David Willard; phony SEAL

| February 23, 2018 | 58 Comments

Our partners at Military Phonies send us their work on this fellow, David Willard. He claims to be a Navy SEAL, and he’s convinced a lot of his friends that he’s a SEAL. Willard even has a jeep with the Trident painted on the hood and a fugly cap that only pretenders buy;

Well, he was in the Navy for less than six years and he served as an Airman Apprentice (E-2) but no SEAL Training or assignments;

  2. Wilted Willy says:

He is just like a Walrus, he likes a tight seal!

  3. Wilted Willy says:

I forgot to mention that he likes Dorking Squeakholes!!!

  4. chooee lee says:

Six years and already an AA. You get that when you graduate boot camp. This guy is truly an overachiever.

  5. SSG Kane says:

These guys all have “weird” dates. His first block of service was 3 years and nine months.

Then he was out for a bit and went back in for a year and nine months.

So it looks like he did a 4 year conctract (got out early) and went back for a two year contract (got out early).

  6. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Yet another pud-puffer of a bogus SEAL, it’s like they’re cheaper by the dozen these days.

  7. IDC SARC says:

He was already dodging comments on FB in the wee hours of this morning.

    gnard gargling queef squirt

  8. Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 says:

Airman Deuce? I really shouldn’t talk since it took me 3 years to make MM3. Changing the subject, I lost track of the phony Seal poser’s for this week at the TAH starting gate. Going to check out the Air Force guy above.

  9. Mick says:

That Jeep with the SEAL Trident emblazoned on the hood is a sweet ride.

I have to say that each of the real SEALs that I know has a big Trident painted on the hood of their personal vehicle just like that. That’s because it looks cool, chicks dig it, and they want to make sure that everyone knows that they’re SEALs wherever they go. That’s just how they roll.

    Totally legit.

  10. Graybeard says:

For those curious – this brings our phony SEAL count to 20 as of 0850L

  11. Claw says:

Usually pretty good at researching stuff, but am unable to track down what a “MENt Ribbon” is.

Help me out, Wet Service types.

  12. Green Thumb says:

    Six-year, E-2.

  13. The Chief says:

Damn!! He already shut down his Facebook. Scared little bitch!!

  14. Daisy Cutter says:

No one rat reference yet? You guys are either too young or were over in Vietnam when the movie came out in 1971.

    • Jim says:

Am old enough to remember the movie. During my Navy career, in 1995 was a crewmember onboard USS Tripoli LPH-10. CO was Captain Robert Willard, he was an F-14 pilot (no F-14s on Tripoli, many USMC helos, tho) and was known as “Rat”. He became CINCPAC and was the officer that told the congressman that Guam would not tip over if more military personnel were stationed on the island. Do you remember the theme song to the movie was called “Ben” and sung by Michael Jackson? I recall it got a lot of top 40 AM radio play when the movie first came out. Long ago memory.

  15. Club Manager, USA ret says:

Sonovabitch took down his Facebook page so I cannot track his employer. The obvious sign he is bogus is with the LDO/CW2. Has anyone ever met a CW2 who even resembled a LDO?? A CWO is equivalent to an O-6. Do not accept my word for this, ask any CWO.

    • Atkron says:

We had a Gunner (CW04) in my first squadron that came out to the Flightline one morning and chewed some serious LT and LCDR ass for their tendency to shoot their 20MM gun in select High (thus jamming it), instead of select Low. I heard him yelling two planes over while doing a preflight with our Skipper. Skipper just laughed…

He was a crotchety old man, I swear he was in his 60’s.

      • SFC D says:

The scariest thing in the world to hear… A CWO saying “watch this shit”

      • Club Manager, USA ret. says:

Had a 2Lt at a 3/7 Air Cav dining out at my Schweinfurt (3rd ID) O club make fun of my German staff in a skit. Took a pie tin, filled it with whipped cream, covered with a napkin, told the CO (LTC Pete McVay) I would like to make a special presentation to the Lt, he called the LT and me up on stage, he came bouncing up in his dress blues and I smacked him square in the face with the pie pan The two star was in the front row and complimented me with a “nice shot chief”. Staff morale sky rocketed and I paid the cleaning bill. The CO declined to press the charges the LT wanted filed. The 3/7th was primarily a WO aircrew unit. Admittedly, adult beverages was involved.

  16. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

    Atomic queef.

  17. Charles says:

If he in fact lawfully has a tan DD Form 2765 — as he claimed — it would have to be for one of the following:

    -Medal of Honor recipients.

    -100% Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

-Former members in receipt of retired pay.

    -Transitional Health Care Member (TAMP).

-Full-time paid personnel of the USO when serving outside the United States.

-United Seaman’s Service (USS) personnel when serving outside the United States.

-Officers and Crews of MSC Vessels deployed to foreign countries.

-Select Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) personnel.

-Other benefits-eligible categories as described in DoD policy.

  18. bombstopr@yahoo.com says:

Before he closed his page down we had a couple exchanges. He said his records are public but his medical records aren’t to show his mental causes for his courts martial and reduction in rank. So I asked him is he saying his mental issues are why he claims to be a SEAL? He didn’t like that and blocked me. Meanwhile, check out one of his FB friends (https://www.facebook.com/josethewriter ) . Seems in his posts like he has a chip on his shoulder. He was a Gas Turbine Specialist. No SEAL, SWCC, or other claims. Yet Some of his claims:
-Today: Yes, there are good Muslims. I have trained many from Lebanon and Iraq to fight MUSLIM Terrorists! That is what THEY call them.
-Yesterday: I laid in a hospital in Brazil for almost a month while they wondered if I would survive what happened or not. I have been shot at, stabbed, burned, beaten in service related incidents.
-Feb 21: There are times when a veteran feels so alone…even in a crowded room.. and then there are times as such when in solitude, that if I took my last breath.. it would not matter…
    That is PTSD…
-Feb 19: I joined the United States Navy and served for 19.5 years before being injured.
I asked him how as a GS was he stabbed, shot at, burned and beaten in service related incidents, and also has no purple heart(s). He hasn’t answered me yet has posted several posts since then.IDK, something seems off. Maybe its all legit and he will clear it up. Oh, I didn send him the stolen valor link to his FB friend Willard.

  19. bombstopr says:

Also seems on 29 Jan someone from the Indian council has issues with Jose’s Indian heritage claims as well.

  20. Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 says:

Gas Turbine Specialist? Another Snipe smearing the Engineering Dept’s name. In my day, we had BT’S and MM’S since the Navy ran on steam.

  21. ABF2CarrierGuy says:

Usually after 6 years and unable to make E-3, they become SEALs or better yet Green Berets. Shitheads.

  22. bombstopr says:

Holy shit. Read the posts about that turd Willard on militaryphony page!

  23. Frank says:

    T’Army has gone weak.
No bluffers for ages- hell even the Chair Force got an imitator this week!

  24. mr. sharkman says:

    ‘Bruce Good’ as CO ST-2?
