Mick sends us a link to Fox News which reports that Sgt. Noel Ramirez, 30, and Deputy Sheriff Taylor Lindsey, 25 of the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office were murdered while they ate their lunch at the Ace China restaurant. A gunman shot them through the plate glass window.

“As fellow deputies responded to the scene, they found the shooter deceased outside the business,” the statement read.

Gilchrist County Sheriff Bobby Schultz said Thursday night it was unclear if the gunman had killed himself. A motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately revealed.

May God Bless them and their families during this terribly sad time. May Satan piss on the dead perp!

  2. UpNorth says:

    Rest In Peace, brothers.

  3. Fyrfighter says:

Hmm, do you all think it’s a coincidence that we have NO details on the perp?

    • Lurker Curt says:

That’s no coincident. Seems to be Standard Data these days- the only way we get details is when it’s a straight white man doing the deed, and they tell us every damn thing, true or not.

    • Frankie Cee says:

I saw, at many news outlets, last night, that he was John Hubert Highnote, 59. I know many people with the surname Highnote, and Hinote, and all are Southern Christian White folks. This individual was obviously a mental case, (sane people don’t murder), possibly previously contacted by the deputies, or other law enforcement. The truth will come out, in due time. It is now but 18 or so hours after the deed was done.

      • The Dead Man says:

They’re referring to the fact that the media likes to omit details regularly if it doesn’t fit a narrow narrative. If it is a loony old white dude, it’s an outlier case that it wasn’t brought up along with NRA memberships, Veteran status, Submarine Screen Door Gunner badge and mean video game ties.

      • UpNorth says:

According to the sheriff’s office, Highnote, or Hinote, had one contact with the sheriff’s office, and it was some years ago. He got a ticket for an illegal left turn.

  4. 2/17 Air Cav says:

Truly their guard was down. As a rule, LEOs sit away from the door and windows at eateries, seated against a wall, with at least one facing the door. The cowardly POS who killed these men just flat-out murdered them. That’s all. He just walked up, no doubt with a gun in hand but hidden from plain sight and shot them. And now, I will go kick the shit out of something.

    • UpNorth says:

Even before I retired, the trend on 2nd shift was for the officers to either bring their lunch, or pick up from a trusted place, and eat in the squad room.
3rd shift? We ate at Denny’s, usually at 0500, and there at least 5 or 6 of us, deputies and city officers. And away from the windows.

    • Frankie Cee says:

Knowing Trenton Florida, and Gilchrist County, I can see them feeling safe in a restaurant at lunch time. It is a very rural area, totally unlike Trenton NJ, and other high crime, urban areas.
      RIP Deputies.

  5. A Proud Infidel®™️ says:

What a totally senseless and cowardly act and may Satan already be eating the perp’s soul.

  6. AF VET says:

Air Cav brings up a great point about rules of engagement. I tell my wife and adult children to have their head on a swivel — pay attention to your surroundings, whether at a gas station, Walmart parking lot, local drug store, etc … look around before you get out of the car. This bad stuff is happening daily now … just sad.

  7. Mason says:

Rest easy, brothers. We have the watch.

  8. Ex-PH2 says:

What a cowardly thing to do.

May they both rest in peace.

  9. Wireman 611 says:

This is why my CMAA told me to keep my back to the door. Good rest their souls.

  10. The Other Whitey says:

God be with them, and their families.

Find the shooter and send him to Hell.

  11. AW1Ed says:

Another mental melt-down, not satisfied with just taking his own life.

Fair winds and following seas, Lawmen.

  12. Atkron says:

Reminds me of the 4 officers in Lakewood, Wa getting ambushed in a coffee shop awhile back.

RIP gents, I hope your deaths were were quick and painless.

My condolences to the families, none of you deserved this; neither your loved ones, or those of you left to grieve.

  13. RGR 4-78 says:

    Rest in Peace.

  14. Rosalee Adams says:

RIP Sgt Ramirez and Deputy Sheriff Lindsey….
May God comfort their families and friends as they grieve.
We are a better nation for their service.
