If They Only Had A Brain

| December 8, 2018 | 71 Comments

This is kind of a link fest, something you can go through, read the articles linked, and make your own decisions about the subjects. It is, after all, Saturday, and I know the NAVY!-Army game will be first and foremost on your minds, but – well, you need something to do when Army doesn’t get those yards.

In her interview at the link, Camille Paglia almost infers that this may be birthing pains of some sort, or better yet, the last gasps and struggling efforts of the current liberal side of the political fence in its death throes.

No harm in that. Everything comes full circle at some point. Her indictment of current politicos and potential liberal candidates is scathing, harsh and well deserved. They are falling all over themselves to choke their own party to death. Her take on the Democrat party is like watching squirrels in my yard chasing peanuts I’ve thrown out to them and then chasing each other. It’s a bunch of little kids who will never grow up but want to be part of a gang. Hence, we get bimbos like O-C and shouting ‘look-at-me’ idjits like “Nuke ‘em” Swallwell.

She’s right about Clinton.  Shrillary does want dTrump to win the 2020 election. The Liberal side of the fence is being loaded with mindless droids whose robotic programmed responses to stray words are the first symptom of loss of self-awareness. And this untutored, sanctimonious non-religious generation of lost children is being drained away toward a greedy, demanding fake religion of pseudo-science, to sacrifice everything for the greed of a few who will abuse them badly. History shows us repeatedly that such things fail, and fail badly. Oh, but next time, we’ll do it right! Really? Then why did the liberals like Kamala Harris turn into a scrounging shoal of hagfish during the Kavanaugh hearings? Why can’t they get off the ‘hate Trump’ bandwagon and stop pounding that drum? It is not surprising that Paglia, as a professed atheist, recommends that the study of religion be a requirement now, if you take everything else into consideration, including the unenlightened social group known as SJWs.

Here’s the link to Paglia’s interview:

https://spectator.us/camille-paglia-hillary-trump/

There’s another link to Googly-eyes Ocasio-Cortes’s proposal “New Green Deal”, in which she outlines every possible way to destroy a thriving economy. You might want a strong drink to read the “Green New Deal” itself, but there is help included in the article.

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2018/12/08/the-green-climate-deal/

The author of the article went through the proposal, piece by piece, to dissect it and try to understand it, and then gave up, went outside to get some fresh air and wonder how long it would be before his head exploded from the dumb, dimwitted, ignorance that this zippy little bimbo offers (with assistance noted from Bernout Sanders).  She’s right in the same rowboat with “Nuke ‘Em” Swallwell, you know.

Googly-eyes seems to think that money fall off of trees or is just cranked out. She includes a defunding of the military by 50%, and instead, using the National Guard for everything. I think we already use the National Guard for just about everything, don’t we? These are just a few of her bubbly ideas.

And finally, the link below takes you to a National Review article about Mueller’s obsessive pursuit of something – anything, in fact – that will show beyond a doubt that there was Russian interference in the 2016 election, based originally on the deal Trump tried to make and failed to build another Trump Tower in Moscow.  https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/12/mueller-investigation-collusion-allegations-partisan-politics/

Mueller has done some unconscionable things himself, including finding ways to get people to perjure themselves, which is what a corrupt Chicago cop like Jon Burge of Chicago was notorious for doing. Bringing a conspiracy crank like Corsi into this mix is a sign of desperation.  Unfortunately, Mueller has spent thousands of hours and tons of tax money on this project and so far, has done nothing but make it clear that he hates Trump and is obsessed with getting rid of him.  That sounds like a personal problem to me.

While we may find people like Googly-eyes and Mueller to be distasteful at best, they are symptoms of a larger and very widespread problem called “not really paying attention”.  Paglia’s interview addresses these problems, too.  We cannot afford to be unaware or dismissive of them.

Go NAVY! Beat Army.

I never liked Camille until recently. Now I think she’s hot. Not a pretty face but looks are not everything. On the other hand (or face) is Ocassional Cortex with a pretty enough face but all the Viagra in the world would not make it happen.
There is more to sex than physical attraction.
    Goddamn politics screws up everything.

Can we move the game up a few hours?
Gonna be dark here at kick off.

When asked about the Army Navy game today, Ocasio-Cortez said, “I love lacrosse, maybe someday they will ask me to throw out the first ball”.

Another rational Democrat. By that I mean someone who has lefty leanings but isn’t trapped in an echo chamber or lock-wired in the transmit mode.

Camille is one. Another who comes to mind is Charles Lane, who plays the lefty team on Bret Baier’s Special Report on Fox.

I’ll listen to thoughtful, measured opinions even if they won’t change my mind, but this is the way to find common ground. Not some left wing drone who can’t be shaken from the approved Dem talking points, or simply stating how much they hate Trump. That’s not a valid campaign issue, and they know it.

Well, I thought I had a brain, or at least, still a piece of one. Then I hit the second linkie. Daaaayyyyuuuuummmm! WTF and GTFOH. Walk around outside to clear your head? Oh hell to the no. 26 mile road march with Jackson’s Foot Cavalry won’t do it. You better just go ahead, smoke 3 blunt taters, drink a gallon of mushroom tea, a case of cold beer, and drop 2 hits of orange sunshine (don’t take the brown acid). Maybe then you’ll be as high and f’ed up as O-C and Bernedout. Sad to think, if they keep recruiting for the “free shit army” that all could come to pass.

Wonder what the people that supported Lenin or Hitler was thinking as the socialist destroyed their countries and herded them into the Gulags and concentration camps. By then it was too late for them.

For the most part, I was agreeing with Camille. (gasp) She was preaching what I been preaching for decades. Get the gubmint the hell out of our lives and business. She reminded me of the sure ’nuff old school democrats I used to listen to back in the 50’s and 60’s. You know, the ones that thought Kennedy was completing the destruction of the Country that FDR had started.

The Mueller linkie wouldn”t open; something in there set off my foo gas and claymore computer perimeter bitdefender. Probably their cookies or some such. I agree with Ex-PH2’s assessment of those stories. That whole dead horse beating “investigation” has been like a never ending IG Inspection; keep looking til you find something.

    Thank you Mi’Lady….Good timely post.

    Oh and BTW…goarmybeatnavy

You’re welcome, 5th/77th. The Mueller link should have worked, but if not, the article is published online by National Review.

I just checked the only channel keeping tabs on what’s up in France.

The police got nasty with the protesters, who were just walking, not doing any damage, and started teargassing them. I’d guess Macron is behind that, because he IS that dumb.

Most interesting is that this has sparked similar protests in Belgium and in the Netherlands. And it isn’t over anything like the French taxes. It’s about politicians in general.
      https://www.cbsnews.com/news/belgium-netherlands-yellow-vest-protests-2018-12-08/

Things are getting stranger and stranger. I think Macron (FR) is doomed. Merkel will be gone as Germany’s president. There is more to come this winter, I am sure. Stock up on refreshments and see if you can pick up France24 live online occasionally.

Oh, yeah – Italy is refusing to allow the Aquarious, a refugee ship, to dock and unload its passengers. I think the Italians have had just about enough.

My man that built my www thing for me put some sure ’nuff military industrial complex, high speed low drag security on it. He does security work for google, banks, and other unnamed places. Any site that is even vaguely questionable will be blocked. That includes those that use data mining cookie thingies ect.ect.

That being said, I dug around and back doored enough places to get the National Review article. They say all politics are local, well all politics is global; at least all politicians are globally hated. We the people covers the whole world. One thing I noticed in the Belgium article, some people were worried about the loss of socialistic type “benefits” and concerned about the immigrants identities. No nation’s/people’s culture survives an invasion by another culture that dominates or wipes out the existing culture.

I do lurk around on world wide news reports (No Al-jeazza) and try to keep up with world affairs. The Italians are getting smart on immigration. Maybe that whole Germanic tribal invasions back around early AD whenever has finally kicked in. How’d that work out for them.

Gonna check with charles w. See if I can get some more of his popcorn futures.

You keep up the good work for us. We’ll even forgive you being Dad’s (AW1Ed) favorite/teachers pet, and the fact that Dave gets more gravy. (grin)

  7. 2/17 Air Cav says:

    Halftime
How in the world did Navy win three games this year with that QB, or did he not play QB in the games the goaters won? He surely do sucketh. As for Army, their receivers sucketh. Who at this level tries to catch a pass with his arms bent at the elbow and the ball to be trapped against his chest? #5 for Army, that’s who. Idiot. And #3? Ball hit him in the wrong place: right in his hands. Choker.

The linemen are having a helluva fight, although it has gone unmentioned by the commentators. Those guys are slugging the crap out of one another.

  8. @Ex-PH2

In case you didn’t know ‘Ben Shapiro’ is a NeverTrumper.

He regularly leans ‘establishment/elitist’ in politics.

    • Mason says:

I agree with him on a lot of things. But I expect him to know better than to say Nixon was impeached. If that was in the first paragraph, I’d have stopped reading the article. I was shocked to see he wrote it.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

That’s incorrect, Mason. In 1974, Richard Nixon WAS impeached.

Three articles of impeachment were brought against him.

In May 1974, the House Judiciary Committee began formal impeachment hearings against Nixon. On July 27 of that year, the first article of impeachment against the president was passed. Two more articles, for abuse of power and contempt of Congress, were approved on July 29 and 30.On August 5,Nixon complied with a U.S. Supreme Court ruling requiring that he provide transcripts of the missing tapes, and the new evidence clearly implicated him in a cover up of the Watergate break-in. On August 8, Nixon announced his resignation, becoming the first president in U.S. history to voluntarily leave office. After departing the White House on August 9,Nixon was succeeded by Vice President Gerald Ford, who, in a controversial move, pardoned Nixon on September 8, 1974, making it impossible for the former president to be prosecuted for any crimes he might have committed while in office. Only two other presidents in U.S. historyhave been impeached: Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton in 1998.
      Source: History.com

In addition, I don’t care if Shapiro IS a ‘never Trumper’. His article shows clearly that Mueller has left no stone unturned in his efforts to oust Trump from office. For two years, Mueller’s been doing this, and has not succeeded. His focus has been so narrow that it’s a wonder he hasn’t tripped over his own feet.

      • Perry Gaskill says:

Nixon was not impeached in the legal sense. What happened was that there were three articles of impeachment approved by the House Judiciary Committee, which can suggest impeachment, but can’t determine it. Instead, those articles were to act as recommendations for consideration and vote by the entire House of Representatives. Something which is needed for an actual impeachment. Nixon resigned before it ever got to a House vote.

Although such a House vote would have amounted to impeachment, it’s also useful to remember that when an impeachment vote passes the House that the next step is a Senate trial to determine removal from office. Although it might be incorrect in a strict legal sense to consider the whole enchilada of Judiciary Committee investigation, House vote, and Senate trial as “impeachment,” that’s fairly common usage when people are talking about kicking a President out of office.

    • 2/17 Air Cav says:

Thank goodness Abey started for Navy and that they didn’t listen to me and sit him down at the half. He came out to throw an interception. And then it was a different game with him gone–until he came back for a play and had the ball smacked from his arm and Army recovered. They need to watch him very closely for the next 48-72 hours and keep sharp objects away from him.

ARMY Gets The Trophy! Army goes to the Armed Forces Bowl! ARMY!

Last week had to hold my breath during the Tide versas Dawgs game…and now today!

Thought it was going to be a tie.

            17-10.

It’s all good, 5th/77th FA…hey, I want my 45 rpm records back..they don’t make em as they used to! 😄

            • 5th/77th FA says:

Shucks, and I thought I would finally have a use for those 45 adaptors I found in a box coupla weeks ago. Brand new old stock never opened multi colored. Don’t have that many 45s, collectable, but do have a boat load of classic 33s poly vinyl carbons from the 60s and 70s. Pointed them out again to baby girl when she came up to check on me. She found a web site for some of that stuff. Worth a dollar two ninety eight or better.

Was a great game, proud of both teams, football played like it was designed to play. Damn a bunch of NFL, have watched very very very little of those felons in the last few years. It did get intense a time or twelve, but Navy did help us by beating themselves.

We can look forward to the Armed Forces Bowl, getting some Sugar from Texas, and watching ROLL TIDE ROLL on to another National Title.

  10. 2/17 Air Cav says:

Take note. Vegas knows what the hell its doing. Army was favored by 7 and the broken noses were getting too many bets on Navy taking the points. So, they upped the spread .5–you can beat now and then but don’t try to make a living at it. ARMY 10-2!

Thanks for the link to Occasional-Cortex’s green deal. I had heard her talk about it in passing and thought it was going to be a bunch of socialist BS, but whoa boy! That is the most un-American line of crap I’ve ever heard. That we have actual people in elected office at the federal level who think that this plan is a good idea is disturbing to say the least.

This whole government guaranteed job thing has an especially sinister second act. Since everyone on their plan has free housing, healthcare, and food, no one will want to work. So once everyone is guaranteed a job, the next step is mandatory jobs.

We could be a generation away from labor camps, gulags, and reeducation camps.

How to pay for it? Why, with Other People’s Money, of course.

      Sheesh.

Since California is now a one-party state, and the system fully rigged to exclude any realistic opposition, I am curious as to how quickly they finish capsizing to the Left. Look for harsher departure laws, taxes at first and then actual “oh no you don’t” efforts. Purging any non-Donk holdouts will start with “deplatforming” and “hate speech” eradication.

Just wondering if it will even take 5 years to reach the “Venezuela” level, or perhaps an outright break with DC.

I expect some synergy between CA and the incoming Dem House. I also expect Trump will be a dealmaker, at first, until they convince him they still want his scalp. Then, he gets cranking on responding in kind.

      Popcorn?

    • Ex-PH2 says:

Best we know what she’s up to before she makes any real headway with it. She may be Miss Bubbly Boomboom right now but at some point, she will piss off the more senior memebers of Congress enough to bury her and her “plans” and she’ll get nothing done.
We could export her to Venezuela, couldn’t we?

      • 11B-Mailclerk says:

She will be the popular front-face for the howling mob that is always the spawn of the hard-progs.

That she is shat-bit crazy just helps. She won’t even -try- to explain anything rationally, just keep saying “just do it” or various vapid vaporous vomit. And the mob will lap it up.

Last clear chance for the remaining sane people in the Dem party to purge the crazies, before the crazies purge everyone else.

  13. Ex-PH2 says:

I didn’t see this bit of fluff about Alexandrai Obviously-Clueless until a little while ago, but-well, she wants to impeach Pres. Trump because of ‘just everything!!’

Can we help her run toward the edge of the cliff any faster? She makes lemmings look brilliant!

    • Ret_25X says:

She is, unfortunately, a fairly decent representation of the modern democratic party youth demographic.

They appear to be without capacity for thought, by my own take on that is to observe that this is a conditioned outcome. Those who do not think operant conditioning works need look no further to see that it does.

She represents what the future of American politics will be. Obnoxious, opinionated, and vastly ignorant of…well, anything.

But she is not some aberration from space. She is but a representation of what modern colleges produce. Morons with extreme levels of Dunning-Kruger symptoms.

You might say she is the perfect democrat.

But don’t laugh. Coming soon to both parties…

Which is why the more you know, the more you libertarian.
