Michael Chesny; racist discharged from USMC

Stars & Stripes reports that Michael Chesny, one of the organizers of the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia was discharged from the Marine Corps earlier this month. He published on the internet under the screen name “Tyrone”.

Under a different command, Chesny appeared to be headed for a promotion to staff sergeant as his misdemeanor trespassing charge was being cleared up in Graham, but he was still a sergeant April 5, when he was separated from the Corps, Fahy said, for “his connection to white nationalist groups.”

Chesny was an explosive ordnance technician stationed at Cherry Point Air Station. He enlisted in November 2007 and became a sergeant in May 2013.

Chesny helped raise a banner of the white supremacists on a building during the rally, prompting a trespassing charge, according to Al Jazeera;

The banner featured a logo for Generation Identitaire, a far-right, nativist and anti-immigrant movement in Europe. The acronym alongside it, “YWNRL”, stands for “You Will Not Replace Us”, a popular chant used by Unite the Right marchers in Charlottesville to signal fears over so-called “white genocide”.

The Marine Corps also booted Chesny’s accomplice Joseph W. Manning.

Manning was a staff sergeant stationed at the Marine Corps Combat Engineer School at Camp Lejeune and an instructor in the program until he was “administratively separated” from the Corps over his arrest around late December, said Nat Fahy, representing Marine Corps Installations East.

Many more of them out there.

    • Yef says:

      Any stats on this?

In my 13 years in the Army i have only come across 2 racisss dudes. Both got kicked out.

In my experience, there are very few racisss people in the Army, and the ones that sneack in don’t get far.

Now, of course I have seen stupid joe saying that his team leader is teh racisss because makes him work hard, but when I digged in the claim was not substantiated.

      • Just An Old Dog says:

I was in the USMC but did a lot of time around both Navy and Army. I was in combat arms units mostly, so there was a lot of adult supervision. The Army seems the worst as far as racism and it more of minority “cliques” pulling shit. The Navy was pretty bad about tribalism with enthnic groups segregation themselves,

    • Grunt says:

Gotta agree with Yef here. While race based humor, like all other taboos, is fair game, in fourteen years I’ve only ran into maybe three legitimately racist Soldiers.

All three got dealt with with speed and power and the problems resolved themselves.

  12. SGT Fon says:

Generation Identitaire is not so much a racist movement as a nationalistic one, their belief systems seems to be, we live here, our families have lived here for generations and we don’t want our history subverted by multiculturalism and diversity. I fully believe in all of that as a good thing.

i don’t force my beliefs on anyone and i don’t want others to force their beliefs down on me. i think one of the best parts of being American sometimes is that all we got to bring here to the US was the clothing on our backs and the recipes of our grandmothers. Europe is a bit different that way.

if you go to my grandparents town in Braviaria, what was a perfect teutonic picture is now an middle eastern ghetto. as a kid i can remember people walking about all night long and now they are scared to go out in the day time. its almost identical at my other grandfathers home in France. the polish home town is still fine, but it was never anyplace anyone ever wanted to live in to start off with.

    • SGT Fon says:

i hit enter before i could add that the fact that these guys did this here in America, while serving on active duty makes them asshats and they got exactly what they deserved…

    • Yef says:

Are you a racisss, SGT Fon?

      • Atkron says:

I don’t think pointing out facts is racist. Had he gone off on some racist rant, I’d feel differently. This wasn’t racist…

      • Sgt Fon says:

more then likely yes i am. but i am married to the same filipino woman for 26 years and my kids from my first marriage are from a 1/2 black 1/2 mexican mom so you tell me. but ya we all have our prejudices, for me if i think you are an asshole i will treat you as such. I don’t really care your sexual orientation, race or religion…

    • mr. sharkman says:

The Poles actively discourage middle eastern and african immigration, for good reason.

      • Carlton G. Long says:

I’m going to have to start rethinking my entire joke repertoire.

        • 11B-Mailclerk says:

Poles did much of the foundational work that broke the Enigma code of the Third Reich. The device was called “bomba”, which the Brits reworked to get higher performance.

Pope John Paul II was Polish. The Soviets later had reason to regret his election to that role.

          • 2/17 Air Cav says:

No matter how brilliant some Poles are, were, and will be, they will never escape Polish jokes. Micks drink too much. Scots will run over their grandmothers to pick up a dropped dime. The best place to hide money from Italians is under a bar of soap…and so forth. That’s the American way.

            • RCAF-CHAIRBORNE says:

AirCav, you forgot to add that if you ever want to starve an Indian(feathers not dots), put his Welfare cheque under his work boots.

We gotta be able to laugh at ourselves…

      • Sgt Fon says:

l think that Reagan was responsible for the fall of communism in europe, but it was actually my “Uncle” Lech Wałęsa. he is from around Lipno which is where my grandmother comes from. the only politics ever spoken about in my house was the day that my pop came home and gave me a Solidarność pin and told me we need to help make our relatives there free like we were. that was the movement that finally broke the communist in Poland Me and Uncle Lech!

  13. Perry Gaskill says:

The Stars & Stripes story has some serious issues. In the first place, it wasn’t written by an S&S staffer. It was done by a guy named Isaac Groves at the Times-News in Burlington, North Carolina. Nor does Groves do much original reporting except for a couple of vague quotes from the Marine Corps.

Most of the story is apparently a re-write of what was done by Al Jazeera who drew as a main source the SJW activist group Unicorn Riot, and a transgender Antifa dingbat named Emily Gorcenski.

There also seems to be an insidious inference in Groves’ narrative that Chesny was “administratively separated” because, carried to a logical conclusion, the Marine Corps agrees the statue of Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville should be removed. It’s probably more likely Chesny was kicked out because he became an embarrassment.

If the Marine Corps is now rolling over for people like Emily Gorcenski, the Marine Corps has a big problem.

  14. mr. sharkman says:

A disgruntled EOD tech. I hope someone keeps a close eye on him.

I am willing to bet……3 years from now, he will be outed servicing black men in a SF bathhouse( San Fran bathhouse that is, NOT Special Forces)

  16. Mason says:

Good. Get rid of the bad apples.

Are they administratively separating anyone who participates in the BLM movement as well?

  17. borderbill (a NIMBY/BANANA) says:

Well—–the saga continues—–. Maybe it’s best (in general) ta keep yer yap shut. “Specialy in ‘Merica nowadays. Never ferget that even though “they” are in the minority “they” hate us and are not our friends.

    • Valerie says:

All true, borderbill. And it’s SOP for the marxist’s to call ANY group fighting against open borders, mass immigration and multiculturalism “racist” as we all know too well.

  18. radar says:

Dude was active duty with hair that long? For shame!

  19. MCPO NYC USN Ret. says:

Bye bye! I have no use for these types in my military!
