and E:

Easy way to lose a clearance fast…

  3. Hayabusa says:

Alcohol and thinking with the little head instead of the big one have been the downfall of countless men since time immemorial.

  4. Sj says:

And WHCA is extremely difficult to get assigned to. Really best of the best of commo folks. High pressure and constant, unpredictable, TDY.

Another case of there not being enough blood to operate both heads at the same time.

    • Ret_25X says:

I don’t know what WHCA you are talking about, but my experience with WHCA is not the experience one would have working with the “best of the best of commo folks”. More like “some of the better, many of the mediocre”.

      • sj says:

I am a geezer so the Era I’m talking about was 60s. A W2 that worked for me in the 82nd got drafted for WHCA and he was dang sharp. He raved about the troops and my brief encounters with them were good.

My bad for assuming things hadn’t changed … wouldn’t think that duty would slack but the Secret Service has fallen too.

        • Sj says:

Well then, how about that commo unit at McDill? Think it was called the Joint Communications Support Element? I was always impressed with them and their quick reaction. Tried to get in but assignment/slots never aligned.

      • SFC D says:

Hardest part of getting into WHCA is the clearance, nobody cares about skills. A previous WHCA CSM was once my 1SG, the only words I have to describe him are “arrogant ignorant self aggrandizing total piece of non-communicating shit”.

  5. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

They should be discharged for fucking commie whores while serving this great nation.

I know fighting a third world shithole has consumed our attention for almost two decades now, but there are two far more tangible threats to our well being than some goat fuckers in Afghanistan and Iraq…we ignore them at our own peril.

    • Yef says:

China and Russia, in that order.

As a matter of fact, I am nowhere near as concerned with Russia as I am with China. With and 11 trillion dollars GDP to our 18, they are the only ones closing on us.

I mean, South Korea has the same GDP than Russia, with only a 3rd of the population and none of the natural resources in Siberia.

    • Weekend Warrior in Texas says:

Tangible threats as in where we might wind up in unified land warfare?

  6. PFM says:

Hell, maybe those knuckleheads can apply at the Secret Service? Just send them to Polk for the duration of their terms and then boot em. Might help to focus their minds…

  7. Claw says:

And in about ten years there’ll be eight new embellishers talking about how bad the shit was during their “tours” in 2017 Vietnam and Panama./s

    • Mason says:

Knew a guy when I was in who shot himself in the leg reloading a .22LR rifle. I assume he was trying to get out, since he was like Cpl Klinger at times trying to exit the USAF. I told him back then that one day he’d be telling stories about how “I got shot when I was in the Air Force” and what is was like “to shoot a man.”

  8. Cowpill says:

Oooo mi so horny, me love you long time!

    • Claw says:

      Correct pronunciation is important:

      “me rove you rong time.”/s

Hmmm, wonder if rong time is still a carton of Kools?

      • Perry Gaskill says:

I don’t know about you, Claw, but my first thought was who were the chicks pitching the “You buy me Saigon tea, me love you long time, GI” line. Were they former Vung Tau bar girls who’ve been waiting all these years to go back in business, or were they grand-daughters who’ve picked up a trade handed down sort of like a journeyman plumber?

      • NHSparky says:

Make sure you only fuck the ones that cough!

    • Ex-PH2 says:

Oh, stop quoting Full Metal Jacket!

It goes like this: “Sure, soldier, he number one with Phuong. I love you, no shit, buy me drink, I give you numbah one blowjob long time. Come on. Phuong show GI real good time.” And it only costs 4,000 piastres.

  9. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

If you pay for companionship anywhere, you are likely supporting human trafficking and or sexual exploitation of a segment of a population.

The memo on this went out YEARS ago and the practice is on its face is wrong.

    The firings are well deserved.

    Nothing further.

  10. Carlton G. Long says:

And now, soldiers who are coming back from NTC rotations will have the spend their first day back getting power point briefings rather than an extra day off to spend with loved ones.

  11. Sapper3307 says:

Were any of the NCOs females?
Enquiring minds want to know/ just sayen.

  12. PFM says:

I used to do PSD, and the unwritten Commandment was “Thou shalt never, ever do anything to discredit the Boss”. Guaranteed to be the fastest way to a shit post. As I once heard a two star tell his PSD in Baghdad after they messed up – “If you can’t handle this I can have you walking a patrol downtown…”

  13. Frank says:

My. How times change. Nowadays soldiers can sodomise each other but get disciplined for visiting the soldier’s oldest companion.
    General Hooker would be confused.

  14. 26Limabeans says:

    So, were they Signal guys?
Us old Signal types gotsta know.
    It’s all about our motto!

  15. CM says:

It’s truly unreal the White House keeps running into these fools. I would love to have such a position and have absolutely no track record and would never do anything like this and yet these clowns keep getting hired. Point being, I am sure I am not alone in that/track record as there are many of us who are qualified and would love such a thing/do well but whoever is making these hires is truly shit at their job as this just keeps happening in all departments. Man oh man, how stupid can these jackoffs be….

  16. FatCircles0311 says:

The worst crime you can commit in the military these days is getting your dick wet. Might as well hire eunuchs.

    • TF-BA says:

That was my first pass opinion also. I also think it holds true for the previous secret service nonsense.

However, comm guys on presidential mission travel should fundamentally understand that they have a target painted on their back the size of a semi truck and it’s burning as bright as a thousand suns.

These guys obviously did not adequately incorporate counter intelligence training into the FABRIC OF THEIR SOULS the way it was intended.

I mean really, what kind of information do they think they can pump out of a physical security guy without them noticing? Not much. I can’t speak for anyone else but they’d prolly get a lovin’ spoonfull out of me. An easy cell phone swap on a comm guy could be fuckin’ massive and worth the exertion of a hostile actor. These cats should know better.

  17. Duane says:

Lets see – the last 10 plus years of my career had an annual briefing – oh yeah – Trafficking in Humans. And it was mandatory for all military members, regardless of gender or rank. Moron’s like these will cause it to be every 6 months since it appears that the message just isn’t getting out there. I am SO glad that I’m retired from the military now. Excellent way to shoot your careers in the butt, folks – regardless of gender.

  18. Skippy says:

There is stupid, and then there is, “FUCKING STUPID”
The latter would apply to them

  19. MSG Eric says:

And how many troops were “dismissed” over the last few years because of the Reduction of Force in which they messed up even once, gave bureaucrats an excuse to kick them to the curb, and yet these troops are still around.

  20. timactual says:

Were those idiots not briefed on what behavior was expected on their mission? Were these idiots with security clearances not briefed on how unfriendly intelligence organizations would try to compromise them? Did these idiots have any supervision at all?

Of course, as we all know, sewage runs downhill, so that explains why we didn’t hear about any officer types getting relieved.

  21. Club Manager says:

WAR STORY ALERT: I was offered an opportunity to apply for a job in the WH military office in about 71′ by a friend who served in it. I had worked with them on two visits to Hawaii where I was at CNCPAC as an admin NCO. He was really straight arrow type of senior NCO and I was a tad on the wild side E-6. After hearing the requirements I politely declined because I didn’t want to change my lifestyle. These folks should have known the standard going in. No excuse.
