Obama-flix

| May 22, 2018 | 78 Comments

I’m not one to cut my nose off to spite my face, but I swear, the first time Netflix tries to cram some Obama-crap down my throat, I’m outathere. From the Washington Times;

The Obama’s trajectory has now entered the creative realm. They have founded another organization called Higher Ground Productions — and with good reason. On Monday, the couple signed a multiyear “storytelling” contract with online video giant Netflix to produce original programming for a built-in, loyal audience of 125 million subscribers in 190 countries.

I spend time at Netflix to get away from politics, for fuxx sake.

“One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience. That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix — we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world,” Mr. Obama said in a statement.

One of the simple joys of my life was January 20th, 2017 when the Obamas left the White House.

    STFU!

  2. Fyrfighter says:

“Higher ground” productions? so it’s coffee with weed in it? I wouldn’t expect much more than that from the JEF…And i agree totally about Jan 2017..

  3. FatCircles0311 says:

Somebody needs to hack Netflix email accounts because I don’t believe for one second this isn’t some type of money laundering scheme. Why is a video streaming service giving a guy a multi year contract to produce videos when he has absolutely zero history or experience producing anything entertainingmwnt related in his life. This stinks to high heaven. Why is a video streaming company hiring former disgraced politicians like Susan rice as well? Is Netflix the new southern poverty law center? Sure sounds like it.

    • NHSparky says:

All the more reason to go to HULU and Amazon Prime Video.

Way better selections on both anyway.

      • Yef says:

        Nah. Netflix got better anime.

        • 26Limabeans says:

But you can’t find any old westerns.
No Walter Brennan, John Wayne etc.
I gave it up after six months of boring programming. Obama can have it.

        • Ex-PH2 says:

You can find the old westerns if you look for them, but you are much better off getting a collection of DVDs or Blu-ray stuff. You can find all of Mae West’s old movies. Everything that was done on film, including the silent movies, has been revived and is available.

Sometimes, it’s better to have your own library than to pay for a waste of time like Netflix.

  4. 1610desig says:

Perhaps “Higher Ground Productions” will produce the same quality of work that went into his official portrait….if so, unviewable except for laughs…

  5. The Other Whitey says:

I’m sure they have plenty to say about the rampant corruption and cronyism they engaged in every day they spent in the White House.

  6. sbalm says:

I cancelled my Netflix subscription as soon as Netflix put Susan Rice on their board of directors.

It is ironic that Obama and Susan Rice both now play a major role at Netflix – “all because of an internet video.”

  7. Usafvet509 says:

I make a point of thumbs down rating every libtarded show in Netflix

    • FatCircles0311 says:

That ratings are placebo. They removed the legit ratings after people started downrating shitty insufferable Libtard movies/shows. Now you have no idea whether something is worth watching. It doesn’t matter what you watch or don’t watch or what you rate something, Netflix shows user what they want them to watch and there is nothing you can do about it. Their non existent UI and especially preferences are a joke.

  8. Ex-PH2 says:

I am going to gag. This was on the news last night.

I guess when you’ve been the do-nothing Prezzie for 8 years and then someone else got your job, and the crowds sort of went away, it must be boring as all get-out, right. So Mr. Do-nothing will still be Mr. Do-nothing, he’ll still get paid, but he’ll be back on TV for anyone who wants to listen to prepared speeches again.

What does it take for this moron to just go away?

    • SFC D says:

He could learn a lot from Stormy Daniels. At least she’s upfront about screwing people for money.

      • timactual says:

Funny thing about that. Screw people for money on a street corner and you are a skanky whore who goes to jail and all the better class of people sneer at you. Screw people for money in front of a camera and you are an “adult film star” and people want to be seen with you on television in front of millions of people.

      • Ex-PH2 says:

The city of LA-LA-Land gave Stormy Daniels some kind of city award yesterday.

Well, she IS smarter than the average hooker, ins’t she? She got hush money for something, returned it because she wants more, sniffled on camera a little over it, and now she might even get a job in higher quality oprn production.

Seriously, someone please let me know when this weird phase passes, please?

    • desert says:

The only thing those two scum bags like better than sexual perversion and drugs, is media attention ! imo

  9. JacktheJarhead says:

Fro the company that brought you sterling programming like “Hey, White People”. I never watch NetFlix, I have it for my grandson to watch kid show. Other than that, they have movies I have seen or garbage I don’t want to. Good Luck Barry! Wonder if he is going to “donate” any of the money to “Charity”.

  10. Non Cedo Ferio says:

Not gonna cancel my subscription. Too many good shows to binge watch. Like I’ve said before. I’m not conservative or liberal. And I know some will ask why are you not on the right. Same reason I’m not on the left I choose to look and decide what I’m inclined to lean on sometimes a little right. Sometimes a little left. But I’m not gonna let something like this affect wether I can get my Dexter, Longmire , Arrow, or Star Trek fix. Canceling my subscription because of Obama would be akin to someone leaving the country because of Trump. Why would I want to punish myself like that. What’s next Boycotting Cobra Kai because I takes place in California ? Just saying.

    • E4 Mafia For Life. says:

Agreed. I’m not throwing out the baby with the bathwater. The nice thing about Netwflix, Hulu and Amazon is you are not paying for 999 channels you don’t want.
Buy subscribing to Satellite and Cable your money goes to support ALL channels. Those channels would hopefully die out quick when no one pays for them.
Lots of good stuff on Netflix and love binge watching.

      • rgr769 says:

Likewise for me. Most of the stuff on regular broadcast TV is unwatchable. Ditto for many of the cable channels.

      • Non Cedo Ferio says:

Yup. Cut the Cord in 2013 I figured that Xfinity was getting hella expensive esp since all I seemed to do was spend most of the time channel surfing. What’s that Bruce Springsteen song. 57 channels and nothing’s on. Or something like that. It kills me how some ppl complain when Netflix went up to 10 bucks. And yet I’m sure those same ppl were paying a few hundred a month for Cable that you had no real choice in what you watched. Agreed. I also won’t weep if cable and network goes bust

    • FatCircles0311 says:

Netflix ruined Longmire, Star Trek is SJW insanity now and Arrow is for woke teenagers.

      Good god, Man.

      • Non Cedo Ferio says:

Ok here goes. Longmire is something I just started watching. Star Trek Discovery is not on Netflix. But TOS TNG ENT and the animated series are. Still like em. Arrow is a good solid series for the DC universe. Yea I’m a big DC guy. Don’t get me wrong I love Marvel but not as much. Yes I’m a Sci Fi and comic geek , have been since I was a kid. No harm in that . Btw I don’t like Discovery Maybe cause the Klingons look weird. I dunno

  11. QMC says:

That sucks. I got on Netflix, because Cable just got so downright awful and expensive. Now it looks like I may end up leaving Netflix, because they’re repeating some of the same mistakes as the Cable networks (CNN, ESPN, MSNBC, etc).

Supply and demand still drive the market. If they start making the same mistakes as those that have gone before them, then some other innovative company will provide a better alternative for the viewers.

    • FatCircles0311 says:

There is one thing you can bet on from liberals and that is they’ll eventually find the entertainment you like and ruin it. They are moving from TV to streaming services even though people left TV because they ruined it.

  12. rgr769 says:

I wonder if Higher Ground Productions has some of the same proggie propagandist ass-wipes as those “producers” of that fake KKK/neo-Nazi reality show Jonn posted about several months ago.

  13. E4 Mafia For Life. says:

“…the couple signed a multiyear “storytelling” contract with online video giant Netflix.”
So, same thing they did for 8 years; story telling. No connection to reality, facts, truth or morality.

    • Daisy Cutter says:

I’m sure if they did a voyeur show like “Living with the Obamas” there would be plenty of people that could not get enough of it.

For me, I’m tired of listening to Obama’s arrogant tone like he assumes that everyone is hinging on every word that comes out of his mouth. Maybe some are.

  14. David says:

How can we miss you if you won’t go away?

  15. The Other Whitey says:

They have some good stuff, and some utter crap. I’ll keep watching “The Punisher” while I downvote the shit out of everything from the former Glorious Leader, Amy Schumer and the STD lab in her pants, or any of their ilk.

  16. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

Like either an obnoxious salesman, Das Hildebeast OR a vase of Herpes, B. Hussein 0bama keeps coming back.

I wouldn’t even piss on his head if his ass was on fire and his brain was a-catching.

  17. Thunderstixx says:

Corporate America truly has no clue what goes on in the working stiff class of America.
This does not end well for them, same for the NFL and their stuck on stupid routine.
Of course they have the three clowns up above to support them, but my observation is that they don’t make that much of a difference. If they did, the NFL would be rolling in viewers today instead of watching their viewership sink to the depths of the viewership basement.

  18. timactual says:

I have not decided whether watching an Obama TV show would be a purgative or a sedative. Hard to do both at the same time, but if anyone can do it, it’s Barack.

  19. Jeff LPH 3, 63-66 says:

I’m not on netflix or facebook. I watch old TCM black and white/color movies from the 30’s to 50’s. Also go to on demand and watch old black and white B Westerns. Also have on DVD the entire 3 Mesqueteer’s B oaters minus only one that I could not get. Also have a collection of other B Westerns on dvd sets. The hollyweird peeps make money on the box office moola shmoola and donate it to their party of choice which I don’t have to tell you what that is. I don’t give a flying F..K how good their acting is and I cannot be objectional and separate their acting from their politics. They don’t give a shit about this country, the Flag and the POTUS.

  20. AztoVA says:

Netflix. Never had it, never will.

  21. Sparks says:

My money says, one of the first shows this worthless piece of shit and his man-wife produce will be about “loving thy Muslim”. You know, “to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples” and all that stuff.

  22. 5JC says:

Somebody has to tell us all the great stuff that Obama did for us over his eight years in office. Like personally killing Bin Laden, Obamacare and winning the Nobel Peace prize for being great. That stuff isn’t going to get out there on it’s own.

  23. Mason says:

So we have another ex-President that can’t retire with dignity and go work on his library? We have another Clinton couple that are going to constantly be fawned over and rewarded by the media.

There was a time that an ex-President became an elder statesman, kept largely out of politics, and allowed the next guy to do his thing. Never thought I’d say this, but Bill and Barack could learn from Jimmy Carter. If you’re tempted to use your celebrity, do it for good, not your own personal gain.

How long before people get sick of watching their “public servants” get filthy rich while taking summers off and jet setting around the world in private planes funded by us?

    • rgr1480 says:

I sure didn’t give a care for President Carter and I strongly disliked his politics. However, as a humanitarian — working with Habitat for Humanity — his actions are very praiseworthy.

So long as he keeps quiet about politics.

      • 5JC says:

        IDK, not half bad really:

“And I think he will serve a full term unless the special investigator, Mr. Mueller, brings some criminal charges against him.”

“What do you think the odds of that are?” asked Pauley.

“I don’t have any idea,” Mr. Carter replied. “I think Mueller’s been very successful in keeping his cards close to his vest and not revealing any plans. But my wish is that Mr. Mueller would go ahead and make a decision, even if it’s not anything personally that President Trump has done to violate the law; then I think he ought to make that obvious. And if he has violated the law, that ought to be revealed as well.

“But my own preference would be that he not be impeached, but that he be able to serve out his term, because I think he wants to do a good job. And I’m willing to help him, if I can help him, and give him the benefit of the doubt.”

  24. Perry Gaskill says:

They were going to call one of the segments “Barry’s Dog and Pony Show” but couldn’t figure out whether to cast Michelle as the dog or the pony…

    • RM3(SS) says:

I heard they’re going to have a multi-part series on how Moochelle was so ashamed of the country that has handed her everything. The dramatic conclusion will be when the leader of the Choom Gang lies, cheats and steals the election.

    • desert says:

yep, couldn’t call it the “pig” show, he as a muslim doesn’t like pigs 😉

  25. JTB says:

I hope this is as big a fail as photo bucket charging 400 dollars a year…

  26. 5JC says:

Longmire wasn’t that great to begin with. It was kind of like a New Western “Murder She Wrote”. Where of the course of a few years the entire population of the county would have been murdered one by one. Yet, no one is concerned about having a murder rate like Yemen.

    • rgr769 says:

Well, it was still better than most of the worthless claptrap on the broadcast channels and many of the cable channels. At least it wasn’t another mindless unfunny sitcom. Plus the scenery and the good guy characters were likeable. Although, some of Longmire’s moves were epic stupid, like his refusal to carry a cell phone.

  29. Deplorable B Woodman says:

There is a picture out there (go to IOTWReport.com), showing the “NETFLIX” logo, with Barry and Moochelle standing to the right, covering the bottom of the two letters “L” and “I”, to make a new word. I leave it to the fertile imaginations of the TAH crew to figure it out, and let the fun begin.

  30. 11B-Mailclerk says:

    bh0: “pay attention to meeeeeeeeee!”

  31. OWB says:

No sweat. Never saw a need to have it so will not miss continuing to not have Netflix.

  32. Thunderstixx says:

Netflix is nothing but a bunch of stupidass left wing libidiots.
The thing they put out questioning the convictions of the murderer’s of Teresa Halbach made me sick, literally sick to my stomach.
I knew Teresa Halbach, she was a beautiful young lady and was there on a business call as they sold cars and she worked for a weekly car advertiser.
She was kept alive and tortured for days in their trailer. They raped her over and over and over again while she was tied up in their trailer…
Then they cut her up after they were done with her and tried to burn her body to get rid of the evidence.
When they came out with that shitty excuse of an investigative reporting show, I took the CD’s I had that were their’s and tossed them in the Gulf of Mexico.
Between the two it is simply evident that they don’t care about the reality of life in America or the people that go out, work and make this country work.
May that poor young lady, Teresa Halbach Rest in the arms of a loving God and the care of the Mother Mary. I still pray for this beautiful young lady that ran into pure evil on a sunny day………
    I hat these fucks…
