Iran confirmed Wednesday it is holding U.S. Navy veteran Michael R. White at a prison in the country, making him the first American known to be detained under President Donald Trump’s administration.

Iran always seems to come out ahead when a deal is made to get things like this resolved.  I wonder if this time it will be any different?

Iran’s foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi was quoted as saying: “An American citizen was arrested in the city of Mashhad some time ago and his case was conveyed to the U.S administration on first days.”

The New York Times has put out a quote by White’s mother saying she learned three weeks ago that her son is alive and being held at an Iranian prison.

This will be interesting as to how it plays out.

They might find out that they are playing with different people this time. Not Open Up Obama.

Any U.S. citizen who travels to Iran needs to have his head examined. They should require that final scene where SFC Brody meets his end via crane as required viewing for anyone contemplating travel to Iran, followed by a few true stories about people incarcerated or disappeared by that evil regime.

I’m with rgr769. I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Americans that go to Iran, North Korea, etc. Even China the last few weeks has been rounding people up in retaliation for that executive being arrested in Canada.

Just about the time I’m thinking Navy Vets do have some sense, this tool goes into Iran chasing cooter kitty. Who in their right mind would ever consider going into that God forsaken place any how.

I fully agree with rgr769 (shocked face anyone?), mason, and JackietheJarhead.

Good Luck dumbass, this one is on you.

This guy is 46 years old and has, according to his mother, made 5 or 6 trips to Iran to visit his girlfriend. He is also undergoing treatment for a neck tumor.

46 is a bit old to be competing for the Darwin Award, but he’s got my vote.

You said it Brother. A 46 year old, in and out of Iran several times and for what? A girlfriend!?!? You gotta be shitting me! This guy means to tell us, that there are so few females in the world, he has to find one of Iranian origin and go make romance there. I hope she’s worth it bud and by worth it I mean maybe your damned head. But in my mind, she ain’t. No way, no fucking how!

You guys covered it quite well. It sucks to be that guy and I would say the same for any knucklehead who chose to go to Iran, Norkiland, or any number of other places, and got himself in a jackpot. I wouldn’t walk the mean streets of Baltimore, DC, Detroit, or Chicago, especially at night, and I sure as hell wouldn’t go to Iran, especially during the day.

The only way I would travel into any of these third world shitholes where we have virtually no rights is as part of a well armed military force capable and authorized to kill anyone that threatened my freedom or well being.

^^this^^ Going by the pic that EA posted below, Miss Thang is kinda sorta cute, and the puppy dog is just precious. That being said, there is somewhere in neighborhood of a 7 to 1 ratio of eligible females to eligible males worldwide, and the animal rescue groups are over run with cute puppy dogs needing a fur ever home. Again….dumbass!

That must be some amazing vag to risk going to Iran for.

    Pics or GTFO. 🤣

Had a guy in my platoon once in CONUS who was all moonstruck over some ‘girl’ he met on R&R. He wanted to marry her and said he was trying to get her to the states. What can you do?

  9. JURASSICHM says:

We should jail any Iranian that sets foot on American soil. Charge them with spying, illegal goat possession or whatever other creative charge we can come up with. Only let them go if they release Americans accompanied by plane loads of cash (no Iranian rials or pistachios).
